The Eliteserien Fantasy returns with Gameweek 26, and our contributors are here to share their thoughts ahead of the upcoming deadline.

In this article, they reveal their teams, along with their captaincy choices, potential chip strategies, and the players they believe can make the biggest impact this week.

@FPL_Geir

  • The top two teams, Viking and Bodø/Glimt, face each other this round. Fortunately, we’ll get the line-ups before the deadline, and both sides should prioritise such an important match. I’m confident Peter Christiansen, Zlatko Tripić and Fredrik Sjøvold will start. However, another benching for Andreas Helmersen would suggest he is no longer part of Kjetil Knutsen’s preferred XI.
  • If all my players start, I’ll likely roll my transfer. That would give me more flexibility ahead of Viking’s and Rosenborg’s favourable fixtures next week. However, if Helmersen starts on the bench again, I’ll need to reconsider my plans.
  • I’d happily bring any of my substitutes into the starting XI if I could trust their minutes. Unfortunately, injuries have created uncertainty around Marcus Haagensen Reed and Uba Charles Nwokoma. Meanwhile, Claus Niyukuri hasn’t started recent Eliteserien matches, which limits my options.
  • If Helmersen misses out, my preferred solution is to replace him with Kristian Lønebu. His four-goal haul last time out is unlikely to become a regular occurrence, but he’s certainly impressed since joining Molde. The main concern is their difficult fixture schedule for the remainder of the season.
  • I originally considered Amin Chiakha the standout captaincy option this round. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury during the cup match and came off at half-time. His manager expects him to be available this weekend, but I’m unsure whether he’ll be ready to play the full 90 minutes.
  • With Chiakha’s minutes uncertain, I don’t see an obvious captaincy choice. I could genuinely make a case for any of my seven attackers! At the moment, I’m leaning towards Emil Breivik, who at least offers plenty of security when it comes to playing time.

@Corey0Conway

  • Honestly, it’s absolute carnage this week! Viking and Bodø/Glimt face each other, Amin Chiakha and Marcus Haagensen Reed are flagged, and Sander Alvheim is suspended.
  • I’ve made one transfer, replacing Alvheim with the in-form Kristian Lønebu. I could easily have made several changes, but with only one free transfer available, I’m reluctant to take any hits. The team is a bit of a mess, but I’d rather avoid making things worse!
  • My benching order is still completely up in the air, and the same goes for captaincy. Chiakha probably has the best fixture, but doubts over his fitness could push me towards someone else. Emil Breivik is one alternative I’m considering.
  • There’s not a huge amount to analyse this week. My team doesn’t look particularly convincing on paper, so I’m just hoping to get through the round without taking too much punishment!

@MichaelNormNorm

  • I’ve made three transfers this week to deal with injuries and hopefully mount a comeback over the final four Gameweeks of the season.
  • My first transfer was a forced change in goal. Jacob Dahlberg withdrew from Lillestrøm’s squad just before kick-off last time out, leaving me needing a replacement. With my other planned moves in mind, Vidtun Nilsen was the only affordable option.
  • I don’t have much confidence in Brann keeping clean sheets, but the alternative was Stefan Hagerup. He could lose his starting place once Dahlberg returns from injury. That would leave me with two goalkeepers who might not play, so Nilsen feels like the safer choice.
  • My second transfer sees Alexander Warneryd make way for Adrian Pereira. Rosenborg have been in unstoppable form and have an excellent run of fixtures ahead. Bringing in Pereira gives me a triple-up on RBK, which I’m hoping will pay off during the run-in.
  • Finally, I’m selling Aalesund’s Matheus Christiansen to bring in Felix Vá. Aalesund face a difficult end to the season, while Lillestrøm have a much more appealing schedule. That starts with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Start. Vá also arrives in excellent form after scoring twice against Brann last time out.
  • Captaincy goes to Peter Christiansen, who has scored five goals in his previous four matches. Viking’s clash with Bodø/Glimt on Friday night could have a huge say in the title race. I’m hoping Christiansen can deliver another big return in what could be a season-defining fixture.

@FPL_Jack15

  • My transfer plans depend heavily on the Bodø/Glimt line-up and the latest injury news. Assuming everyone is fit and Andreas Helmersen starts, I’ll bring him back into my team. Viking haven’t looked particularly convincing defensively, so the fixture isn’t necessarily a bad one for attackers. I also want Helmersen for the longer term.
  • My options for a second transfer are quite limited due to my budget. I like the look of Felix Vá and Sondre Sørli, but I can’t afford either without selling Larsen. With Larsen having a good fixture this week, I’d rather keep him and roll my second transfer. That would also give me more flexibility heading into next week.
  • Amin Chiakha gets the captain’s armband if he’s fit. He’s the man in form, so I’m hoping he’ll be ready to start! If he misses out, Emil Breivik will take the captaincy instead.
