Gameweek 8 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gets underway at Portman Road this evening.

Ipswich Town v Nottingham Forest kicks off at 8pm BST.

TEAM NEWS

Ipswich make two changes from their 3-2 defeat at Manchester City last Saturday.

Abdul Fatawu and Jaden Philogene come in for Jacob Greaves and Daizen Maeda.

That’ll almost certainly prompt a change to a back four.

Oliver Glasner has also made two alterations from last weekend.

Morgan Gibbs-White returns from injury, while Nikola Milenkovic – a substitute last weekend – is back in the XI.

Ousmane Diomande drops to the bench, but Nicolas Dominguez isn’t in the squad at all.

            The precedent here is he was last man and the defender makes zero effort to play the ball.

                Yes for me. Watch the replay again, he accelerates thinking he can get the ball on the penultimate touch, attacker was just too quick and nudges it away from him with the next touch.

                In my opinion, the bar for a red card needs to be fairly high otherwise you will eliminate tackling from the game.

                Yep it's very subjective - depends on referees and VARs assessment of the situation. Ref has the final decision - looks like he decided to overrule VAR on this occasion.

            What? "Last man" isn't a rule. It's "denial of a goal scoring opportunity". So it's a subjective call whether there would have been a clear goal scoring opportunity.
