Limping out of the blocks like three flabby Dads at their kids’ Sports Day, Granville, Jonty and myself are in a sheepish mood for the first ScoutCast of the season.

We do our upmost to rouse some enthusiasm for the events of Gameweek 1, buoyed by tales from you, the community and your latest round of finely honed questions, drilling down into the current big dilemmas.

Chelsea and Arsenal’s stuttering start, the strategy surrounding Aguero and Sanchez, plus the top targets ahead of Friday’s 6.45 deadline provide plenty to distract me from the fact that I’d been robbed of a David Silva goal just minutes before coming on air.

    If you're on a wildcard and have Walcott in your team, a safety move would be to sell him now. If he drops tonight you save yourself 0.1 buying him back tomorrow so you have him for the Palace game. If he doesn't drop, you've lost nothing buying him back tomorrow morning so you have him for the Palace game.

      If someone is on a wildcard and goes forward with Walcott I'd question their sanity.

      This is the same logic I'm considering, but in a non-WC context.

      If I transfer out now and he drops, the scenarios are:

      A) He doesn't start/doesn't play well, in which case I made the right decision and avoiding losing -0.1 which might make the difference when I want Aguero

      B) He bangs some goals in, I waste 1FT getting him back, but in doing so recoup 0.1 which means I could get in another player who has risen (eg Mahrez, Gomez, Adrian after tonight, etc) without affecting my team structure/distribution of funds,

        It's certainly possible. If he starts and Walcott doesn't, it's only a -3, and then Sanchez can easily do some damage on the pitch.

    Granted he can't score from the bench but Sanchez is going to have to wait as my new seasons resolution was to stop taking hits. So I need you good people to help me on who to get in for Wilson, I'm still stuck. Defoe? But with Johnson out is he less or even more appealing? Deeney? Is he still captino and first choice after Ighalos appearance or Zarate? But is it Sakhos turn to shine.
    Or I save the FT and hope Ibe starts and plays a bit and bench Wilson or in fact play Wilson.
    Help please, I've stuck with Walcott thought that was the hard decision.

    Oh God, how the hell I can decide one of Mane, Payet and Tadic as Hazards replacement. I wasn't so happy to start with him, and now I think he isn't worth his price right now, but will get him at some part soon. Can you, guys, help me?

    Mane - most explosive and I think he will score the most points. But I also want to get Gomis soon, and it will be hard because I'll have to downgrade Sterling to Yaya and Yaya will probably rise before that.

    Tadic - my rival has got him. Can't rely only on assists, but he could also be good. And he is Serb.

      In my mind it isn't an issue because with saving a FT I'll have 2FT + maybe a hit to easily get Aguero in. We've only had one GW, who knows whats going to happen next week.

      Exact same dilemma here, went for Payet. I think he's the better player and will be more involved, Swansea have a range of attacking options. I also think I needa see more of Ayew.

      Plus, West Ham's upcoming fixtures are brilliant
