After the culmination of Saturday’s Premier League football, our Scoreboard rounds up the key Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 5 numbers.
The goals, assists, defensive contributions (DefCon) and bonus point summaries are from our new Match Centre.
The tables of shots, chances created and expected goals (xG) are official Opta data taken from our Members Area.
At least it's a good week to have a bad week
Depends how tomorrow goes though, I’m worried
There’s more to life dan diss.
Was it just the one VAR disaster today or did I miss some? Sport's effed.
I was an advocate of VAR when it first came out. Now I would rather it wasn’t here!
10pts (-4) from 6 players. I think that's wildcard time.
Same. Although it was always the plan to do it around he here to prepare for a BB.
I need to bring Gross in just so he stops scoring
It’s a bad week for everyone
Well done agent Muñoz, knew you wouldn't let us down.
On the bright side everyone else was a let down too
Not too sure if anyone would believe I had Gross and Thomas in my playing 11. Decent week.
What a weird gw haha, Barry returns, Van Hecke returns, I benched Arsenal defence, and everyone else blanked.
Glad I slept through it
And still got a tiny green arrow
Annoyed Barry didn’t get his 2nd goal. Another poor VAR decision imo.
Glad I missed that too, had too many of those, annoying
Johnson apparently interfering with play even though went in off post and keeper nowhere to be seen. Shocker really.
Best mids on WC
Gross, Schade, and then what?
Bruno, Saka, Palmer?
Rogers, Szobo?
Seems like each week different players returning.
Feels like a season to be patient, so competitive
I like King's next 3
At the moment Palmer seems very poor value for money. Would actually rather Bruno at the moment even though very expensive. Roger’s probs covers Palmer for 2 mill cheaper. Villa MF seems decent. Manzibi. Gakpo possible good shout too.
would make sure you have szobo
I like Rogers, Szoboszlai, BrunoF/Saka/Palmer, Gross, and then maybe Schade, but who are you gonna bench each week?
Thanks guys.
Just really frustrated with my team and don’t have Schade and Gross who seem such great value.
As do most of us. Unfortunately half the game will buy at least Gross this week, so whether he does well from here on in is not as good (still enables you to buy more expensive guys elsewhere though so I'm getting him now).
Saka Bruno/Mbeumo Rogers Gross Tavernier ... will be a long weeks of thinkering with Schade may get a spot
I don't see the value in Szlob, Bruno or Palmer, personally. Last 2 are v expensive and misfiring (and Palmer hasn't been trustworthy for 2-3 seasons, for various reasons). Szlob also doing nothing, in a dodgy LIV team (and I'm a LIV fan). I have him and Bruno but getting rid on WC.
Best options IMHO are: Rogers, Gross, Saka, Tav, Schade, King
Maybe's are: Barnes, KDH, MGW, Semenyo, Mbuemo, Ode
Bruno.and rogers
Hard to say with the IB. But If I had to pick a WC team right now, it would be this:
Gross, Schade, Barnes, Palmer, Rogers
Schade and Groß on my bench for MGW, Saka and Rogers is destroying my mental health
Oh dear
Logical
Tzolis to Groß?
Go for it. Brighton have a few tricky games but I think their fixtures are pretty kind
Yes
at least murillo just about jammed defcon at the end
tarkowski was the chosen one (in terms of defcon CBs). fair play to any that went there, what a huge start to the season he's had
Tzolis to Groß is a no-brainer right?
Brighton scoring so many goals, I gotta get on the train.
Derp. It was asked 2 posts up... and probably 1000 times today so far. Sorry all.
Does Gros play any international football or start or get a break for a few weeks?
No
No but too long a break could get a domestic accident 😉
For a moment I thought you said domestic incident
He has not been called up to Jurgen Klopp's 44 man squad for Germany, so he gets a rest.
Hi. Would you hit wildcard here? If so pressing tonight before saka / gross rises
In 2 minds - but think I should. No idea yet who id bring in - thanks
Kinsky verbruggen
Calafiori maguire ajer egan davis
Bruno mbeumo szob kdh (sangare forest)
Haaland pedro dcl
Eh, it's almost template if you did 1-2 transfers, so I personally wouldn't wildcard.
