The EA SPORTS PPI scores for Gameweek five are now available and the Fantasy Premier League bonus points have been awarded. Here’s a full breakdown of how they map out match by match. Look out for our round-up of the key factors that contributed to the awards over at the Scout column on the FPL site later today.

Aston Villa 1 Newcastle 1
Best 3, Agbonlahor 2, Tiote 2

Leon Best’s strike for the visitors was enough to see him fetch the 3 bonus points, with team-mate Cheik Tiote and Villa’s Agbonlahor returning identical PPI scores, the honours for the 2 bonus were shared. That denied Danny Simpson – he came in next in the PPI rankings.

Bolton 1 Norwich 2
Pilkington 3, Barnett 2, Morison 1

Anthony Pilkington and Leon Barnett grabbed the plaudits for Norwich at the Reebok and duly claimed the bonus points here – Pilkington’s goal and Barnett’s resolute defensive display earning them recognition. Steve Morison’s performance helped him earn a single bonus, with Martin Petrov Bolton’s leading performer trailing David Fox, Bradley Johnson and Russell Martin in the PPI stakes.

Blackburn 4 Arsenal 3
Yakubu 3, N’Zonzi 2, Arteta 1

Yakubu’s brace earns him the top overall EA Sports PPI score of the Gameweek with 47 – making him a clear front-runner for the maximum FPL bonus in this match. Steve N’Zonzi grabs the 2, with Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta earning a single bonus point for his goal and overall performance. The Spaniard edged out Junior Hoilett, Scott Dann and Gervinho who all notched up strong PPI scores.

Everton 3 Wigan 1
Jagielka 3, Hibbert 2, Vellios 2

As expected, Phil Jagielka earns the maximum here courtesy of his equalising goal and all-round defensive display. Tony Hibbert’s fine cross for the Vellios header has him collect the 2 and, with an identical PPI to the Greek, he shares the award. That meant that Royston Drenthe missed out on earning a single bonus point – he ranked next in the PPI scores for David Moyes’ men.

Fulham 2 Man City 2
Aguero 3, Murphy 2, Zamora 1

Sergio Aguero gathers another batch of bonus with his brace of goals for visiting City. Fulham’s fightback sees both goalscorers – Danny Murphy and Bobby Zamora earn recognition, with Clint Dempsey just outside the reckoning.

Man United 3 Chelsea 1
Nani 3, Young 2, Smalling 1

Few surprises here – Nani’s goal and assist were enough to see him as a clear PPI leader, leaving team-mates Ashley Young and Chris Smalling in his wake. Jonnny Evans and Wayne Rooney ranked next for the home side, with Jose Boswinga Chelsea’s top PPI performer on the day.

Sunderland 4 Stoke City 0
Gardner 3, Bramble 2, Larsson 1

As expected, three of Sunderland’s scorers dominate the PPI and FPL bonus. Craig Gardner narrowly edged out team-mates Titus Bramble and Seb Larsson, with Wes Brown ranking next for the victorious home side. Peter Crouch was beaten Stoke’s top PPI performer.

Swansea 3 West Brom 0
Lita 3, Dyer 2, Sinclair 1

A goal and an assist were enough to see Leroy Lita earn the maximum from this match – Scott Sinclair, whilst matching Lita’s output, presumably suffering a PPI penalty for several efforts off target. Nathan Dyer sandwiched these two for bonus points, as Swansea ran riot at the Liberty. Joe Allen and Ashley Williams were just outside the top three PPI rankings with Nicky Shorey the highest rated performer for the Baggies.

Tottenham 4 Liverpool 0
Adebayor 3, Modric 2, Defoe 1

A superb display, capped by two well-taken goals, saw Adeabyor amass an impressive PPI score in the win over Liverpool. No surprises to see him claim the maximum here then, with fellow goalscorers – Luka Modric and Jermain Defoe – picking up the remainder. Benoit Assou-Ekotto can count himself unlucky to miss out on bonus having put in a strong shift, while Jamie Carragher was the top PPI scorer for the forlorn visitors.

Wolves 0 QPR 3
Faurlin 3, Barton 2, Wright-Phillips 1

Faurlin’s fine strike for QPR’s second goal has him collect the three bonus, although, with Barton earning 2 – we might even see a change here. Barton appeared to assist Faurlin’s goal with both Wolves clearances occurring inside the penalty area before the Argentine converted his shot. Wright-Phillips picked up a single bonus as reward for another encouraging display in the free-role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Its a nice team..very strong up front..not a bad midfield. In defence I'd prefer a cheap QPR defender as they are keeping clean sheets this season (3 so far) whereas Norwich aren't and De Laet didn't play last weekend

Yes, imo - under various controls:

When 2 or more players are definitely injured/suspended.
          For a double gameweek.
For a reasonable, and thought-through, change of strategy ...

