Season after season we’re seeing new weekly and daily Fantasy Football games launch and compete for our attention. It’s become obvious that these types of games are here to stay and are growing at pace.

This summer has been no different and it’s became clear that we needed a new approach to dealing with the games and to help guide those who decide to dip into them.

While we’ve limited ourselves to working with two full-time weekly/daily game partners in previous seasons, this time around we’re going to be more fluid over the course of the campaign.

You’ll see a number of games appear on our pages, some new, some familiar, although we’ll never look to cover more than two dedicated games in any given Gameweek.

In addition, we’ve a new approach to discussing these games and guiding your involvement.

We’ve recruited the 2013/14 Fantasy Premier League champion, Tom Fenley and we’re setting him a challenge.

He’ll get £100 stake money in every game that we include on our pages and we’re challenging him to use his undoubted Fantasy Football talent to turn that into profit.

Tom will be here updating his progress in each game, mulling over the options presented in a bid to build on his stake money.

He’ll also be providing a new “Weekly Shop” article in midweek which will detail his thinking for his player selections, outlining those picks that will be the mainstays of his weekly/daily lineups and those budget “enablers” that allow for big spend elsewhere.

In this way, we hope that we can help guide your strategies in whatever game you’re playing, whilst giving you an insight into playing some of our partner games week to week, including the prizes and formats they may have on offer.

In the meantime, we’d appreciate your views on daily and weekly games and will be starting a Hot Topic later this evening to capture your thoughts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm amazed at the fact United lost what, 16 million quid ? on a disastrous signing plus blew millions and millions more on Falcao.
Other teams get slated for those kind of mistakes. With United it's just a case of *ahem* nothing to see here..

Good team. Relying on Norwich GK combo not for me, but I can see why you've done it.
People on here reckon Coates and Kaboul MAY be ahead of O'Shea.
Like the front 7. I'm going Wilson over Deeney but that's just a guess on my part.

hey everyone, understandably posts are coming in thick and fast, so just a quick one from me - looking for a cheap mid - Ritchie (bournemouth) or Redmond (Norwich), not sure if I fancy Ki, seems like Swansea have a tough schedule compared to Ritchie and Redmond.

    Thoughts? 🙂

Cool thanks guys for your help! I plumped for Redmond over anyone else in NRW mid cos I heard Redmond takes the set pieces, not sure how accurate that is. Mahrez I agree looks good for his price but the Tinkerman is....well the Tinkerman.
Dumb question but who is Sinclair? Scott Sinclair at Villa?

I haven't seen Ritchie play, is he the real deal?

I looked at Williams because I think Swansea will be robust and his CBI is out of this world, i.e. should be an even bigger BAP magnet, but then I saw the fixtures and I asked myself - when would I play him?

Have him in my team. His Bonus point production should be very good. Depending on your team. I currently have him penciled in for GW 2 - 3 - 5.

I've gone Pelle & Cedric. Mane very tempting but Pelle is better value IMO and the cash saved versus say Kane or Tekkers can be better utilised elsewhere

Most will probably say Mane, but I've decided to go with Pelle. Largely to do with who I would have in place of either one. Frankly, I don't fancy the likes of Deeney or Wilson. Pelle has also had a great pre season, hoping he can start well like last year.

Cedric, easy one for me that.

          Article suggests it'll be 4-3-3:

          Depay, Rooney, Pedro up top.

          Schweine/Schneidie/Herrera (Carrick/Blind/Fellaini?) as the three?

The way they're currently playing is also a LVG 4-3-3 though and Herrera isn't in the team.

I'm no Man U expert, but my 2 cents is Man U will play 4-3-3:

The midfield will be Carrick, Schneiderlin and 1 of Schwinsteiger/Fellaini/Herrera.

The front 3 will be Pedro and Rooney and 1 of Depay and Mata. Paedro & Depay/Mata would play as inverted forwards either side of Rooney, and this also would make sense with LVG saying he will ease Depay in to the team.

There will be so much rotation with them back in Europe this season, I think Rooney is the only guaranteed starter in the league.

    Goalkeeper: Adrian
    Defence: Cedric Williams Azpillicueta
    Mids: Hazard, Payet,Walcott, Sterling
    Forwards: Rooney, Benteke, Wilson

    Bench: Schmeicel Morgan Huth Wanyama

Feel free to advise me on captain.
I will rotate Fabianski and Schmeicel according to fixtures
I will also rotate Williams and Morgan/Huth according to fixtures

7, very similar to mine but I have Caz instead of Payet and currently Costa instead of Rooney.

Think Caz is significantly better pick than Payet, at least early in the season.

It's not LVG's fault that Young was performing better. Is Di Maria a better player? Then maybe he should have a better dribbling percent than 37% (league average of 49%) and be able to complete a short-pass.

He didn't play OOP nearly as much as people say.

He played centre midfield a few times though, and that was getting talked up as his position.

He's a left winger, I don't see how anyone would think Di Maria has the tools to play in the centre of the park in the premier league.

he did it a few times to great effect for Real..aside from a few times at CM and once up top he either played LW or RW..hardly a sob story IMO..he was just mediocre and it was his fault mostly..I mean Ashley Young was outperforming him

There are a lot of uncertainties around the Sunderland back four, but if we look past PvA who is priced above the rest I think the safest bet would be B.Jones.
He felt something in his hammy so he withdrew from the game against Sacramento so Matthews got the nod. Other than that he has started every game. Although they both started against Toronto. But the last three games, and most importantly the last one against Hanover, he played the full 90 mins.

I really don't know much about Adam Matthews, but maybe someone in here does? Was he a regular at Celtic?
