Attention switches to the Premier League title race in the evening kick-off, as Arsenal attempt to go six points clear of Manchester City.

Fulham provide the Gunners’ opposition in the 5.30pm BST match.

TEAM NEWS

Mikel Arteta has made five changes from the midweek draw in Madrid.

The fit-again Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze return to the starting XI this evening, while Leandro Trossard is also brought back in.

Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli have to make do with substitute duty but Martin Odegaard is absent entirely. Arteta had raised doubts about the Norwegian’s availability on Friday.

Riccardo Calafiori replaces Piero Hincapie at left-back, too.

In a slightly surprising call, Myles Lewis-Skelly comes into midfield as Martin Zubimendi drops to the bench.

As for Fulham, Marco Silva makes two changes to his side. Both are enforced.

Harrison Reed and Antonee Robinson come into the line-up, with Sander Berge and Ryan Sessegnon unavailable through illness and injury.

LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Rice, Lewis-Skelly, Eze, Trossard, Saka, Gyokeres

Subs: Arrizabalaga, Mosquera, Hincapie, Jesus, Martinelli, Norgaard, Madueke, Zubimendi, Dowman.

Fulham XI: Leno, Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson, Reed, Lukic, Smith Rowe, Wilson, Chukwueze, Jimenez.

Subs: Lecomte, Tete, Muniz, Cairney, Bobb, Cuenca, Kusi-Asare, King, Diop.

Saka is back. That's the difference. And now they have to because of goal difference is prolly going decide the winner.

I wanted to get Gyokeres for Welbeck with my only FT but was 0.1m short. Got Eze for Mitoma instead. 🙁

I’m just wondering if it’s worth saving my TC chip for an Arsenal player (maybe Saka) for a potential bloodbath against Burnley. Was going to play it next GW on Haaland but having second thoughts now. Saka has been excellent this first half.

Only obvious in hindsight, most went Eze. 7.5% ownership.

    A) Fulham not trying?
    B) Arteta distracted the Fulham players?
    C) Arteta bribed the Fulham players?

City will drop points against Everton and Bournemouth.
    Arsenal will actually win it.
They’ve been waiting long enough, maybe once the pressure is off and wait is over they will start playing interesting football next season.

This game is more luck than anything... I've come to embrace that. I get burnt, I get jammy points. Sometimes you can hope the stats point in your favour, but you're never certain, or else we'd be CC's or sports betting on CS or goals.. for example, all week, I was planning on James Justin, and DCL double up, one would have returned, the other not. I convinced myself otherwise in the week. Sometimes your instincts pay off, and sometimes they dont. So many results this season have not followed the script... example being Thaigo scoring as he has.. even tho I have him, not many would have predicted this many, or City's defence being woeful for much of the first half of the season... I comment as much as the next person, but I also know how much luck plays a part. Who would have known Chelsea or Spurs would be so bad... stats would not have leant to that prophecy.

Oh yeah totally agree it’s so heavily luck based but I’m thinking about the amount of noise and narratives that happen during an FPL week and a lot of content has lead to me overthinking and making poor decisions. It’s also worse mentally when that happens, so backing initial instincts in a particular week is my key takeaway. Agree that a lot happens that doesn’t make logical sense but that’s basically how football goes sometimes.

When you back your instincts, all the changes you wanted to make will haul.

It is what it is with FPL

Yeah I get that FPL does often feel like the one thing you do is the opposite of the outcome, but it’s worth a try.

All good fun tho, most of us will rarely reach the dizzy heights of winning this.. but we play, for that one moment, that one fleeting moment... when it all falls together for that perfect week... and a TC, a DGW, a TGW or a punt pays off big time
