Sunday’s Premier League football begins with four matches, all kicking off at 14:00pm GMT:

TEAM NEWS

Without doubt, the headline is seeing out-of-form Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes get benched for tactical reasons. Lacking a win in seven matches across all competitions, Michael Carrick really needs this ‘Hail Mary’ to pay off.

Bryan Mbeumo is fit to start, as the Red Devils make two changes from last weekend’s draw.

Opponents Bournemouth bring Justin Kluivert in for Ryan Christie.

Another under pressure to deliver big calls is Newcastle United’s Matthias Jaissle. He’s taken out five players – Yoane Wissa, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Lewis Miley and Matias Fernandez-Pardo – and given the nod to Will Osula, Fabian Schar, Dan Burn, Jacob Murphy and Amar Dedic.

Their hosts, Crystal Palace, start Dwight McNeil, Axel Disasi and Jean-Philippe Mateta rather than Honest Ahanor, Quinten Timber and Jorgen Strand-Larsen.

Owners of Mamadou Sangare and Kevin Schade will be pleased to see them make Brentford’s XI. Aaron Hickey also comes in, as Jaidon Anthony and the suspended pair Vitaly Janelt and Yehor Yarmoliuk go out.

Hull City also alter three names: Ryan Giles, Elliot Stroud and Tim Iroegbunam are replacing Matt Crooks, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Sorba Thomas.

At Anfield, injured duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz‘s spots go to Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo. Visitors Brighton and Hove Albion are unchanged.

Going to be so frustrating if DCL returns today. Gvard blocking him on bench.

      Who's sacking who?

      1. Shareholder vote to sack current board

This might take a bit of explaining

I think he works in finance tho.

            1. Shouldn’t allowed to run club into ground and be invincible just because of being owners.
Fans etc should have the power to vote them out, like an election.

The problem is the owner and the way they've rinsed the club.

Is it Grant Thornton that you work for?

Or was that in the past...

                1. Owner isn’t the board though, so owners could sack the board in theory.

Also like I’ve said should be an election to choose who runs club, owner being owner is fair dos but no owner wants to lose money so surely in interest to get best board possible to run club and if not performing out they go.

Used to work for them yes.

                    I agree with you here

But the Glazers have just milked the money out of the club and loaded it with debt.

Similar to what our Australian cousins advised the shareholders of Thames Water to do.

              2. Ask yourself this, what’s a football club without fans?

Nothing, and that’s what will happen if something isn’t done so even if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense or isn’t the accepted way, it would have the right impact.

If the fans had that power they'd never have taken over in the first place. Unfortunately that's not how it works. I wish it was.

                1. Owning and running s

                  1. Should be separate, maybe Ineos can look in their back pocket purchase an extra 10% share and kick them out

Ineos aren't exactly an improvement, they're the ones running the football side and Ratcliffe is just an embarrassment all round.

                      1. Just find it bizarre how it’s always the manager they rotate.
Feel sorry for them really, it’s like everyone else at club including players gets away with poor performance, zero accountability or care I think.

          2. Listed business so in theory collectively them, surely they want current board out, couldn’t turn on a chocolate teapot current lot

    3. Gizzachance

68 points all out. Happy with that in a ridiculous GW. Manzambi 1 pointer subbing in for JP but at least I had the VC on Haaland. Konsa, Tavernier, Jackson, King, and Hall all chipping in this week. Palmer and Rogers 0 points combined and Silva 8 points last on the bench the only real disappointments.
