NOTES
- My priority moves this week are bringing in Lionel Messi, João Klauss and Jeppe Tverskov. Tverskov, in particular, is starting to look close to essential right now thanks to his strong floor and San Diego’s continued run of favourable fixtures.
- Messi, on the other hand, is far from essential in the Sofascore game. That said, I do expect him to produce a big performance this week against a Charlotte FC side that haven’t looked convincing at the start of the season, especially defensively.
- Klauss has made a lightning start to his spell with LA Galaxy, scoring four goals in his first three league matches. They will be without both Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec this week, but I still think they – and Klauss in particular – will have enough to overcome Sporting Kansas City.
- Guilherme and Philip Quinton round out my moves this week. Both look like good-value, short-term punts with favourable fixtures over the next couple of rounds.

NOTES
- My goalkeepers will remain unchanged this week. They rotate well and cover two strong defences, so I’m happy to stick with them for now.
- In defence, I’m considering moving on Justin Che after last week’s attempt to chase his bonus potential backfired and resulted in negative points. A switch to Tayvon Gray is one possibility. Another option is Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who comes into this round off the back of two consecutive clean sheets and now faces DC United, a side that have scored just twice all season. That fixture could offer a strong opportunity for both clean sheet and bonus points. Zane Monlouis of Toronto FC is also another defender I may be tempted by.
- In midfield, despite having decent fixtures on paper, both Ilioski and Kristoffer Velde play in attacks that currently look disjointed and underperforming. Because of that, I’m looking to move them on, with Guilherme and Stephen Eustáquio among the players under consideration. Meanwhile, after a disappointing run, Emil Forsberg’s time in my team looks to be over. Hany Mukhtar currently leads the race to replace him, although Carles Gil also remains firmly on the shortlist.
- Up front, there’s a small chance Anders Dreyer could make way for a one-week punt on Martín Ojeda. San Diego FC face a tough away match against FC Dallas, while Ojeda looks appealing thanks to a favourable fixture and the potential boost following a recent managerial change.

NOTES
- Gameweek 3 brought just 65 points, which was very disappointing after investing heavily in New York Red Bulls, who ended up suffering a heavy defeat. It’s still early in the season though, so I’m not panicking yet and will start planning ahead for the upcoming international break.
- In goal this week, I’ll start with Ethan Horvath of New York Red Bulls in the early match, before switching to Yohei Takaoka of the Vancouver Whitecaps.
- In defence, Jamar Ricketts makes way for Richie Laryea of Toronto FC, who play early this weekend. Justin Che also leaves the team after just one week, replaced by the reliable Nkosi Tafari of LAFC, who have already kept three clean sheets this season. The rest of the defence is made up of Manu Duah, Rudy Camacho, and Nick Hagglund.
- In midfield, I’m moving on Hany Mukhtar, who has had a slow start to the season, bringing in Guilherme of the Houston Dynamo instead. I’ve also sold Adri Mehmeti for Carlos Gil, the key man for the New England Revolution. Jeppe Tverskov, who I believe is the best player in the game right now, keeps his place alongside Thomas Müller and Tedasco Segovia.
- Up front, Heung-Min Son makes way for in-form LA Galaxy striker João Klauss. Lionel Messi and Diego Rossi complete the attack.
- Captaincy will go to Lionel Messi, although I’ll still have some strong options to switch to if he delivers a low score.

NOTES
- I scored 81 points in Gameweek 3, but that still wasn’t enough to avoid a small two-place red arrow.
- This week I’m looking at moving on one of my goalkeepers, with both of them facing tricky away fixtures. Chris Brady and Novak Mićović are both in my thoughts as potential replacements.
- I’m unlikely to make many changes in defence. The only slight concern is Edier Ocampo, who played 90 minutes during the midweek fixtures. Chicago Fire have a favourable home matchup this week though, so I wouldn’t mind bringing in one of their defenders if I decide to make a move.
- A similar concern exists in midfield with Thomas Müller, who also played the full 90 minutes in the CONCACAF Champions Cup during the week. I’m also considering selling Mateo Silvetti and Emil Forsberg as part of my transfer plans.
- Up front, Anders Dreyer and Heung-Min Son both have strong matchups this week, so they look like straightforward holds. Meanwhile, Julian Hall could be sacrificed to make room for Lionel Messi.
