Today’s Wembley showpiece between Chelsea and Arsenal affords Fantasy managers further opportunity to scout our options for the upcoming campaign, with the Premier League kick off now just six days away.

For the Blues, Diego Costa is sidelined due to “discomfort in his hamstring” once again. Loic Remy is handed the chance to lead the line in the Spain international’s absence, with loan signing Radamel Falcao on the bench. William and Ramires join Eden Hazard in the attacking midfield three behind Remy, with Jose Mourinho naming last season’s defensive regulars along with Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic in the double-pivot.

Theo Walcott gets the chance to lead the line for Arsenal, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain selected in the XI as Olivier Giroud is named amongst the subs. Arsene Wenger’s side are as expected, otherwise, with Hector Bellerin selected ahead of Mathieu Debuchy at right-back, whilst Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey join Oxlade-Chamberlain in the positions behind Walcott. Jack Wilshere misses out through injury for the Gunners.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Arsenal winning it seems good for two reasons: Mou having his arrogance rubbed in his smug face; Arsenal showing they can challenge Chelsea makes the season more interesting.

But wait for Chelsea to spend £80M+ on new players before the deadline and Wenger to think that he needs no reinforcement in DM or CF positions. Benzema deal cancelled, as Walcott and Giroud were soooo good. 🙄

FPL wise this gave me close to nothing.

Arsenal won the CS last year vs Citeh, and it didn't ultimately lead to a major title/improvement.
If Arsenal do win something more this year, how many people will claim the CS was important?

      • 10 Years

Yep I agree, just like getting Alexis was much more important last year than the CS, it's just the attempt to use the CS as proof of something. It's a single game and shouldn't increase the expectations on Arsenal just because they won it

First time back on her after a couple of months. Started to form my 1st draft, left it a little late.

As for 4.0 defenders, how long do we think Targett will be an option for? Is Saylor a better option? I'd rather not waste early transfer(s) on shifting him.
