The final two Gameweek 37 matches take place tonight.

Bournemouth v Manchester City gets us underway at 19:30 BST, with Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur kicking off 45 minutes later.

Both the title and the final relegation spot could be sewn up tonight. If City drop points on the south coast, Arsenal will be crowned champions. If Spurs beat Chelsea (a draw will almost certainly do, too), West Ham United are down.

TEAM NEWS

At the Vitality, Cityย boss Pep Guardiola makes two changes from Saturday’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea.

Mateo Kovacic for Omar Marmoush is the one outfield alteration, while Gianluigi Donnarumma returns to take his place from cup goalkeeper James Trafford.

Rayan Cherki is again only among the substitutes.

Andoni Iraola’s one change is an enforced one.

Tyler Adams is in for the suspended Ryan Christie.

Meanwhile, at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea make four changes from their narrow defeat to Man City on Saturday.

Malo Gusto and Reece James drop to the bench, while Joao Pedro and Levi Colwill are absent altogether.

Josh Acheampong, Andrey Santos, Pedro Neto and Liam Delap come in to Calum McFarlane’s side.

Spurs are unchanged from Gameweek 36.

Antonin Kinsky retains his place, despite Guglielmo Vicario returning to the matchday squad.

LINE-UPS

Bournemouth XI: Petrovic, Smith, Hill, Senesi, Truffert, Adams, Smith, Scott, Rayan, Kroupi, Evanilson.

Subs: Mandas, Cook, Brooks, Diakite, Adli, Unai, Toth, Gannon-Doak, Kluivert.

Manchester City XI:ย Donnarumma, Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, O’Reilly, Kovacic, Rodri, Silva, Doku, Semenyo, Haaland.

They didn’t win any of the 3 games against the clubs that they admitted to spying on but you can’t justify doing it by them not winning the games. They drew two of them, one being against Oxford who were relegated on goal difference. Had they not spied, Oxford may have won that game and not been relegated.

Advantage is based on the end result.. in the league, the only advantage was 3 points, here the advantage is a possible play off promotion.. the so called £200m game. If they dont set an example, teams will think it is fair game to actively spy on each other.. thats why they have the regulations. Southampton admitted breaches of regulations requiring clubs to act with the utmost good faith and prohibiting the observation of another club's training session within 72 hours of a scheduled match. Whether someone benefits or not, its irrelevant, they broke a rule that is set in the league. Thats like saying for example, you should only get punished if there is a benefit, like only getting done for speeding or jumping a red light if it results in an accident. Rules are rules... More fool them for breaking them multiple times. They have only themselves to blame. Feel for the fans and the players as its them that have to suffer after a long season.

Managers tell players to cheat every game, dive, time waste etc, all breaches of rules, that has far more influence over results than some crappy footage from far away

I don’t agree with your view on it but that’s what debate is right. I disagree that going down easily under a challenge or diving can have more influence on a game than monitoring an opposing teams training session within 72 hours of your match together.

            • 9 Years

They play the same lineup most weeks, you can learn more from watching them at the start of the match then adjust your team/tactics accordingly, it’s a seriously extreme punishment for something pretty minor and pathetic

If you’re in Middlesbrough shoes, I think any advantage is significant. The point you made kind of goes against you too. The line up wasn’t the same for either team. Middlesbrough shifted systems across the legs, drafting Dael Fry, Adilson Malanda, and Riley McGree into a back-three tactical layout for the second leg. Southampton altered their attacking and midfield shape for the second leg, re-introducing Ross Stewart and Kuryu Matsuki to the starting XI in comparison to the first leg.

Southampton also admitted to the charges, I’m not sure what options the EFL had. They’ve set the example now and hopefully it should deter it going forward.

Because its truly rare for returning players to get applauded, unless they left at the end of their contract amicably. Even rice was booed last week initially by West Ham fans and they loved him. Fans can be fickle at times. Sad.

So odd the reception some returning players get. Henderson didnt get booed by Liverpool, nor did Xaka at Arsenal.. Fans can be cruel at times. Rooney and Lampard I remember used to get serious abuse at Everton and West Ham... even though their transfers funded many new signings and helped their respective finances.
