After stepping in as a caretaker manager following the sacking of Michael Laudrup, Garry Monk eventually guided Swansea to a 12th place finish in the 2013/14 season, and was handed the job on a permanent basis ahead of the 2014/15 campaign. The former captain went about rebuilding his squad, with Lukasz Fabianski, Federico Fernandez, Jefferson Montero, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bafetimbi Gomis amongst the notable arrivals. Many of the Spanish contingent at the Liberty departed, though, with Chico Flores, Pablo Hernandez and Michu (on loan) all leaving the club, while Michel Vorm and Ben Davies joined Tottenham.

In this members article, we take a detailed look at Monk’s first full season in charge, analysing the chief goal threats and creators as the Swans recorded a record points total (56) and highest Premier League finish of eighth under the rookie manager.

      Your defense is a little unbalanced, you need at least 2 big names there (Azpi and somone else), rest looks good.

      I've the same GK's, four of the five same defenders and the same front three so I'd like to think that the team is fantastic.

      Midfield wise I've gone Hazard, Yaya, Ozil, Siggy and Anya (any £4.5m will do) but that's becuase me other defender is a £5m and you've gone £4m with Saylor.

      Have had Walcott in and out my side in place of Ozil as I have £0.5m in the bank for early transfers. Not sure Mane is reliable. Not many goals early on last season. Then a small period of form followed by a quiet period until his hattrick. Without that hattrick I doubt he'd be in as many teams.

      As I said though, it's so close to mine I'd like to think it's a very strong team.

      with ownership that high I can only assume many people haven't looked past GW1

      If so he could be sold en masse and suffer a price drop or 2 between GWs 2 and 11, making him a very cheap pickup when the fixtures improve

    I think Hull would have stayed up last season if Bruce played Robbie Brady. Couldn't understand the lack of game time.

    How much are people trusting Southamptons defense from the start with no Forster, Schneiderlin, Clyne or Alderwield? I'm tempted to go for Cedric and save 0.5 but might just spend the extra and go with the safer option of Shaw.
