Fantasy Premier League (FPL) may not be live yet for 2026/27 but some new features were rolled out on Thursday ahead of this month’s likely relaunch.

In a nutshell, the season history page has been improved.

FPL managers could already view their previous ranks going back to 2006/07, when records began.

Now, however, Fantasy bosses can see:

  • Their final rank as a percentage of all teams in a given season
  • A ‘career average’ points tally, rank and % rank
  • A % for your overall rank every Gameweek in the current season

EXAMPLE

A picture often says a thousand words, so let’s use Fabio Borges from our very own Hall of Fame as an example.

ranks FPL

Above, you can see his season-on-season FPL ranks now given as a percentage. This is highlighted in red.

At the foot of the above image, you can also see his career averages. We’ve highlighted this in green.

ranks FPL

Looking at the current season above (which is 2025/26 before the game relaunches), we can see how Fabio’s rank compares Gameweek-on-Gameweek. This is highlighted in orange.

WHERE TO FIND YOUR OWN FPL CAREER HISTORY

On the FPL website (this feature is not yet available on the app)…

  • Click on ‘Points’
  • Select ‘Gameweek History’ in the ‘Points & Rankings’ section (highlighted in blue in the graphic above)

CHECK OUT OUR OWN HALL OF FAME!

For more rank comparisons, don’t forget to check out our very own Hall of Fame.

In this, we rank the season histories of managers who have entered either/both of our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-leagues.

You can read more information on this here.

Teams are converging now, if you’re not there now, it’ll be hard to improve at this point.

I think it's make or break now
For instance i have got haaland Ryerson and no England
So if by chance England doesn't score and haaland does, I'll have a big green arrow
      Fingers crossed

Now that FPL has started displaying %Rank for each Gameweek and %Finish for each Previous Season, I am thinking of starting a "Top 0.1% Any Season" mini-league.
I achieved this once, in 2013/14 when I came 3,391st, and I also managed to get top 0.2% in 2010/11 when I came 3,852nd. These were my only two top 10k finishes.
Fabio Borges had seven successive top 0.1% or top 0.0% finishes from 2015/16 onwards.
This is perhaps now a more relevant method of comparing previous seasons than the old top 10k.
Does this sound like a good idea, or have we got enough similar mini-leagues already?

Multiple 10k finishes is the same thing

Not quite the same thing when you compare different seasons.
For example, looking at Alex Merchant, his 8,392nd in 2024/25 was 0.1%, but his 8,253rd in 2009/10 was only 0.4%.
So some of those who finished in the top 10k many years ago when there far fewer FPL teams might never have finished with a 0.1% or 0.0%.

        In fact, it's completely different.
Multiple Top 10k Finishes requires two or more finishes in the top 10,000, and it doesn't matter whether they happened recently or many years ago.
Top 0.15% Any Season however only requires one finish, but in 2025/26 this would have to be in the top 20k, and 15 years ago it would have had to be in the top 4k.
So many of those who finished in the top 10k years ago may never have finished in the top 0.15%, and some of those who finished in the top 0.15% last season may never have finished in the top 10k.
Some elite players such as Fabio have finished in the top 0.15% many times, but that's not what this mini-league is about.
Anyone who has finished in the top 0.15% at least once can enter, but competitors are then ranked according to their scores in the current season.

A %Rank listing of 0.1% actually means between 0.05% and 0.15%. In 2025/26 this would mean a rank of between 6,525th and 19,583rd.
Perhaps "0.0% Any Season" (meaning the top 0.05%) would be better. In 2025/26, this would be the top 6,524.
But then I wouldn't be eligible to enter it myself - would anyone else fancy running it?

Arguably top 0.1% with less teams is better than with more because the number of teams keep going up GW on GW and the added numbers are messers. Also there used to be only one wildcard and now there's chips first 19GW and second 19GW, defcon points, second half of the season league and who knows what they'll have in '26/'27.

