The holy grail for Fantasy Football managers is finding a player who can not only score plenty of goals but also rack up a fine tally of assist points too. Gaining both very often results in even more points through bonus allocation. This analysis aims to find these solid gold players who over the last three seasons who have the best record at bringing in Fantasy returns by both scoring and assisting.
The criteria for this article is as follows: strikers & midfielders must have more than 30 goals and assists in total since and including season 2012/13, whilst defenders must have over 10 total goals/assists in the same time period. Although this filters out recent additions to the league, what it does do is provide an excellent tool for aiding the Fantasy manager to pick proven players with minimal risk. I have also included the minutes they have played and how long it takes them to record at least a goal or assist.

Conclusions
An elite group of just three players has emerged who have recorded a goal or assist faster than every 90 minutes on average. These are Sergio Aguero, Daniel Sturridge and Theo Walcott. All three have had their issues with injuries over the years, but this analysis suggests that if they start a game they have the shortest odds of any players in this article to deliver a return of at least an assist or a goal.
Amongst other notable strikers who offer all round points potential are Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane. Both take under 110 minutes to register either a goal or assist. This suggests that their hefty FPL price tags of 10.5m and 9.5m could actually offer excellent value given their potential for points.
For midfielders the chance of assists is far higher. The key group to focus on though are those who are also prolific goal scorers, of which Eden Hazard, Yaya Toure, Theo Walcott, Kevin Mirallas and Jason Puncheon are the best. Given midfielders gain five FPL points for each goal scored this quintet have represented excellent points scoring potential over a number of seasons, with Walcott once again proving to be a stand out pick.
The analysis also shows in cold hard figures how rare goals and assists are for defenders, in comparison to their midfield and forward counterparts. Amongst the most attacking defenders over the years Alexsander Kolarov and Leighton Baines stand head and shoulders above other defenders in terms of minutes per goal or assist.
