Danny Welbeck is ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to United. Winston Reid returns for West Ham, John O’Shea could be back for Sunderland’s double Gameweek, whilst David Nugent remains sidelined for Leicester.
Arsene Wenger has conceded that Danny Welbeck remains unavailable for Arsenal’s trip to United on Sunday. Earlier this morning, the Gunners boss went on to say “I think Aaron Ramsey will be alright”, after a knock prevented the Welshman from training over the last few days. Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain sidelined, whilst Mathieu Debuchy returned to training yesterday after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Danny Rose is fully fit for Tottenham after being named amongst the subs with a groin problem last week. Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt due to illness, whilst Kyle Walker and Ben Davies remain sidelined through injury.
Nathan Baker is back in training for Villa, though this weekend’s trip to Southampton comes too soon for the defender. Libor Kozak has been ruled out with a back problem, whilst Tim Sherwood has revealed that Gary Gardner and Callum Robertson have been training with the first-team this week.
Leicester’s Matty James is sidelined with a knee injury and is set for surgery which could keep him sidelined for months. David Nugent misses out again due to a calf complaint, though Andy King has recovered from injury and is available for the trip to Sunderland.
Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez miss out again for Southampton, though Ronald Koeman has revealed the pair could feature in next weekend’s trip to City. James Ward-Prowse returns from a one-match suspension, whilst Dusan Tadic remains sidelined through injury.
QPR midfielder Sandro is still unavailable for selection due to work permit issues. Bobby Zamora is a doubt, though Nedum Onouha returns from a one-match suspension for the visit of Newcastle. Steven Caulker will require pain-killing injection on a broken hand in order to retain his start in central defence.
Leighton Baines is sidelined for the final two Gameweeks after undergoing minor ankle surgery. Roberto Martinez has confirmed that, aside from the left-back, Everton’s squad will be unchanged from the one that faced Sunderland last weekend.
Winston Reid is set to return to the West Ham squad for the visit of Everton. Fellow defender James Tomkins remains hopeful of returning in time for the Gameweek 38 trip to Newcastle.
Siem de Jong and Adam Armstrong are still unavailable for Newcastle’s trip to QPR. Gabriel Obertan is back in the squad, whilst Papiss Cisse is “in a good place” after a full week’s training, according to John Carver.
John O’Shea hopes to recover from a rib injury in time for Sunderland’s home encounter with Leicester.
