43 from 9 is a good score this week, but wrongly losing that KDH assist and the Wissa pen miss are very annoying

Plus an unlucky MGW blank after burning him in for BrunoF.

very good score IMO unless there's some massive scores from the usual players tomorrow.

Just saw the goal, was it a Tarkovski goal instead so KDH gets an assist?

Flashscore says Barry goal, Tarkowski assist, but I dunno.

oh nevermind the corner was nothing to do with it. It was a Tarkowski shot and it just hit Barry. The goalkeeper punched it out, so couldn't have been anyone else.

Lol I need to read. I see now that you are talking about the SECOND goal that was disallowed.

It's very obvious it was a KDH corner and Barry hit it in (no other touches). I don't see why it was disallowed tbh, but then I'm not a ref.

Nah Barry redirected the Tark volley with his chest. Looked intentional too.

Btw congrats on your amazing season. 5k is incredible!

MGW last on my bench one week ago - open sea, no Internet, unable to sub him in. Now, Groß 2nd on my bench, deliberate choice. "FPL is life"

Low-scoring weeks (congrats Feanor) are the best, so many actions/reactions

My Bench: Verbruggen (6), Thomas (9), Gomez (8), Ballard (didn't play yet).

Verbruggen was 7 points about 10 mins ago. Not sure where the point was removed, but it doesn't affect me.

GW 1 bench boost, 9 points. GW 2, 3, 4 and 5, more points on the bench. Long season, though, chips and some single GW scores can make it easier but picking the right players (your bench is great and I guess the rest of your team is also great) means more

This week Wissa misses when he's in my team. 0/3 on outcomes

I don’t own but I can’t really see the point in jumping on him now, points are gone and like ya say 3 weeks is a long time, anything can happen, and what happens when Mitoma & Hinshelwood are back fit? It’s all a bit of an unknown.

I have sangare so is a easy sell tonight and have 3 free transfers and a decent enough squad with only cherki and szobo other potential issues but defense is strong NXT week

So depends on the team. He is not in the German squad so I would say get him in if it's for obvious moves like sangare

In the season in which Leicester City were flying I’ve made a mistake of not jumping on Mahrez and Vardy because surely the points „are gone”

Brighton look the real deal, not making the same mistake again.

Not a chance in hell I'd have Palmer on WC.

Looks back to his best individually, but this Alonso system + Neto as RWB stifles his creative freedom massively

      1. Stranger Mings
        • 5 Years
        6 hours, 2 mins ago

        Ok thanks

      2. Caicedo will be back though. Due to his absence he had to do more work deeper in midfield. Still think would prefer chelsea's fixtures over utds and due to price difference palmer over bruno. If one defaults to Haaland permacap then can swerve both palmer and bruno

        1. #1 Arne Engels Fan
          • 2 Years
          5 hours, 52 mins ago

I don't think it has anything to do with Caicedo's absence tbh - I think Alonso is just a "system over individuals" manager. He builds around getting the best of the system, not of the players that are in it.

Watch how many times Palmer is open through the lines waiting to receive it on the half turn when they play. I lost count vs Brentford

Instead they just ignored him completely, kept passing it sideways and recycling the ball either across the back 3 or out wide to the wingbacks and tried to manufacture crossing opportunities - at which point Palmer was usually sat back towards the half way line or standing outside the box waiting for a slim chance the clearance possibly falls his way

Get that part but palmer did say he gets lot of freedom now to drift around after the Fulham match.

The analysis and my observation after the matches was that he formed a 3 with the midfield pivot and had to play deep most times last few matches.

As you say he does look sharp and produced killer passes yesterday. Joao pedro being back is a big factor too

            1. #1 Arne Engels Fan
              • 2 Years
              5 hours, 30 mins ago

Easy to get space to drift around against Fulham.

Realistically though there are 18 teams better than Fulham in the league. Your observation is the same as mine, though I'd add he doesn't drop as deep when Neto isn't playing RWB. When Neto roams forward, Palmer drops into the right side of that pivot you mention to cover - which happens a lot.

Neto went off vs Brighton and Palmer scored shortly after. Compare that to the other flank and the LWB doesn't get forward anywhere near as much as Neto, making Rogers the better asset and the cheaper one. No need for both

              1. IAWC ( It's a Wonderfu…

                4 hours, 53 mins ago

Yh get your reasoning for rogers but it's more cause gusto or mainly hato played there. Also I have seen rogers drop to the middle too. Yesterday chavaria made a lot of runs fwd and with pallestra back the dynamic could change after the international break

I do think rogers is a very good asset and value wise is better than palmer but palmer mainly is for his explosive hauls/pens and previous fpl track record. And with money not that tight with cheaper assets like gross, konsa,Decuyper offering more than their prices feel 9.5 is not bad for a xfactor player with decent fixtures mid term

I already own Gross and De Cuyper, but am thinking about bringing in another Brighton asset. Which option is best?

    A) Kinsky > Verbruggen
    B) Isak > Kostoulas and then use the money saved to do Odegaard > Saka

I'm flip flopping between the two. Verbruggen is nailed and will always play but has a smaller upside, whereas Kostoulas has a higher ceiling but is likely to share minutes with David.

How to get Sangare to Pascal Gross since I have triple Brighton

    1. Yalcouye —> Yarmoliuk (need to do tonight)
    2. Yalcouye —> Slater (can stomach the price changes)
    3. De Cuyper —> Muharemovier (do tonight)
    4. De Cuyper —> Robinson (can wait)
    5. Verbruggen —> Leno
    6. Bruno, Yalcouye —> Gross and ANY mid except Saka and Palmer

    One question
    One spot on wildcard

    R - Rayan
    B - Barnes
    T - Tavernier

Rayan would mean downgrading Kinsky to a 4.0 back up keeper (have Raya)

    Cheers me dears

I was leaning T as my rival has B

But then thought maybe B could be a proper differential if he wzplodes now he’s fit and a main player

Do we get our transfers back if we WC, right? For example, if I bring Groß in tonight to use my 3 FT. Will I get all 3 back if I WC??
