We’re just hours away from the second legs of this season’s Champions League quarter-finals. As always, we assess the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Player Price List and assess some of the form players on offer ahead of Matchday 10’s deadline.

A free Fantasy football app, FiT is available on a number of mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android. Fantasy managers have until 10 minutes before the first kick-off in any given Matchday to make any final alterations to their starting XIs – this evening, then, that deadline is 7.35pm, as Barcelona welcome PSG to the Nou Camp and Bayern play host to Porto.

We’re supporting FiT throughout the competition and have an official Fantasy Football Scout League, with an iPad mini available to the winner. There’s also a VIP European Match Day Experience for two on offer for the overall winner of the Fantasy iTeam Champions League game.

Tuesday April 21

We keep faith in Luis Suarez as Barcelona entertain PSG with a 3-1 first-leg advantage. The Uruguayan (10.0m) is in irresistible form right now – having bagged a brace in Paris a week ago, he notched in Saturday’s win over Valencia and has 12 goals in as many matches in all competitions for the Spanish outfit. Good news for the La Liga leaders, then, as David Luiz and co. roll up this evening.

After missing the first leg through suspension, Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns to face his former club. Laurent Blanc’s side face a tough task to overturn the 3-1 reversal and will need to go on the offensive – if the 9.8m-priced Swede can replicate the form that’s harvested 17 goals in 22 league appearances this season, his side may yet spring a surprise.

Bayern also attempt to claw back a 3-1 deficit after being shocked by Porto in their away leg last week. Pep Guardiola has acknowledged his injury-hit side will need to take some risks if they are to prevail and we’re backing Thomas Muller (9.3m) to prove the man for the big occasion. The German international has been in fine domestic form, racking up 13 goals and ten assists in the league, and has struck five times in seven Champions League outings already.

After backing two-goal Ricardo Quaresma last week, we turn to his fellow wide man Yacine Brahimi. The Algerian has produced five goals and a trio of assists over eight appearances in this year’s competition – available for 7.3m, he tormented Bayern with seven successful dribbles in Portugal and his pace on the break will be crucial as the visitors look to hit their hosts on the counter.

Wednesday April 22

Monaco attempt to overturn a 1-0 first-leg loss against visitors Juventus tomorrow evening. The French side have served up 16 clean sheets in 25 home matches across all competitions so far and will fancy their chances of keeping the Italian outfit at bay. Highly-rated left-back Layvin Kurzawa (4.6m) has four assists to his name in Ligue 1 this term and looks the likeliest backline option to offer points at both ends of the pitch.

Arturo Vidal’s penalty made the difference for the “Old Lady” last week and the Chilean followed that up with an assist in Saturday’s win over Lazio. Whilst Carlos Tevez is the obvious option, the 6.4m-priced Vidal’s spot-kick duties make him an excellent alternative in the centre of the park as the Serie A leaders look to clinch a place in the last four.

With the injuries building for Real Madrid, Isco’s contribution looks crucial as neighbours Atletico roll up to the Bernabeu. Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema are all out as the holders attempt to get the better of Diego Simeone’s side after a goalless draw last week. Available for 6.4m, Isco could be a real under the radar option for tomorrow’s derby encounter.

Simeone, meanwhile, will look to park the bus and catch Carlo Ancelotti’s side on the counter. With that in mind, we turn to the visitors’ chief creator Koke as Atletico attempt to avenge last season’s defeat in the final. The 7.8m-priced playmaker has two goals and four assists already in this term’s tournament and will be confident of unlocking a backline with just three clean sheets in their previous ten home matches across all competitions.

FANTASY FOOTBALL SCOUT LEAGUE

We’ve already set up an official Fantasy Football Scout league for you to join, with an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

    Courtois (Hamer)

    Terry - Skrtel - Moreno - Schlupp (Bellerín)

    Hazard - Sanchez - Sterling - ?- ?

    Kun - ? - (Kane)

    Either going to punt on Hernandez or Vardy as my second striker.

    Don't know with those two midfielders - Would have 10.3 to fill them with Hernandez or 12.3 with Ulloa....

    Schmeichel (Davis)
    Terry Ivan Moreno (PVA Vlaar)
    Silva Haz Hendo Sterling King

      Selling Kane? I plan to keep Kane over Giroud and bring Giroud in for Vardy. Not sure about King either. The defence looks decent enough, although I prefer Skrtel over Moreno. Also not sure about Vlaar and would get Duff as an enabler

        In an ideal world I would have Skrtel over Moreno and keep Kane over Vardy but TV isn't great. Need to work out exactly which transfers I'll make in GW35-37 and then I may be able to afford Skrtel, certainly not Kane over Vardy though 🙁

    Anyone seriously considering a double up on either Liverpool or Chelsea on their WC?

    Not so convinced with Sterling and Henderson and really think Mig and Skrtel could outscore them.

    Also not sure about Chelsea's goalscoring credentials and they will probably keep it tight given the attacking absences.

    Of the two, I prefer the idea of a 'Pool double defensive double up due to the fixtures, especially since I will probably want to sell Liverpool attackers for an Arsenal player come GW36 when Liverpool play Chelsea away.

          Interesting - I would consider doubling Chelsea rather than Liverpool. Other than Hazard I don't think there are any other clear cut attacking options (not convinced by Fab), whereas Liverpool I think Henderson's value makes him a no-brainer and I fancy Sterling.

