With only three days remaining until the 2015/16 Premier League campaign gets underway, we thought we’d take an in-depth look at the first match of the domestic season, which took place last Sunday. Arsenal’s 1-0 Community Shield victory over Chelsea finally broke Arsene Wenger’s winless streak over nemesis Jose Mourinho, thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half wonder strike.

    My team looks so much better without Sterling

    but

    a) he could play up top GW1
    b) for me it's about getting 2 x City attackers GW4, very difficult without a wc or starting with 1

      Sterling has bags of potential in that City side. His price could rise quite quickly if he hits the ground running.

      The fixtures are not good though, and his finishing needs to improve from last season...

      Hmmm. I'm not bothered about a), because Aguero is the only City attacker I feel would be worth having through their tough early fixtures...but b) is a very valid point. I'm starting with Aguero and I'm still worried I won't be able to accommodate Sterling in GW4.

    Ok I think I've finally sorted my team. Planning on Wildcarding GW4 during the international break so this team is based on the early fixtures and I am going to swap out Sterling and Rooney for Depay and Aguero in time for City's game against watford at home.

        Thanks, that's what I was thinking, I'm quite happy with this. But your suggestion would give me 0.5 itb to either upgrade Pelle > Benteke or spend it on Pudil > 4.5m.

        I could also dg Sakho > Wilson but I feel that's a little short term.

    A few opinions please guys. Is Fabregas a viable alternative to Hazard?

    I like the look of the team without Hazard. My front 8 are as follows:

    Cazorla Fàbregas Walcott Sterling Ritchie
    Rooney Pellè Sakho

    Whereas with Hazard its:

    Milner Hazard Walcott Sterling Sinclair
    Rooney Pellè Sakho

      You can but it probably won't be the most effective way of spending your budget. I think 2 of Hazard, Sanchez, Aguero is the best you can do without destroying your team.

      Like it! Pelle & Mane is maybe too much SOU, but great fixtures nontheless, so worth it. I would upgrade Pelle to Benteke when the big man starts banging them in for LVPL