A %Finish listed as 0.0% indicates a finish in the top 0.05%, and a %Finish listed as 0.1% indicates a finish that is in the top 0.15% but not in the top 0.05%,
so you may be right - perhaps they just didn't leave enough space for the second decimal place.

I don't know how popular the new mini-league is likely to be, but I've only had one %Finish of 0.1% myself and none of 0.0%, so I qualify for the Top 0.15% Any Season mini-league but wouldn't qualify for a Top 0.05% Any Season one.
My current plan is to start a Top 0.15% Any Season mini-league only and see how it goes.
It's a pity that a %Finish listed as 0.1% doesn't indicate a finish in the top 0.1% - that would be so much neater if it did (I have actually suggested that to FPL Support).

I'll see how mine goes first, but someone else is welcome to start a Career Average one if they wish to do so.
What level do you think the Career Average should be set at in order to qualify?
        - elevenify.com and Tom Dollimore, the top two in our Hall of Fame, both have Career Averages of 0.1%.
        Fabio Borges's is 0.2%.
My own Career Average is 4%, the same as Ben Crellin whose average suffered from a 36% and a 28% in two of his first three seasons.
There might be thousands of teams that would qualify after a single season, and many might have to be removed in subsequent seasons if their Career Average drops below the qualifying score, so perhaps a minimum of say two or three seasons should be applied?

Mine's 0.7% career average so would welcome a top 1% career league certainly. Few of us around I reckon. Well me and Fabio and Tom so far at least.

Six of the top ten in our Hall of Fame have Career Averages of 1% or better.
These six vary from 0.1% to 0.6%
The other four are Abinav C (2%), Ben Crellin (4%), Pro - (2%) and Harry Daniels (2%).

            The top ten in Top 10k Any Season last year had Career Averages of 3% (15 seasons), 2% (10 seasons), 2% (12 seasons), 4% (19 seasons), 0.2% (10 seasons - Professor Bear), 1% (15 seasons), 1% (13 seasons), 5% (14 seasons), 4% (11 seasons) and 10% (14 seasons).
I was surprised that these were all experienced players with 10 or more seasons.

            The top ten overall last year had Career Averages of 0.0% (1 season), 45% (4 seasons), 37% (9 seasons), 13% (9 seasons), 29% (4 seasons), 0.0% (1 season), 4% (15 seasons), 24% (14 seasons), 0.0% (1 season) and 0.0% (1 season).
Four of these were in their first season, and only one of the others had a Career Average of less than 10%.

So a 2% Career Average (minimum 2 seasons) mini-league looks about right.
I wouldn't qualify for it myself, but could include myself as its League Administrator.

Career average sucks. I deleted my account in 17/18 (losing my best ever ranks), and just played the final 3 or 4 weeks for gw ranks. Not surprisingly, I finished 100%. Without that year, my average is 1.3% over the last 8 years, but with it included, it jumps to 12%.

Happy to run specifically a Top 1% Career Average mini-league for as long as I keep qualifing & playing the game myself. Doesn't seem like it would be too much extra effort to add that one to my mini-league portfolio. Obviously will inevitably be copious interlopers which is the annoying bit, but sometimes find it strangely sadistically satisfying booting time-wasters lol

I wouldn't faff around with any over 2%/1% ones though as would be a lot more admin and my elistist raison d'être doesn't allow me to anyway. I wouldn't think I'd be putting a minimum of 2 seasons required either as surely Top 1% one-season wonders would be rare

I think that your new mini-league probably shouldn't include the word "Top" in its title.
It's for teams with a Career Average of at most 1%, not for the best 1% of all teams when ordered according to their Career Averages.

Yeah I see what you mean. The way they list the percentages then if you have a 1% career average then that actually means over the 1% doesn't it? Thinking of maybe a 'Sub 1% Career Average' mini-league then? Any naming suggestion welcome...

Yes, a Career Average listed as 1% does appear to mean an average of between 1% and 2%.

I started my first fpl season in January. I don't like average of all seasons, it's too random. Deleting account might give advantage. Multiple (3-5) top x% finishes might make more sense.
