Today’s Wembley showpiece between Chelsea and Arsenal affords Fantasy managers further opportunity to scout our options for the upcoming campaign, with the Premier League kick off now just six days away.

For the Blues, Diego Costa is sidelined due to “discomfort in his hamstring” once again. Loic Remy is handed the chance to lead the line in the Spain international’s absence, with loan signing Radamel Falcao on the bench. William and Ramires join Eden Hazard in the attacking midfield three behind Remy, with Jose Mourinho naming last season’s defensive regulars along with Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic in the double-pivot.

Theo Walcott gets the chance to lead the line for Arsenal, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain selected in the XI as Olivier Giroud is named amongst the subs. Arsene Wenger’s side are as expected, otherwise, with Hector Bellerin selected ahead of Mathieu Debuchy at right-back, whilst Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey join Oxlade-Chamberlain in the positions behind Walcott. Jack Wilshere misses out through injury for the Gunners.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

And it's the way he's offside. If you try to beat the offside trap and get caught 5 times, that's fine, the one time you get it right you'll get a one-on-one. Benteke gets a lot of them.

Remy just stands around in an offside position.

Has anyone considered terry over ivanovic? Or does the equal price make it a no brainer for ivan? They have both scored pretty similarly over past two seasons (in fact terry has scored higher over that timeframe)

Hes amazing but he will be rotated at some point with chambers and debuchy itching for at least some time. This will be especially true when champions league/other competitions come along.

That said, with a nice bench of playing defenders for those rotation gws combined with the upside provided going forward he is worth the risk Imo. If it doesnt work out bellerin > darmian isn't the worst of transfers if he nails down a spot as well.

For those wondering about Arsenal options (I give a rating which involves their potential for returns and starts)

Cech: good option for those thinking keepers are worthwhile to splash the cash on. But I'm sure that an Arsenal defender would be a better alternative. 7/10

Koscielny/Mertesacker: nailed on as Paulista and Chambers need time to become acclimatised with the club. At 0.5 mil cheaper, I don't see any advantage going with Koscielny over Mertesacker. 9/10

Monreal/Gibbs: too risky, will rotate much like Man City's LBs. Will get less attacking returns than Bellerin/Debuchy. 6/10

Bellerin/Debuchy: risky, but we may see a clear winner in the battle this season- despite Bellerin's form, Wenger will be careful with him given his age and Debuchy is a French international who is perhaps more 'solid'. Wouldn't start with one. Would prefer Koscielny or Mertesacker. 7/10

Coquelin: guaranteed as Arsenal need a defensive midfield option, not a viable FPL player. But a guaranteed starter. 5/10

Cazorla: will take penalties (could be many) and is more than a decent option but later in the season we will see whether there are more explosive options further forward. Guaranteed starter. 7/10

Sanchez: once fit, I think him and Aguero along with Hazard will be almost vital (unless we find another clear explosive option in the Arsenal midfield) 9/10

Ozil: huge expectations and everything is pointing towards him being the most valuable and possibly the most flourishing option in the Arsenal attack. Both player and manager are talking of him upping his goal output. Also has free kicks nailed on. Needs to step it up in the big games though. Guaranteed starter. 9/10

Ramsey: will fill in any gaps due to injuries but likely to start the majority of games- don't see him on the bench when fit really. Less explosive than others and would likely play left or right wing which will threaten his minutes. 7.5/10

Walcott: the big question. Signing a new deal, so you would expect him to be playing mostly as the lone striker when fit. I do feel though that Wenger will choose between Giroud and Walcott of who to start up front depending on the team: e.g. against Chelsea, I think we would all choose Walcott over Giroud if we were Wenger to run in behind. However, if we do see him nailed on (Giroud injury, Walcott form etc.) then he is a must have. 8/10

Giroud: again, will start depending on the fixture. I don't see any guaranteed striker this season for Arsenal. This dents Giroud's appeal. However, Giroud will always be an option up front (unless Benzema comes which is doubtful as Arsenal are leaving it to Madrid to decide if he can go) which dents Walcott's appeal. 7.5/10

Wilshere/Ox/Flamini/Arteta: Gap fillers, though Wilshere and the Ox may start a few matches in a fully fit team.

So my prediction for the starting line-up when all fit:
    Cech
    Bellerin/Debuchy (can't separate), Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs/Monreal (can't separate)
    Cazorla, Coquelin
    Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey/Walcott
    Giroud/Walcott

That's just my opinion anyway: yours may be different. So from that, I will start with Mertesacker and Ozil.

I hope this will stop similar questions every other hour about the Arsenal attack- truth is none of us really can tell you that Walcott/Giroud are nailed on.

I think an Arsenal attacker is vital for FPL this year- the team look like they have the right mentality and physicality for going close to winning the league.

I just can't bring myself to put Walcott in. He's not better than Giroud by enough to be naiiled up front and when Sanchez comes back him and Ozil guarantee 2 of the 3 attacking midifield places. That leaves him battling 50/50 to play up front and 50/50 to play at AM over Ramsey. Then throw Ox and Wilshere in the mix and I can't see him starting more than 25 games.

Xavi played regularly, and effectively, in one of the best midfields of all time until he was 33, Cazorla plays a similar role.

Didn't mean this season as such, Caz is 31 this year so will the more minutes Ox picks up keep him happy until Caz's out?

The position and style Caz plays expect him to be there for a while.
Ox won't ever play in his position anyway so just forget that.

Ox has played fantastically at CM, and Rambo could play there with Ox further forward too

Ramsey back in the pivot where he belongs. I can see it.

Probably just for defensive reasons. I'd expect Caz back in the pivot next week.

As Caz ages I can see Ox getting more game time on the wing relieving Ramsey of wing duty

    Thoughts on this team?

    Butland / speroni

    Apzil/cedric/mertarsacker/alderweld/kaboul

    Walcott/hazard/chadli/Sterling/milner

    Rooney/Wilson/deeney

Definitely downgrade kaboul and alderweireld and upgrade wilson to give you a chance of 2 premium forwards and a chance of getting aguero

Just one top quality strike separates the 2 teams (and if Ramirez didn't have a 50p head it would be level)
