By his own admission, Cesc Fabregas had the “worst first half” against West Ham on Saturday. Certainly, when a home win for Arsenal passes by without Fantasy Premier League Bonus Points for the skipper, you know that something is wrong.

A paltry 3 point Gameweek return for Fabregas left those who had played wildcards or spent points on recruiting him, feeling rather hollow; particularly given that the he was awarded the FPL captaincy by the majority of his owners. Those who resisted the Fabregas pull meanwhile, can feel somewhat smug by his return given that he later revealed that his hamstring remains a concern.

So just how badly did Fabregas perform in relation to his peers and his own high standards?

Very soon our Members will be able to analyse weekly Opta data so that player performance can be measured on a Gameweek basis; we’re testing that functionality right now. That form of analysis immediately comes into play when examining the potential of Fabregas in the light of the West Ham showing…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

ramires and zhirkov definitely start tonight whilst bosingwa is apparently ruled out with injury. ancelotti said 1 of mikel and essien is rested.
    likely XI therefore:
cech, ivanovic, alex, terry, cole, mikel, zhirkov, ramires, kalou, anelka, drogba

god damn Nani, spoiling my weekends big point prospects!

So my team now is looking like -

    Foster
    Dann, Elmo, Coleman (Alex, Tamas)
    Fabs (c), Malouda, Brunt, Bale
    Drogba, Carroll, Berbatov

0.3 in bank and no free transfers. Still looking healthy for the weekend or not?

Just messing around with my team out of boredom, took Drogba out, my team looks sooo much more balanced. Its gone from:

Hart, Carson, Faye, El-Becks, Simpson, Dann Jara, Malouda, Cesc, Nani, Ferguson, N'Zog, Drogba, Chamakh, Carroll + 2.4

    to:
Fabianski, Carson, A.Cole, Boeteng, El-Becks, Coleman, Dann, Malouda, Cesc, Nani, VDV, N'Zog, Chamakh, Hernandez, Carroll.

you dont get hairy balls like mine without playing under 16 cup matches in the hail and snow. Or GAA matches on the side of a mountain with no shin guards and a howling gale, and pissing heat sponging spray rain and a big giant red mark on your legs everytime you get a sliotar or a gaa ball across you. Made me what i am today- a belligerent , bitter, pitch bully 🙂

Why get rid? One of, if not the in form player of the PL this season. I am keeping him, Mind you I have other pressing issues (VDV, Malouda, Fabs) Although I think Fabs will be alright.

why 257? that's very specific. does the guilt step in at 256? then it's like mastermind on 257, "i've started so i will finish"

Makes no sense to me either - surely they should be protected whilst they ARE injured

Then just to rub it in they protect them when they are fit again to stop you making the money back that you have lost by hanging on to them ??!!

You people are bunch of bitches... Nani's the only one confirmed out this weekend and maybe VDV. Though this Bolton game is very important for Spurs if they want to keep up with City, so VDV will probably get a start. That's possibly two players... OH NO!

I doubt many have Tevez and no one would play Jara this week anyway. Fabregas will surely start at the weekend, albeit he might break down half way. Elmohamady starting on the bench in the game where Bruce finally decides to play both Gyan and Bent? Wtf have you people been smoking?? Malouda only has a knock, no tear or anything and it's a big game for Chelsea... so he'll surely start as well. Now the only guy we have left is Bosingwa and well... you knew the risks when you signed him.

          Rant over.

Ok.. well then my Viking borther this message wasn't meant for most of you, but the people whining about their whole team being a doubt when it actually isn't.

Well I went on the cruise to Denmark once, but nah I (Attila) am a Hun, the hat may be misleading*

                      * Incidentally the Vikings NEVER wore horned helmets - myth brought about by early Christian propaganda - the horns were to give them a more 'devil' like appearance.

I figure I won't have Malouda or VDV. Trying to work out whether Mummy will start or not is in my too-hard basket.

I'd be worried if I had those two AND Tevez and Nani, mind. That would suck.

We're on the same overall score, my young friend. Long may your injury woes continue. 🙂

P.S. Heskey??? Isn't that against the law or something?

Not arguing with the stats, but he's simply a player I could never have in my team.

Same goes with Nolan - that's working well.

fabs will start, but will surely take a knock as always and be out. i really hope lampard doesn't come back to rake in the pts. like last year as he's a player along w/dempsey i refuse to have on my team on sheer principle unrelated to fantasy.

Drogba – some reports say doubtfull - hes not doubtful, you've made that up

Tevez – injured he was injured last week and you could have took him out then

              Odemwhingie – doubtfull see above

Van der Vaart – dodgy hamstring first legimate injury, might be ok

Adam – only playing with injections will be fine for the weekend

Fabregas – dodgy hamstring again should be fine

Nani – injured yea hes injured, but everyones got him

Elmo – possible doubt/rest Welbeck will get dropped, hes gona be a backup for Gyan/Bent

Alex – possible doubt/rest made up

Williamson – reports say Campbell back this weekend was always going to be a risk when taylor/campbell came back

Coleman – doubtful after being hauled off last game for being rubbish !!risky signing anyway

With the exception of Nani and VDV you only have yourself to blame!