I am in a similar boat to you but I'm going to wait until there's injuries or some problems that 1-2 transfers can't fix. Every team is all over the place right now. People buy chelsea and arsenal and they all blanked.
WCed with similar team, don’t think I would be able to ride my luck beyond this week
That’s a lot of United
These IB always upset the rhythm of the PL. Such a long one too. I don't think you can confidently say that the in form teams will remain in form when the PL restarts. Its almost like starting the season a fresh. I get why people would play the WC over this break, but honestly, feels like stabbing in the dark IMO.
Not sure IB is the best time to WC either. Used to be 10 years ago but no material prices rises to chase. I will FH in GW9 and then WC in GW10 when we settle into a better understanding of teams/players. Everyone is knee jerking all over the place right now.
Fair point. The week after the international break is generally a low scoring week, with most players looking very tired.
Many GW 3 wild carders have been stumbling. GW 4 WC wasn't easy. GW 5 has no rhythm, so far. Post-IB, will it be better/easier? Maybe not. "Plan for the best, prepare for the worst"
gross would need just 4 ppg for the rest of the season to get 180, crazy. just hope from here on out he can manage 4.5, would take him to basically 200, blimey
Pitty I didn’t play Verb over Kinsky but still nice to see Gomez and Ajer points before WC
Considering Pascal Groß is German maybe he should re think his celebration.
Woke nonsense
Says the one
Hall bumped up to 3 bonus
Bonus monster.
Season saved
Thomas and Vuskovic points waving from the bench.
weeks that begin smelly often continue in the same vein.
Consequent knee jerk / rage reactions often make things worse.
Stay calm, trust the recent wildcard?
Yes, trust. Anomalies exist, random things can and will happen, but the odds are low - recent wildcard is beyond this GW
Dedic to who for max 5.3 M?
I thought about De Cuyper but I have Verbruggen already and don't know if I want to double up Brighton defence. The fixtures are still tough plus CL games after a break... Hall maybe??
Silva or Schuster
Vuskovic or Silva
Aargh worst on WC 2 weeks ago was ditching Gros. Aargh FFS.
Lost Schade and DCL on WC4, Szob and Isak have some catching up to do tomorrow
Benching him (double hauls missed) is possibly even worse than ditching/not owning
Odegaard + Isak >> Saka + Barry/Gonzalo tonight before the rises?
Leno
Hall Konsa Califiori
Palmer Rogers Gross Odegaard
Haaland JPedro Isak
Kinsky Williams Slater Mendy
Rookie question.
If I take a hit tonight, I can reverse it by activating WC later right?
Don’t have head space to do all the moves but want to jump on Groß before his price increase.
Yes. Wildcard will remove the -4 hit if done in the same week.
Here's a quote from the rules page/chips in game: "Wildcard All transfers (including those already made) in the Gameweek are free of charge."
Thank you pal.
Thought so.
Did Sangare to King. Really wish I got Gross now. Guess too late to change now.
Awful week so far. 30 odd with just Bruno and Haaland (c) to go
14 with only 3 left to play.
Would you get rid of Palmer or Szbo to bri g in Gros?
Lol
Szoboszlai out of those. Could backfire but hasn’t yet
Szobo yes pool tough NXT 4 and he is basically an expensive gross
Palmer depends on who you want to captain
LMS safety score currently 10
https://plan.livefpl.net//LMS
Phew. Thanks TM.
At least I’m still in this…
Tzolis drop imminent. Would you get Barnes or Tavernier. Newcastle have the fixtures…
eh. Barnes maybe.
17 with 6 left, Haaland(c), Cherki, Gakpo, Szoboszlai and Gvardiol, need Liverpool and City to go big tomorrow
You are probably in a better situation than most.
Hall scored more than my other 7 starters 😮
Kinsky
Cala
Konsa
Rogers
MGW
