The Eliteserien Fantasy season continues with Gameweek 5. Our contributors are here to share their thoughts ahead of the upcoming deadline.
In this article, they reveal the teams, along with their captaincy choices, potential chip strategies, and the players they believe can make the biggest impact this week.

NOTES
- Most of my comments from last week ended up being irrelevant, as Claus Niyukuri was confirmed fit. Because of that, I rolled the transfers and played a successful Park the Bus chip.
- Now I have three transfers available, and I could roll again. That may well be the sensible move, especially with cup games coming up in midweek and the blanks and doubles in Gameweeks 8 and 9 set to become clearer after that. Still, I have a different plan. There are two changes I want to make to my team regardless of what happens in the cup.
- First, I want to sell Jens Petter Hauge. I brought him in after his impressive Champions League campaign, but he has not looked close to scoring in the Eliteserien so far. In hindsight, I probably should have taken the more balanced route and gone for a Bodø/Glimt defender instead.
- Second, I want to bring in Viking attackers. The plan was always to look at them after Gameweek 4 anyway, and their shock 5-0 win over Bodø/Glimt has only strengthened the feeling that we should expect plenty from them going forward.
- I can make those changes by selling Thomas Lehne Olsen, Jens Petter Hauge and Niyukuri for Peter Christiansen, Simen Kvia-Egeskog and Fredrik Bjørkan.
- On paper, Kasper Høgh is the obvious captain this round at home to Aalesund. However, based on recent form, I’m planning to hand the armband to Christiansen once I’ve brought him in.
- The riskiest part of this plan is that I’m not saving any transfers for Double Gameweek 6. If any of my Tromsø or Bodø/Glimt assets pick up an injury, I may have to take a hit. It also means I’m not buying any Brann or Start players for their double, but I don’t really mind that. Their performances so far have not been convincing, and the fixtures do not look especially appealing either.
- We’ll get Bodø/Glimt’s lineup against Aalesund, so I won’t make any transfers until that team news drops.

NOTES
- Looking nicely set up this week for a strong Park the Bus play next week. It’s a shame how badly Attack Attack went last round, while Park the Bus seemed to go everyone else’s way, but I’m still happy overall.
- This week, I’m planning to roll the transfer again and save moves for bigger changes in Gameweek 6. Kasper Høgh keeps the armband. Lars Ranger could come in for Markus Karlsbakk, but I’d find it difficult to bench a home player who is on penalties and likely to play 90 minutes.
- Good luck, all.

NOTES
- Double Gameweek 4 is done, and I finished on 99 points, with a red arrow down to around 3k, mostly because I used the wrong chip.
- Once again, I’m looking to roll the transfer so I have four free transfers going into Double Gameweek 6. There are no real debates for me this week. I’m not thrilled about having Lars Ranger on the bench, but there is no one else I’d want to leave out. Kasper Høgh as captain also feels very obvious.
- Good luck, everyone!

NOTES
- After an impressive 129 points, which lifted me into the top 3k, I’ll use this Gameweek to prepare for the upcoming Double Gameweek 6.
- I’ve decided to make one transfer this week, bringing in Emil Varhaugvik Breivik at the expense of Felix Horn Myhre, despite Myhre having a Double Gameweek next week. It’s a risky move, but one I think is worth making, especially with Breivik already on four goals this season.
- Captaincy goes straight to Breivik, with Molde facing bottom-of-the-table Start. It feels very difficult to go without Molde assets this week.
