That front three is what WC dreams are made off - everyone will have surely?

Only real surprises not to progress to knockout rounds - South Korea, Turkiye and maybe Uruguay?

Senegal fortunate to progress from third spot with three points, only team to do so? Cape Verde managed it automatically lol…

Nobody keen on Oyarzabal? Spain main striker, on pens and £8.1m
Seems like a snip to me.

Striker spots are valuable. Kane and Balogun both look better.

Nobody is going without Mbappe and Messi.

    Martinez, Rangel
    Dest, Vasquez, Cucarella, Brown, Medina
Vini JR, Olise, Dembele, Bellingham, Zico
    Mbappe, Messi, Haaland

Thoughts on this lot please? Is the midfield a little overkill / am I missing anyone obvious?

Can you fit in Lamine Yamal for Zico or for Dembele / Olis ? Triple french attack is a nice option however.

Yamal for Zico would be ideal, however literally 0ITB & he only costs 4.5mil.

I like this draft. I wish I had 0.2m for Martinez over Pickford but probably it's fine and I just do Pickford > new keeper once England get knocked out (or maybe they don't...)

    Pickford Shobeir
    Cucurella DeFougerolles D.Santos O'Reilly Molina
    Vini Dembele Yamal Manzambi Diaz
    Mbappe Messi Kane

Manzabi might get benched though, considering him myself.. but he only played last match from start. If I remember correctly

I'm pretty confident he starts. Basically Switzerland were turgid until he came on and won them the game as a sub in the 2nd game. He's been their most exciting attacker. Started the last game and did well also.

Him and Vargas are both game changers. If he doesn't do well it's completely fine since I have so many great players still to come and he's cheap to enable the others. If he played in the last round I wouldn't go for him but since he plays before Colombia and Argentina I'm willing to risk it.

Mine is very similar, basically Pulisic over your Diaz with a bit more money in defence

      Martinez Shobeir
      Cucurella O'Reilly Munoz Dest Medina
      Pulisic over Diaz
      (And Haaland over Kane)

What's wrong with that? Shobeir is 3.5m. This is a single keeper strategy. And a pretty good one.

    3. fenixri

Great team, very similiar to mine.

Pockford and Shobeir on sam side of bracket, I would go Freese from Usa.

Still not sure if Molina/Medina are nailed. Only safe options in Arg backline seems to be Martinez. Tagoiafico and Palacios played full 90 last match so it seems good sign for Molina/Medina

Also big question is third fed spot. I am concidering Haaland.

Did you try to go without Yamal?

I tried but I didn't like the midfield choices and it doesn't meaningfully improve the team.

I'm confident in both Medina and Molina. Going Molina for scouting bonus this round. Medina will come in for next round probably.

This is a single keeper strategy basically. I'm going Pickford every week with a random shot at Shobeir this round and a hail mary next round if Egypt progress. Beyond that, I play Pickford until England lose basically then use one of my FTs to fix him.

The best keeper setup is probably Crepeau - Martinez. But I'm strapped for cash and I want the attackers I have so this is the sacrifice I decided to make. I can see myself going JRod over Diaz especially with scouting bonus. But JRod only plays like 60-70 mins and I think extra time counts for points so Diaz could have a full hour more to play.

        1. Molina won't be under 5% come deadline
Save 0.4 and get Martinez over Pickford

Your team is very similar to mine, which obv means I like it. Had Shobeir for a bit until I realized it's probably a bad idea. Egypt by no means certain to progress, and then they play Argentina. Much rather find the funds for two teams that will progress, or one of them being Vargas

Given such one sided matches and qualification booster I think triple Argentina and England is the way to go

Do you think it's worth spending money in that GK spot to have a rotation?

The best double-up is probably Simon - Martinez. But for 1.5m I think you can probably do just as well with solo Martinez at least until the semis. Argentina have a clear run of CPV > EGY/AUS > COL(or worse).

I 100% do. In a game where you are allowed to change your keepers after the first has played it is pretty much essential to have two decent ones.

However, it is also about not having to book a transfer. Egypt will 90-95% be out by the R16 imo

Book a transfer... As it stands, I don't think I'm gonna use any transfers for next round and still think I will be completely fine haha. There are big mismatches in this round that mean upsets are super unlikely imo.

Don't see England, France, Argentina or Spain going out.

      Need your thought guys :

Really don't recommend Cucurella + Mendes together. They play each other next round. Mendes especially is super expensive.

I kind of like your cheap differentials. Nmecha and David are very different and could be good. Won't dissuade you off those.

Would recommend against triple French attack though because it limits your captaincy options. I'd pick Yamal over Olise or Dembele (funded by Mendes > D.Santos)

Triple Argentina is good, but certainly not triple attack. I'd remove DePaul and Lautaro and get to defenders personally. Their full backs probably have more attacking power than DePaul

Here is my draft. Playing qualification boosters. Prioritizing players pretty much certain to play, though think Manzambi is worth it

        Pickford / Vargas

Medina / Martinez / Cucurella / Konsa / Ream (USA)

        Yamal / Olise / Vini / Pulisic / Manzambi

        Kane / Mbappe / Messi

If Pulisic goes above 5% and/or is uncertain to start, I could change to Saibari and perhaps upgrade Ream.

I'd go JRod over Nmecha. He's looked good and he hasn't gotten points for it. That usually means a haul is coming. And he will have scouting bonus.

It's a really nice team. Not really much else to critique.

You could also consider Trossard. That last slot is prime for a punt. Nobody will have Trossard and he could easily get another 17 pter if Belgium fire.
