As we head into Round 29 of Saudi Fantasy, our experts are here to reveal their teams, break down their transfer plans, and explain the thinking behind their moves.

@DrWaleedKhokhar

NOTES

  • Round 28 finished on 90 points, which saw me drop just outside the top 5k overall after some late changes didn’t pay off.
  • Blank Round 29 changes everything. With no active players available, the Lone Ranger chip comes into play rather than using transfers. The aim is simple: maximise points this week while keeping things in a strong position for the rounds ahead.
  • The current setup looks like this:
  • Goalkeepers: Fernando Pacheco, Mailson
  • Defenders: Jamal Harkass, Abdurahman Al-Dakheel, Mohammed Mahzari, Yoann Barbet, Rebocho
  • Midfielders: Mourad Batna, Kostas Fortounis, Valentin Vada, Angelo Fulgini, Toze
  • Forwards: Yakou Meite, Omar Al-Somah, Roger Martinez
  • Captaincy is currently on Vada, although this Lone Ranger draft could still change before the deadline.

NOTES

  • Back-to-back green arrows against both Park The Bus and and Loan Ranger managers, despite taking a -16, is something I’m really pleased with.
  • The Loan Rangers chip is active this week, in what is the biggest blank of the season.
  • With just four fixtures scheduled, the focus is clear. Target the strongest assets from those teams and build around them. Defensively, I’m leaning heavily on Al-Taawoun for clean sheet potential.
  • Roger Martinez will take the captaincy.
  • If Joshua King is ruled out, I’ll look to bring in either Omar Al-Somah or Leandro Antunes.

NOTES

  • This is a blank round, with only four fixtures taking place, so the player pool is very limited.
  • With that in mind, the focus shifts to targeting the standout options from those sides. These are the players currently on my watchlist, either through free transfers or the Loan Rangers chip, as I look to maximise returns in a reduced Gameweek.
  • Captaincy is fairly straightforward this week, with Roger Martinez and Mourad Batna standing out as the leading options.

NOTES

  • Here we go – the biggest blank round of the season has arrived.
  • I’m coming off a huge 165-point score, but this week brings a completely different challenge.
  • Right now, I’ve only got two players available. With five free transfers, that takes me up to seven, which still isn’t ideal given how limited the fixtures are. It means every move has to count.
  • The current plan looks like this:
  • Out: Mahamadou Doumbia, Alexandre Lacazette, Malcom, Hassan Tambakti, Hattan Bahebri
  • In: Valentin Vada, Leandro Antunes, Jamal Harkass, Kostas Fortounis, Mourad Batna
  • There’s still a chance I take an additional hit to bring in one more player and maximise coverage.
  • Captaincy is currently between Leandro Antunes and Roger Martinez, with both offering strong upside in this round.
  • Good luck everyone!

NOTES

  • This is how my team is shaping up for the week.
  • I’ll be bringing in Kostas Fortounis in place of Bahebri, along with Toze replacing Malcom. In attack, Leandro Antunes comes in for Enrique.
  • Defensively, I’m making a double switch, with Andrei Girotto and Jamal Harkass replacing Shanquete and Tambakti.
  • The captaincy will go to Roger Martinez.
  • Looking ahead, I’m planning to activate the Wildcard in Gameweek 30.
