Everton v Man Utd team news: Martinez injured

There’s just one more Gameweek 27 fixture to come: Everton v Manchester United, which kicks off tonight at 20:00 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Michael Carrick has made one change this evening – but it’s not the anticipated one, as Benjamin Sesko again has to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Instead, it’s Lisandro Martinez who is replaced for tonight’s match on Merseyside.

He’s absent from the squad altogether due to a calf issue. The Athletic report that he could be out for 1-2 weeks.

Leny Yoro comes in for the sidelined centre-half.

There are three alterations for Everton.

One is enforced as Jake O’Brien misses out through suspension.

Vitaliy Mykolenko and Tyrique George drop to the bench, meanwhile.

Michael Keane, Tim Iroegbunam and Harrison Armstrong come in tonight.

    This seems to be a game where Utd could do with a striker who can play up against a defender, there’s no space behind for Mbeumo.

    everton spent like 40mil on dibling just to sit on the bench when a winger is sorely needed

    its almost ruining their season, do you think this just buying young players to sell on for profit might slow down soon? surely the difference of missing out on potential european football is worth alot more, just get a good team for the here and now

      They've got McNeil on there too who is a perfectly capable footballer. They've literally lined up with 3 centre backs and 3 defensive midfielders. To be honest it probably doesn't matter as Barry and Beto would be on the end of any service. KDH is probably wondering what the hell he's training with most weeks.

    This attacking lineup from Carrick is gash. Mbeumo and Bruno alternating playing up top... both wasted there. Why not play a real striker up top instead of shoehorning in people with 0 hold up ability that end up isolated and useless.
