The World Cup Fantasy Quarter-final round is nearly here, so we’ve got top Fantasy managers – all adept at the international, short-term format – to share their latest drafts, chip strategies and transfers.

Among them are the UCL Fantasy winner (Joaquin Roth), the AFCON Fantasy winner (FPL Aguero) and the Fantasy Bundesliga runner-up (David Meijers).

I have no Morocco cover. Should I get some or focus on loading up on Spain, France and Argentine? Have 6 players out and 4 FTs.

I'm also considering Ounahi over Baena

The Casablanca Red Eye is all fuelled up and ready to whisk the Moroccan's back to Casablanca tonight. I wouldn't bother with any of their players.

You want "cover" for the team playing the best team in the tournament?

Would you use CS Shield this week or hold for semis?

    Maignan - Martinez
    Saliba - Cucu - Curbasi - Konsa - Martinez

      I'll use that now

Question is when we are going to have more real clean sheets. Since chip is wasted when team have not conceeded at all

          Indeed
In fact it is useful when the team concedes one goal
Keeping in view your back line, I'd use that now

Got WC so not concerned about the outcome
        What do you think now
I should have mentioned that earlier

      A

Progression is irrelevant based on your WC in hand, but don’t see Morocco scoring

Ok to take a hit? -3

I’ve 5 players out or just play with 14?

    Player in is Baena (-3)?

I'm playing with 12 and no hits

Not worth to take a hit for Baena imo

depends if you are serious about the game
I took a -3 in the earlier rounds for Lukaku - failed miserably
I would take a -3 for a differential that you can (c) perhaps?
      Not beana

Haha, no. Never again. Those hours and hours I spent I will never get back again unfortunately. Just took too much of my time as i got addicted to it. I was miserable most of the time. The lows ended up being way worse than the ups and I just couldn't play the game without taking it seriously. Pointless for me to be casual.

I just had to walk away.

Yeah, it does take away enjoyment of the game massively sometimes. If youre doing bad then youre not happy and if youre doing well become obsessed with player outcomes rather than enjoying the games for what they are.

Do we think a -6 (6 Transfers, 4 Mids, 2 Defenders) is acceptable if I have 7 players that are unavailable?

Also using my Clean Sheet Shield this week that should cover the cost of the transfers

    1. Mozumbus
      • 5 Years

With 7 unavailable players, you'll have 3 after using A FTs
If one of the unavailable players is GK then no need to take a hit imo

Yeah one dead spot is a Keeper. Happy to trust Martinez won't concede more than 1. Can see the Swiss game being cagey

With the logic of Shield, is it worth to play it in semis, when there are 4 strongest teams and all of them may concede? Also with 4 games now it is easier to navigate with subs rather than when there are only 2 games in a round. Correct me if I am wrong anywhere.

I like that logic. Could see semis being 1-0 or 2-1 type games.

I played mine last round for zero points. Got a clean sheet from Morocco & France anyway. Plus I had Argentina & USA defenders.

Would you bring in Baena or Gordon? And Porro or Cubarsí?
