- Goalkeepers: Loris Karius and Nahuel Noll. With Robin Zentner returning from injury and already featuring in the DFB-Pokal, it’s time to sell Alexander Schwolow. Fortunately, Mainz’s line-up comes out before this week’s deadline, so I’ll know exactly who starts in goal. I could simply bring in Zentner if he starts, but with some extra budget available, I’m also considering Nahuel Noll.
- Defenders: Willi Orbán*, Mitchell Weiser, Jahmai Simpson-Pusey and Tjark Scheller. Unfortunately, Calvin Brackelmann suffered a head injury and came off after just 12 minutes last weekend. What could have been a solid score turned into just 20 points. That also meant Lukas Pinckert’s disappointing 21 points counted towards my total. With Brackelmann out and Pinckert also dealing with an issue, I need two new defenders. I’m considering Elias Baum, but I might finally give in and buy the reliable, albeit boring, Tjark Scheller. He seems to consistently score around 130 points, which is difficult to ignore. Mitchell Weiser offers a much more exciting alternative after finally returning to Werder Bremen’s starting XI. Interestingly, he looks set to play an advanced role just behind the striker. That would make him an out-of-position (OOP) option with plenty of attacking potential.
- Midfielders: Michael Olise*, Fabian Rieder, Saïd El Mala, Lukas Petkov and Mattes Hansen.
- Like Brackelmann, Bilal Nadir suffered an injury last Matchday and faces an uncertain spell on the sidelines. I’m considering Mattes Hansen as his replacement. He’s reliable rather than exciting, but his role could work particularly well for Fantasy. Hansen plays as one of Paderborn’s three centre-backs despite his midfield classification. That makes him a reverse OOP player, which might initially seem undesirable. However, the position actually works wonders for his duel numbers. With a little more budget, I’d consider the slightly more exciting Wael Mohya instead.
- Forwards: Philipp Tietz*, Marco Grüll, Marius Bülter and Younes Ebnoutalib. As was the case last week, I’m planning just one change in attack. Ermedin Demirović deserves thanks for his brace and excellent 298-point return. However, uncertainty surrounding his expected minutes means it’s time to move him on. Niclas Füllkrug would be my ideal replacement given his excellent form, but I can’t quite afford him. Instead, I’m looking towards Marius Bülter, who supplied two assists against Union Berlin in the DFB-Pokal. He faces his former club again this weekend, having helped his side beat them 5-0 on Tuesday.
@Carrynor8o

- After two mediocre weeks in a row, I’ve decided to use my transfers aggressively this week. I’ve brought in two RB Leipzig players, Willi Orbán and Antonio Nusa, to target their attractive fixture against Schalke. Their opponents have looked particularly vulnerable since the international break.
- Stefano Marino also comes into my squad as a cheap enabler, freeing up the funds needed for those two moves.
- My midfield Star Player remains Michael Olise, as usual. However, I’ve switched my defensive and forward Star Players to the new Leipzig additions. That means moving away from my Borussia Dortmund players, who face a difficult trip to Bayern Munich this weekend.
@KarbownikFF

- I’m currently ranked 568th overall, so I’m not too worried about my position. However, I do need to start making up some ground. Hopefully, this will be the week to do it, especially with Bayern Munich facing Borussia Dortmund.
- My first planned transfer is Alexander Schwolow to Oliver Baumann. Schwolow looks likely to lose his starting place, while Hoffenheim have some appealing fixtures ahead. I’m also expecting their defence to improve over the coming weeks.
- In defence, I’m planning to replace Maximilian Mittelstädt and Calvin Brackelmann with Leopold Querfeld and Robin Koch. These moves should help me target this week’s fixtures, while Koch also looks like a good longer-term option.
- I’m also making two changes in midfield, with Andrija Maksimović and Youri Regeer making way for Ezechiel Banzuzi and Wael Mohya.
- I’ll likely stick with a 3-4-3 formation unless we get some unexpected team news. My Star Players will be Querfeld in defence, Michael Olise in midfield and Antonio Nusa in attack.

- The aim is to keep pushing for green arrows and slowly climb the rankings. Hopefully, I can build some momentum and finish the season strongly!
- I’ve decided to keep Alphonso Davies, who could return to the starting XI for Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund. However, my defensive Star Player will be Anthony Caci, who is in fantastic form ahead of the clash with Elversberg.
- I’ve also gone for the original Bundesliga Fantasy GOAT, Moussa Diaby! Stuttgart have looked leaky defensively, so I’m hoping he can take full advantage of that fixture.
- Freiburg’s in-form attackers also appeal this week, so I’ve brought in Yuito Suzuki and Igor Matanović. Both look like exciting options heading into the next Matchday.
- Finally, I’ve made a change in goal, bringing in Mainz goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow.
- Good luck, everyone!