          Ivanovic and Courtois?

          if I could afford double Pool and Chelsea defence and keeping Silva I might do it

          But it's a lot tied up in the defence and needs a big switchover in distribution of funds in order to get 2 Arsenal mids in.

          Having Sterling in their makes a switch to Ozil/Ramsey a piece of cake

      Double CHE defense.
      Just look at the trend.
      Last 2 games 1-0 victories… and Both, Terry and Ivan could score from a set-piece.

      Going Sterling-Hendo, which gives me space do put Ramsey on the bench.
      Bringing Benteke also and save money to do Vardy -> Giroud!

      The option its going Sanchez instead of Ramsey..and playing 3-5-2

    Lescott's fixtures get poor and it frees up 0.5.

        Why them over Schlupp? I'm not convinced about a Leicester CS so I think Schlupp has the highest attacking potential.

          From what others have said, it seems Morgan and Huth are looking far more attacking statistically, and I believe it's been that way for a while! I knew this and still went schlupp over Morgan last week, and look what happened!

    Is it just me, or are this years' UCL tips pretty pedestrian?

    Muller, Ibra, Suarez? No nice little inside tips or hints at players that fly under the radar as was the trend in years past.

    Thiago for me this week in the Bayern set-up and James over Isco with Bale out.

      I agree completely. Was waiting for that Thiago tip. And Vidal might not even get 90min. Weak FFS.

    Lads, some opinions please, I have a 26 point lead and am up against someone on a WC.

    I'm considering an 8 point hit to change Silva, Aldierwield and Puncheon to Sterling/Coutinho, Henderson and Skrtel.

    Would you take your lead down to 18 so you stand half a chance with 7 doublers?

      Don't sell Silva for a hit!!! I would consider Skrtel for Alde for sure and maybe Puncheon to Henderson for a hit

        I know, it sounds madness but I'm up against someone who could potentially have 9 doublers against 6, that lead I have can be wiped out by the extra doublers.

          dont be too blindsided by one GW (even if its a double GW) - think about your next moves, surely to offload three LEI or HUL players will be hard for your rival without a WC

            Yeah this is true, there is a chance they he could mess up his team with his WC because his old one had made up 44 points on me in the last 6 weeks so it wasn't broke but I'm thinking if I don't take the sting out of his wc and at least match him with 3 Chelsea and 3 Liverpool then I could be in trouble.

            Could ignore Henderson and do Skrtel and Moreno for a -4, that might be better and means I can stay in my plan to bring Giroud, Sanchez and Ozil in but 2 Liverpool defenders scares me.

          Marvellous, long before my time but growing up, playing football in the garden, my Dad used to scream "RIVELINOOOOO" as he belted the ball as hard as he could (usually over the fence). Used to terrify me as a six year old trembling in goal - he didn't believe in going easy on me.

          What a wonderful player though judging by clips/stories of that 1970 team. Watching clips of Garrincha is a favourite of mine, I know that a lot of Brazilians rate him higher than Pele.

                      but if I get McShane I can't abide benching him for a DGW and he may not be nailed with all of Chester, Davies, Dawson and Bruce available

                        If planning for gw 36 only, it's doesn't matter if McShane has a dgw this week. He has started the last 9, Duff the last 5. Not an expert on these players/teams, but would call both nailed on.

        Already did Foster & Eriksen -> Mignolet & Henderson with my freebies. Currently fielding:

        MIGNOLET
        IVANOVIC - Bertrand - SCHLUPP
        Sanchez - HAZARD (C) - Silva - HENDERSON
        Agüero - REMY - Kane
        ---
        Myhill - Clyne, Boyd, Dawson

        Feel like I need more DGW firepower given that Remy might actually get me 0 points again, but I'm also tempted by doubling on LIV defence and keeping Sanchez, Silva, Aggy and Kane.

        Do I do Clyne -> Moreno OR Silva -> Sterling for -4? Ignoring both moves is not an option as I need the funds to do Remy -> Giroud GW35.

        Cheers guys.

          I'd wait for the presser before dumping Silva.

        I have Bertrand and Clyne. And am looking to drop one for Skrtel. Any thoughts on which one?

        Ivanovic worth the extra cash over Terry?

          I have Ivanovic, but not sure he's worth it anymore.

          Not getting forward anything as much as he was in the first third of the season. Would be interested to see his heat map comparison through the course of the season.....

          Not at the moment. Tho if Chelsea win shore up the title in next couple I could see Terry getting a rest more than Ivan.

        That unexpected price drop from Eriksen has screwed me over so I cant do my planned transfers of Eriksen + Rose ---> Sterling + Moreno by a meer £0.1m, so what to do?

        A: Eriksen + Clyne ---> Sterling + Skrtel/Moreno (-8 hit)
        B: Eriksen + Rose ---> Coutinho + Skrtel/Moreno (-8 hit)
        C: Eriksen + Foster ---> Coutinho + Mignolet (-8 hit)
        D: Eriksen ---> Sterling (-4 hit)
        E: Eriksen + Rose ---> Sterling + Lovren (-8 hit)

        Panty, Foster
        Clyne, Terry, PVA, Naughton, Rose
        Hazard, Hendo, Fabregas, Boyd, Eriksen
        Aguero, Rooney, Kane

        Worth the -8 hit to bring on Mignolet, Henderson, Terry for Davis, Downing, Dawson? It would give me 7 DGW players, including Hazard, Sterling, Schlupp and Vardy.
