With only three days remaining until the 2015/16 Premier League campaign gets underway, we thought we’d take an in-depth look at the first match of the domestic season, which took place last Sunday. Arsenal’s 1-0 Community Shield victory over Chelsea finally broke Arsene Wenger’s winless streak over nemesis Jose Mourinho, thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half wonder strike.

As Fantasy managers start to fine-tune their final 15-man squads for the campaign ahead, our next members article delves into the data from Wembley’s weekend showdown.

    What are your thoughts on Ward? I need a 4.5 defender. Is he worth getting?

    I already have francis and Huth (panti in goals)

      Not Bad. But palace defense is worth avoiding.

      Would he be backup or starting? Either way I think the new BPS scoring system will probably benefit him as he's always up there scoring high on CBI which will be rewarded better this season, he's my back up in case Francis or Huth get injured, got Kosc and Ivan as the two starting defenders in a back 3, plan to rotate Huth and Francis

                I don't know much about the bps, why would you think that?
                Does he get a lot of clearances? what does he do that would suggest he could score highly? (I know you can't be certain, but a prediction would help) 😀

      Plenty of better choices at 4.5 than Ward. You already have the best two in my opinion but there's also Richards, Prodl and others. I wouldn't touch Palace's defence.

      Switch to Mert, Debuchy is now fully fit and for the money they paid from him and champo league coming he will definitely rotate at some point, Mert more nailed on but I wouldn't go for any Arsenal defender other than Kosc, personal preference though.

      Wouldn't leave out Rooney, maybe upgrade Kane to Rooney? Kane will be tired from U21's and stuff

    I am a Saints fan so Cedric, Mane and Pelle are going to win us the league this year =)
    I have went for Hazard over Fab, and I like the Hoolahan/Sinclair rotation for the first part of the year.

      Even though you're Saints fan I don't think tripling up on them is such a good idea, especially with Europa League in mind.

    Wanna cover both Southampton and West Ham, feel all 4 will do well but somehow need to choose haha, any thoughts would be appreciated.

          I know... cant ignore his stats, but Mane had the second best goal to shot ratio out of the midfielders last season behind Sanchez... so I really don't know haha

    Hi

    For this week, I am super famous in the FFS community. 🙂 Good time to be, the forum is busy as hell.

    So, I have posted a potential XI to challenge the Scout Picks earlier. I know the short list of popular picks. No need to show how I am picking Ivanovic or Hazard or anything like that.

    What is important is to beat the Scout by a hefty margin, that means I must think about at least a couple of differentials.

    So, if you would like to add some input on this week's community challenge, please offer up a name or two that is NOT so popular. I have heard Charlie Adam mentioned. Fair enough, he is in the conversation. Use Adam as a gauge.

    A bit different, but I like it. I think the only compromise I made is Mahrez as the 4th defender and used the cash for more attacking defence. I guess Mahrez will earn almost same points as any 7M Mid at the beginning of the season because of his fixtures.

        Ya his Game time is a doubt, that's why have a backup Sunderland defender :). Kolarov will be downgraded to Lescott if he does not start in couple of games and will get WBA/SUN Rotation. Anyways, thats the idea

      It depends when you are going to put on Aguero. I would spend the extra 0.5 and get an additional 4.5 Def, as you will probably make the 0.5 back over the coming weeks to still do the big lad.

      I had Chech, but really find him too expensive even though he is a great GK. 10% Of your budget on GK. Rather upgrade the defence with 1m and get a 4,5+4,5GK.. I myself wonder about Sakho is the best choice with some dodgy fixtures here and there first GW's. Love the midfield but about Walcott I think this says it:
