While it’s a quieter-than-usual Saturday of Premier League football, there’s plenty to interest Fantasy managers today.

New FPL darlings Brighton and Hove Albion are up later, while Liverpool and Brentford are both at home.

First up, though, is Arsenal v Bournemouth, which kicks off at 12:30 BST.

TEAM NEWS

The Gunners are still without Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber, while Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard are fresh casualties from midweek.

Eberechi Eze and Piero Hincapie are back from injury and among the substitutes, however.

There are three changes from Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League win over Sporting CP.

Myles Lewis-Skelly and Kai Havertz come in for Calafiori and Odegaard, while there’s also an alteration on the left wing as Gabriel Martinelli gets the nod over the benched Leandro Trossard.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice, who recovered from minor issues to feature against Sporting, start as expected.

It’s been a long time since Bournemouth last played a competitive match. Over three weeks, in fact, when they salvaged a late draw against Manchester United.

Andoni Iraola makes just one change to the side he sent out then, with Eli Junior Kroupi coming in for Amine Adli.

That alteration will see Marcus Tavernier move to a wider role.

Tyler Adams is fit again and makes the visitors’ bench.

LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Zubimendi, Havertz, Martinelli, Madueke, Gyokeres.

Subs: Arrizabalaga, Mosquera, Hincapie, Jesus, Eze, Norgaard, Trossard, Dowman, Salmon.

Bournemouth XI: Petrovic, Jimenez, Senesi, Hill, Truffert, Christie, Scott, Tavernier, Kroupi, Rayan, Evanilson.

Subs: Mandas, Adams, Brooks, Gannon-Doak, Smith, Diakite, Adli, Unal, Toth.

I'm not....I'm counting the good chances. So, Raya kicked the ball to the cherries striker right in front of goal and fortunately it bounces off him. Massive let off. I've counted four good chances for Bournemouth to Arsenal's one.

both have have 2 shots on target with the havertz chance the easiest in the match.

yeah but only one up until now was a proper chance. Bournemouth have had four very good chances where they should have scored from.

Anyone have a strategy if they’ve used their free hit already?
plan is to play a wildcard with only 4 players playing in the double gameweek, then bench them all the week after.

    Any tips boys?

    1. thegaffer82

Maybe go with 5 and then sell one and bench 4 the following week

    2. z13
        8 days, 7 hours ago

If you've used your free hit you should aim for as many doublers this week and then wildcard into 34, I guess?
So if your pre-WC team has 7 doublers, try to get to 9 or 10 and then WC them all out next week.
WC'ing now would feel like suicide

Doubtful he’s got 7 I would think. I would have had 3 and an injured Rodon had I not used my WC

If City beat Arsenal next week, then I can’t see anyone but City winning the league. But too early to say it’s over this week…

City will batter Arsenal next week. Rodri will dominate and show what Arsenal are missing (aggression). Cherries almost scored again but for a last ditch tackle. Should be 6-2 up now.

It's just how I've counted the chances. I've counted them to have 6 chances where they should have scored compared to Arsenal's. that's all.

An idea for Arteta… why don’t you try to set your team up to win games? And why don’t you try to get them to push forward BEFORE you are losing the game?
      Just an idea…

      1. Ignasi M
        • 8 Years
        8 days, 7 hours ago

I think Arteta did to be fair, with Havertz as the 10. It's just not Havertz's best position. We needed more of a presser and a knitter for today's game, like Odegaard or even Eze in that role. So we've lacked any fluency or passage of passing/triangles in midfield today. Also, no energy and total lethargy which always happens with Arsenal at home with early kick offs. Weirdly they're better away from home when it comes to early kin koffs.

i dont think arteta should survive if arsnela fail to win the league ( dont think ucl is a serious possibility)

only way fans can buy into this brand of football is if u win the league or ucl. at least the last couple of title races the football was entertaining

oh yeah, he'll be sacked. But Arsenal stand more of a chance winning the champions league with their style of play, so I fancy them to win the champs league rather than the EPL.
