After a reasonably low-scoring Saturday (for me at least), we have three remaining Sunday afternoon fixtures to increase our tallies. And with the four most selected captains in action today, according to our poll, we have every chance.

The first of two televised games sees Roberto’s Mancini’s Manchester City play host to Newcastle United. The headline team news for the 1:30pm game is that Newcastle leave striker, and fantasy favourite, Andy Carroll on the bench for the first time this season. For Man City, Jerome Boateng starts his first league game and Adam Johnson is once again on the bench, despite scoring mid-week…

Man City: Hart, Boateng, Toure, Kompany, Lescott, De Jong, Barry, Silva, Toure Yaya, Milner, Tevez

Newcastle: Krul, Perch, Williamson, Coloccini, Jose Enrique, Ben Arfa, Nolan, Tiote, Barton, Gutierrez, Ameobi

Then, on the other channel, Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea at 4pm, where both clubs are looking to bounce back from defeats last week. Elsewhere, and not on the box, 18th-placed Liverpool take on 16th-placed Blackpool at 3pm.

      Well I thought Newcastle were unlucky there - a good performance overall. Great goal by Johnson to win it, but there was some shocking decisions by the ref; allowing De Mong to go unpunished for a bad reckless tackle, awarding Tevez a penalty when it was clear Williamson took the ball first and not awarding a stonewall penalty for a clear foul on Ameobi.
      For City I thought Kompany was impressive again, for Newcastle I thought Gutierrez was good and Tiote outstanding. If I was awarding the BP it would be
      Gutierrez 1, Tiote 2, Kompany 3.

          Agreed. And did you see the way he hovered over De Jong at the end w/ such menace. Looks a solid midfielder in combination with Barton - they will be very difficult to break down. Newcastle can take a lot of positives from this and though i Benched Barton this week I'm happy with his performance and role as my 5th midfielder.

        I'm smiling with Tevez (C). The goal is already in the bag and I think 1 BP or 2 BPs is fair.

        I also have Drogba so won't be complaining if he scores, but got what I hoped / expected from Carlos - 10 + with the armband...

        The goal from Adam Johnson was just a cherry on top as he bids farewell from my team on a high...

      Newcastle should feel hard done by there, with City getting that penalty and themselves not getting one at the end.

                I have the same two players and considered both switches as part of wc, but decided now's not the time for either (even if it costs 0.1m). Tevez is frustrating me though.
