With the Premier League fixture list now revealed, our attentions are now fully focused on planning ahead of the new campaign in August.

In the past week we’ve provided you with insight on the teams faced with the easiest and most daunting passage over the opening four-to-six Gameweeks and, crucially, our season ticker fixture analysis tool was made live and available for you to reach your own conclusions.

The Season Ticker has been part of this site for many seasons, with the members’ version steadily evolving with new features. Some of you may well be unaware of the full functionality available in the tool, so we wanted to remind of the “How To†guide we built last season, guiding you through the use of the members ticker.

The eight movies below break up some of the features available, from the simple step of accessing the Ticker, right through to creating and sharing your own team ratings.

Part One – Accessing the Season Ticker Tool

Our season ticker tool is free to everyone on the site, offering a view of the next six fixtures for each team and allowing you to sort by Gameweek to view those teams with the most difficult and “easier” fixtures.

Our first movie shows you how to access the free version of the ticker and explains how we display fixture difficulty.

Part Two – The Members Ticker – Sorting by Difficulty

The version of the ticker available to members offers far more power to assess the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures for each team by allowing you to sort by a collection of Gameweeks.

View up to nine Gameweeks at once and sort the teams to assess those squads worthy of investment. Rollover a fixture to view previous meetings to add further insight.

Our second movie shows you more…

Part Three – The Members Ticker – Navigating Gameweeks

Not only can you add and remove Gameweeks from the members ticker view, you can also navigate back and forth throughout the season so you can plan your mid-term strategies.

Planning on playing your Wildcard early? Scroll the ticker to Gameweek 4 and check out who has the best run of fixtures from that point on.

This movie shows you how…

Part Four – The Members Ticker – Applying Filters

The members ticker not only gives you a view of the overall fixture difficulty ahead of each team, we’ve also supplied filters that show the chances of goals and clean sheets for each team based on their opponents to come.

Shopping for a defender? Use the “clean sheet filter” to view those teams most likely to keep shut-outs over their next run of matches. Looking for a Sergio Aguero alternative? View the “attacking filter” and the ticker will display those teams set up to score the most goals in the coming Gameweeks.

View this movie for the lowdown…

Part Five – The Members Ticker – Creating Filters

You may well think that our view of fixture difficulties are off-beam. Then why not tinker and create your own?

The members Ticker offers you the opportunity to edit our ratings to produce your own view of each team, enabling you to create brand new filters and overlays.

Check out this movie for a guide on how this is done…

Part Six – The Members Ticker – Sharing Filters

If you’ve created some filters that you think offer a helpful new view of the Season Ticker, or even if you want to an opinion on a filter you’ve created, you can share them with the community.

The Tickers import/export facility makes it easy – just expand the export ratings view and cut and paste the values into an email and the recipient can use the import panel to add your ratings to their ticker and get your filter.

We show you how this works in this movie…

Part Seven – The Members Ticker – Assessing Rotations

Finding pairings of goalkeepers and defenders who rotate home and away, or even rotate favourable fixtures, can be an important factor when selecting your initial squad lineup. The members ticker offers you a handy tool to facilitate such plans.

Members can drag and drop any row on the ticker to organise teams the way they want. Sort by difficulty on clean sheets, then drag and drop rows and you can piece together those teams that offer ideal keeper or defender pairings.

View this movie to see this feature in action…

Part Eight – The Members Ticker – The Expanded View

Did you know that you can use all of the members Ticker’s features in an expanded view? In one click you can expand the view to show up to 30 Gameweeks, giving you the ability to plan your long-term strategy with Wildcards and potential transfer targets.

This video shows you how…

Good business on LEI's part. He'll be too expensive for me but makes rest of DEF more appealing.

Are West Ham close to buying any defender? I guess they need one, otherwise their team looks pretty decent to me. (if the likely transfers happen)

Do they have Jenkinson again? I heard he was potentially off to Sunderland? Lots of competition for Song 😉

      Enner Valencia on that wing?

I always assumed Enner to be a striker, does he play on the wing as well?

Most sources say that West Ham is where Jenkinson wants to go, they're keen to get him, so Arsenal would not want to stand against his decision. I'd say it is very likely.

I'm pretty sure he's played wide before but never followed closely? Someone could put me right on that.

Cool about Jenkinson. He'd be a solid signing indeed.

If Austin arrives, there will be Austin, Carroll, Sakho and Valencia for a maximum of 2 spots, will be interesting who nails down the spot.

In a diamond 4-4-2 for sure, but if they go back to double pivot and Song is around, Song + Kouyate would be logical.

Liverpool Echo- Rodgers wants four frontline strikers and needs an experienced proven goalscorer to complement Sturridge, Origi, and Ings. LFC will try to offload Mario, Lambert and Borini in the coming weeks. None of the trio have a future at the club

Good luck with the offload. I feel sorry for Rickie. Rodgers knew Rickie would never turn down his boyhood club but Rodgers has pretty much killed any remnants of a topflight career.

it's all relative. Maybe 10th-13th. I think your team will not be as strong as last for obvious reasons, and the teams that finished below you like west ham, stoke and swansea will be stronger.

Haha. 10th-13th for a team that I've watched play in League One and, before that, flirt with PL relegation season after season. To us, that isn't a struggle.

That's why i said its relative. Relatively struggling compared to last season. Your hopes and aims for the club may have changed after last season, placing certain expectations on them next season, but apparently not. Maybe 10-13th next season, maybe lower the season after

Lambert could still do a job somewhere in the PL I reckon

Norwich could do with someone like him

Nope. If you gave him penalties and free kicks he might but that'd be taking away from one of the mids. He hasn't shown anything in the PL for 18 months in open play and has become slower over that time as well

Also we haven't shown any interest in immobile strikers (although we wouldn't say no to Immobile). Jerome is very fast and Grabban/Hooper are quick enough

Berardi is the most legit option, I'd say. Italy would be going all out.
A lot of people prefer Silva, very involved in the play in the last two games, unlucky with his returns.

So, about those Payet news, his agent says that the deal is NOT done, not between the clubs, nor between the player and West Ham. he confirms that the negotiations exist and are very advanced and situation should be settled soon one way OR the other - the other being that Payet signs a new better contract with Marseille.

That's fair enough, I was just thinking along the lines of the amount of work needed to be done on the squad, a proper challenge will be a year too soon in my opinion, I think only Arsenal can really push Chelsea next year, everyone else is a bit behind.

There were loads of pundits (e.g. on MOTD) who had Soton down as relegation candidates. I wasn't quite that bad but was extremely impressed with them last season. I do think they will find it much harder this time round if Schneiderlin, Clyne and Toby leave though.

Fair point-the bar's been set much higher this time round which is a bit crazy. Mind you if Mane carries on from last season I'll be more than happy-nothing like great pace to show up the CB statues and full backs that are wannabe wingers these days.

Who will most likely be in your team?

    The Brazilian tempt me.

Figure our attacking will flowing from Coutinho and Firmino next season. Worth a punt imo.

I think I'd rather have Milner than either of them

I think Milner will be the consistent one.

He might play as CM tho.

I'm hoping Milner will be reasonably priced so I can get him in as 4th mid. Underrated at Man C but could work well at Lpool although Rodgers needs to sort himself out sharpish.

Well I consider it unlikely Firmino will be a MID. And I don't really want either at this moment but...

      Probably, just about, Firmino.

Might just be one of OOP players next season if they decide to put him as MID.

But, you are right, there is a chances for FWD.

LvG will probably keep him on the bench most of the season 😉

        Interesting.

He might share minutes with Di Maria, Mata, Young, Januzaj tho.

He is way better than them. Januzaj going on loan, Mata playing on the other position, ADM might go.

Neither. At 8.0 for a MID they would both be overpriced given Man U's congested midfield and Pool being in turmoil (plus Firmino could easily be classed a FWD). There are much better bargains out there-Mane at SOT or for a punt (and assuming the transfer happens) Payet at WHU.

Payet's yet to go through, last I heard?

Yeah, sounds like his agent is mucking about (no surprise there) but hopefully will go through. WHU need some genuinely exciting players to come in & I hope Bilic is the one to do it for them.

Obviously there is others to choose from.

Just want to see what people preferences in regards of both players.

Neither would be a choice too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've heard, Firmino and Payet both scored 7 goals last season and Firmino has 21 assist in 2 seasons and Payet 21 assist last season alone, is Firmino worth almost 3 times as much as Payet ? This isn't trying to be funny or clever as I said I'm not sure on figures and don't know much about either player just curious

Different leagues, different ages, different nationalities, different hype.

But 3 times was probably a little excessive.

I thought the leagues are similar and nationality wouldn't matter so I suppose it's just the age

I'd say any footballer lover who follows the game a bit would know him, especially when they were an outrage when he was not included in the Brazil WC squad.
Consistent performer for three seasons in the BuLi.
