With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm happy with all the Young and Silva owners with little balance in their sides. Ahead of a lot of people at moment but the two Manc teams arn't going to be scoring 4+ goals every week, form will slow down and rotation will kick in when all the cups start progressing. Thing is people who already have them will struggle to get rid of them because of how much they'd have to spend to get them back and won't want to risk getting rid. As the season progresses there'll be cheaper options with more security i believe.

Sounds like somebodys midfield is pretty weak 😉

Is that worse than struggling to get them when you see the gulf increasing between the have-thems and the do not have thems? You speak many truths, but your truth is not the absolute.

And us non Silva owners will week in week out pray that they stop scoring, refusing to get them in. Even with a hit.

      They won't.

He´ll come good, unfortunately it will probably be an explosion GW7 against Wigan when he finally reaches top shape. It´s better this way, hell he probably spent all summer smoking blunts. It´s a miracle he hasn´t injured himself (knocking on wood for you here) in the process of getting fit. I´ll probably scoop him up after QPR hopefully it will be a somewhat close swap for him and Jarvis by then. How has he look in the past two matches? Stuck in La Liga land, Canal Plus blows!

I have a horrible feeling Villa has just become exactly the sort of place where N'Zog could disappear, the three up front means there is little chance to shine for him, and I've rated N'Z as a good mid. The only teams of mine he's still in is Metro where he does OK.

That is a strange thing to say, it isn't like midfielders in the past (Lampard, Malouda, Ronaldo, Nani, Gerrard, Fabregas etc) started well and then just suddenly stop scoring points :/

Why would Silva just stop getting points?

For the moment its Mata, Arteta, Osman, Dyer and Moses but i can mix the rest of my team around (downgrade Bent and A.Cole) and afford anyone to take Osmans place for when Evertons fixtures are more difficult.

Dyer and Moses are cheap fillers that'll be rotated based on fixtures to allow more to spend on bigger hitters. Mata may be the only one you want but Arteta has good fixtures and if his role isn't what some people have predicted i can WC him out and i've gained 0.1 on him. Osman play in the middle of a front 3 behind the striker so is worth keeping atm.

wrong! How can people who have them struggle to get them back?

If they start getting out of form, I can transfer one of them out for an in form player. The problem is there are no cheap or mid priced midfielders in form at the moment except jarvis. Once Z'bia, Sess, moses, tarrabt or any others have two decent scoring games in a row, I will get them straight in before a major price rise. If you dont have "some" of the inform players, its you that will be left behind regarding points and price rises.

So if Dzeko starts tonight, I´m thinking of riding this thing out with Kun. I thought about riding with both of them but there is no way I feel like dumping Richards or Silva. I´m also going to sit on Welbeck, and hope Roonpig or Hernandez get a knock. I need a voodoo doll fitted to either one of their kits...Rooney most preferable, but I know that outside linebacker won´t get hurt (reverse psych).

I agree, I wish I had them both, you can´t have it all but you can have a lot of stock in Google or a little stock in Ryan Air...

Do the math, as long as the rest of the team is semi balanced you´re good. I would only really need to dump baines for Simpson and I´d be good, but I wanna wait until Everton plays Wigan to even entertain this and to see how the Champions league weighs on their high octane scoring.

Sure, if it hurts you so bad to bench a lot of money every now and then. Though, I would feel very safe having a forward line of Rooney/Aguero/Dzeko. It's something I'm aiming for when Arsenal's good fixtures end and I can dump RVP in good conscience.

I´d say no, you´d only be hustling sideways at best, save them up because you´ll need reconstructive surgery and loads of transfers should one of your big 5 get crocked. Let your major 7 do the scoring for you, anything else (cleanies and what not are just bonus). Can´t hate on that.

What are peoples thoughts on Benyaoun? I bought him in thinking he will get good game time and at the price and with Arsenals fixtures he seemed like a bargain! Will he get a regular 90minutes a game slot or is he going to be a benchwarmer for the gunners?

He looked pretty active for them last night, I just wish Wenger would ship Arshavin to Siberia. But you´re right especially with Gervinho back. I just think Wenger is missing out not inserting him somewhere, he beats defenders, and all Arsenal seem to do is pass the rock around...and around...and around.

        Given (Vorm)
        Baines Kompany Brown (Simpson Bosingwa)
        Walcott Nasri Dyer Jarvis (Brunt)
        Rooney Dzeko Saha

I'm thinking Saha - Agbo, but if Saha doesn't look like his price will drop then I'm tempted to give him one more week. He says he's over his knock now so might get a bit of playing time, and has a decent fixture. Also the 2 frees will be handy next week, and I'm not sure I really want Agbo anyway.

Should I do a -4 hit and get him back now, even though the price is 0.3 higher than when I sold him? Or should I just live without him for the rest of the season?

        This is my current team:
        Krul/Vorm
Simpson Bosingwa Olsson De Laet Ward
        Young Silva Brunt Dyer Walcott
        Suarez Dzeko RvP

Any help will be very apprecited!

I think you have to stick now, at least until the Jan wildcard. It's tough but he really will have a 2 pointer soon, maybe even this weekend.

If you keep RVP, I would downgrade Walcott and get Rooney in for Suarez who doesn't have an easy game in the next four.

You would think so Jonty, home to Wolves, but they've only let three in this season. Mick seems to have got them going imo.

I think you are right, but I'm keeping him for that clash as a possible final hurrah for Suarez.

                My vague plan is

                gw5- stick
                gw6 - baines-larrson-RVP out for a 4pt silva, aguero/dzeko- cheap defender mini wildcard
gw7- suarez out for whoever the form striker with good fixtures is at that time.

Looks good, and if RVP bucks up Baines and Larsson should still do your other two. I'll check our Metro leagues after this weeks six transfers have a chance to perform.

One more week for RVP.....what's the verdict? If he can score in the champs league, surely he can slide one past Blackburn.

Although having him does give me the option of getting pretty much any other striker.

I'll be keeping for this week. The latter half of last season and the beginning of this they've look a little better away (asides from the freak 8-2). One more week, and if Arsenal are pants again, then he can make way.

that's my thinking. If he can't score against swansea at home and blackburn away then he is out for me. More importantly that would make him a captain risk and for 12m i want a captain certainty.

Agree as well they are better against the poor teams away than at home. Still not captaining him though. He cost me dearly this week.

my UCL defenders still have clean sheet points they shouldnt have
do we think the extra points will be removed? if they are going stay, then i'm not going to bother subbing them out for my players who play tonight

U would think they would be, i think its best to assume they will be or that would be mental.

          Not sure about the GK's.

Fairly predictable accept for the AA's up front - you strapped for cash?

How much longer is Yaya likely to remain playing as a holding Mid. I think he's due a goal - he oves getting forward and DeJong can't be far off a return???
