Welcome to this week’s Scout Picks Community Champion vote. Here’s a reminder of how this works. As part of our revamped Scout Picks, Mark, myself, Paul and a community champion picked by you each week are up against each other. All four teams are then used to decide our final weekly Scout Picks.

We are now looking for Gameweek 31’s Scout Picks Community Champion to represent you and get one over on The Scouts as well as be in with a chance of winning a special prize. The champion who manages the best Gameweek score (or best score from the first ten matches in a double Gameweek) will win a £100 Amazon voucher.

To put yourself forward simply add in your Gameweek 31 Scout Picks.

For everyone else please upvote the poster you would like to represent you based on their picks.

We only need 11 picks and please be mindful of budget, which has now been increased to 84m. There’s no captain in the picks either and please stick to a designated FPL formation, including no more than three players from one team.

I’ll leave this vote open until 9am tomorrow (Tuesday) when I will announce the winner, who will be asked to submit their final XI plus 200 word explanation to me by 5pm Thursday.

Any attempts to disrupt the voting process may lead to the team involved being removed at our discretion. Also the comment section below is for those who want to present their teams and vote. If you have any suggestions on how the Scout Picks can be improved further next year please email me at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk rather than leave a comment below.

DGW players count both scores or just the first game?

So the promise about mentioning the fact that I'm the new community leader on 75pts was all a lie then...

      Sakho/Ideye or Berahino perhaps?

PS I would change this if only the first game per player counts. Austin is there because of the DGW.

DGW has no effect. See above and the article above.

            Yes there is.

"best score from the first ten matches in a double Gameweek'

So the way I understand it, Austin's fantasy points vs Villa won't count for example.

The double doesn't count for the Amazon voucher, but does it count in the scores against the contributors for the gameweek?

It doesn't no so the scouts are at a disadvantage. I think that's why they're considering a change - http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/03/30/the-scout-picks-community-champion-vote-gameweek-31/?hc_page=1#hc_comment_10004922

Double game week doesn't count for the purposes of this because of the prize.

They're considering changes next season so that the points for a double count but the prize is only for the first 10 fixtures.

            I know. I was there.

Berahino at home to QPR or Austin away to WBA - who has the best chance of scoring 2 goals? That's the question.

WBA have a much better defence than QPR and WBA are at home. Berahino is therefore the better pick in my opinion.

    de Gea,
    Ivanovic, Lescott, Naughton,
    Mata, Hazard, Sigurdsson, Mane,
    Giroud, Rooney, Kane.

    * 3 United players - de Gea, Rooney, Mata - This is a plum fixture, indeed.
    * Ivanovic picks himself, so does Hazard, Kane and Giroud - all three up against leaky defences (Liverpool missing Skrtel).
    * Lescott and Naughton up against Hull/QPR- both moderately solid defences up against two teams with terrible away record.
    * Sigurdsson and Mane arew my differentials in midfield. Everton/Hull both leaky defences, and both play at No 10 for their clubs.

    Upvote if you like. 😉

    Myhill
    Schlupp Naughton Ivanovic
    Hazard Silva Cazorla Mata
    Rooney Kane Giroud

    83.7 M

DEF - Myhill is my gk of choice due to WBA resilience at home and good save points potential.
Schlupp is a possible OOP prospect with promise of returns at both ends of the pitch, playing a toothless Wham.
Naughton & Ivanovic both offer solid CS points and attacking threat.

MID - Hazard & Silva pick themselves on form, supplemented with 2 great fixtures this GW.
Cazorla has gone back to playing behind the striker with ramsey back, sanchez is struggling and
Santi is on pens. I feel a good point haul for him this week.
Mata played himself into our thoughts with his performance at Anfield. Received massive praise from the manager and looks primed to carry on and pile on the misery for Villa this week.

FWD - Kane picks himself really with his form and fixture playing a bottom 3 Burnley side.
Giroud is the most in form striker in the league atm and with Skrtel missing from the Liverpool backline, he could be set to benefit again.
Rooney in form for both club & country, back upfront, plum fixture at home and also on pens and some set-pieces. No brainer.

Vote for my team if you like it. Cheers! 🙂

    Myhill
    Smalling Naughton Ivanovic
    Hazard Silva Siggurdsson Fellaini
    Rooney Kane Giroud

    80.4m

DEF - Myhill is the pick in a water tight WBA defence at home to no-hopers QPR. Ivanovic picks himself these days being more threatening than most right wingers and Chelsea at home. United look solid at the moment, especially at home they dominate. Villa will struggle, Smalling the surest route into that defence. Swansea picking up plenty of cleanies, should be another at home to Hull. Naughton is the man in vogue atm.

MID - Player of the Year elect Hazard is the league's best , no-brainer at home to Stoke. Silva is the only City player worth his salt and Palace concede goals despite their improved attacking prowess. Fellaini is on high atm, 2 goals for Belgium and he's created more chances and had more shots than Mata in the last 4 weeks. Siggy's underlying stats hint at a return to his early season exploits, who better to convert than vs Hull at home.

ATT- Rooney is streaky,he's on a streak. Back him. Kane is the main man at the moment, undroppable while Giroud isn't far behind. This front line is frightening.

Please vote, I have a go every week and haven't had a chance yet. This team will do the community proud.

Let's have a go at this then. Within budget and only first 10 games considered.

    Myhill
    Terry Naughton Smalling
    Hazard Erikson Sterling Silva
    Kun Kane Giroud

The team was carefully picked using the ancient technique of waving a finger in the air and assessing players on a 8th sense of them being "due" a haul.

    DE GEA (AVL) - 5.9
MU strong home defensive record, potential save points

    TERRY(STO) - 6.8
Solid Chelsea's backline at home, also Stoke never scored any goal against chelsea in their last 3 meetings.

    JENKINSON (lei) - 5.0
Beside his potential attacking threat against the opponent's poor defensive record, leicester only scored 1 goal in their last 4 home games.

    NAUGHTON (HUL) - 4.3
Against Hull's weak away goal record, scored 1 in last 5 away games

    HAZARD (STO) - 11.1
    Picks himself

    SILVA (cry) - 9.9
Pardew's Palace is an attacking team, a vulnerable target for City's attacking men. His 4 goals & 2 assists is hard to resist.

    MATA (AVL) - 8.3
MU will score 2 or 3 goals against ragged Villa's backline & Mata will surely involve here since his confidence level is very high now.

    PHILLIPS (wba-avl) - 4.6
Cover DGW and he's been the one which involved in 71% of QPR's goals in the last 6 gameweeks.

    COSTA (STO) - 11
His national absence is Mourinho's scenario, I don't think he's that injured. I'll take this as a punt. And of course picking Costa at home will potentially reward us big points if he's fit. It's a bet.

    ROONEY (AVL) - 10.6
Putting him upfront as central striker is the best attacking LvG's formula so far. It's only 8 games left, so I don't think LvG will risk their position to experiment with different tactics.

    KANE (bur) - 6.4
    Picks himself

    TOTAL= 83.9

    REASON FOR AVOIDING POPULAR PLAYERS
    - Giroud : against Liverpool resilient defenders
    - Aguero : unconvinced with his form
    - Austin : can't fit him in the team. His form hasn't been that good.