Th bandwagon/knee jerk is highlighted in the extreme by the shipping-out of Dzeko, a player who just a couple of weeks ago was transferred in by the hundreds of thousands and a rise of .4.
I am one of the ones who has traded him out though.....:-p!

I would have never sold Dzeko except for Aguero. 8.6 is a bargain for a striker with that much midfield ammo.

I've shipped dzeko, the main reason being that I'm trying to find a way to slowly get aguero in. I'm still not beyond the realms of wildcarding but think I could handle one or two more points hits instead

Does anyone have premiership fixtures in excel, in which you fill out the score of each match and it automatically updates a table for you?
It also gives certain stats and stuff like that.

So im trying not to take too many hits this season and especially not unneccessary ones.

    My Squad looks like this

    Schwartzer, Vorm

Mertesacker, Bosingwa, Brown, Simp, De Laet

    Dempsey, Silva, Hunt, Petrov, Dyer

    Rooney, RVP, Suarez

Now im thinking Dempsey to Mata, leaving me 5.3 for a defender. Enrique looks a good shout with pools excellent fixtures. Is this a sane transfer that will pay off? Really tempted to knee jerk out dzeko or rvp but they both have a decent fixture next week so it seems silly to do so!

I agree. But that was also said I recall about Man U's fixtures at start of season, thus I did not get Rooney, to my regret.
I Know you cannot compare Man U to say Everton as they are on a different planet, just feel you cannot always go by fixtures. Baines is expensive for a reason for what he gives as a defender and I need that badly right now as I'm doing shi*t so I've decided to keep him through his supposed bad run.

I'm desperate! He's cheaper than bloody Downing and that lumps let me down. So tempted to upgrade him for Nani then thinking Wolves at home.

took a risk last week with Suarez out for Dzeko. Paid off...5pts up on the deal and from now to gwk9 I wager Dzeko will score more pts than Suarez. I'll post a tally at end of gwk8 to either be smug about or tearful over.

Just done RVP out for Ageuro. Same over the next few games until I wildcard gwk7-8 he will score more I'll wager. will do the same post Gwk8...betcha Aguero scores mroe than RVP.

Crazy? Maybe but none of my mini league have RVP and only one has Suarez.

All done...let's bring this new game week on.

I see you've finally ditched YaYa as well.

Having Ageuro and Dzeko is just temporary for a week or two before I wildcard gwk7-8

But having both is not as crazy as it sounds. Man City and Man Utd have proven they are more than capable of soundly spanking teams. It could pay to have two. Later in the season I don't see anything wrong with having say both Rooney and hernandez.

also having Aguero and Dzeko means I don't really have to worry about rotation...as I have both. nice to see those light blue fellas flanking rooney up top as well.

Yaya will return as soon as de Jong does! 🙂 I was silly enough to put Petrov in, and was rewarded in kind. First serious mistake - that I'm owning up to, anyway! 😀

Because having Suarez and RVP as differentials would be a terrible position to be in?

sometimes it pays to knee jerk...last season my lack of knee jerking to get rid of Drog or Malouda when Chelsea weren;t performing cost me dear.

Are L'pool and Arsenal really performing? If you had a clean slate now, would you hand on heart prefer Suarez or RVP for the next three weeks over Aguero?

          Suarez over Dzeko, yes.
He has been in form and unlucky, plus Wolves at home coming up? hmmm

then Everton and Man Utd (this season's Man Utd that is not the tired old team they played at the end of last season)

Over the next three weeks I'd be amazed if Suarez scored more than Dzeko.

there's no point being on form when the rest of the team isn't.

no wildcard...planning that for the next international break. Need to get a big midfield hitter, but am reluctant to do a pts hit to achieve it.

good luck with your first year. 255 is pretty good then considering.

Experience has made me ditch good players in teams out of form over good players in teams in form, but I admit that may not work out as planned.

its a risk...makes it more fun as well. I could have taken a hit to ditch Baines and brunt for silva and a cheap defender, but this way I still get the Man City coverage and the way this season is going I wouldn't be surprised to see Baines ease in a penalty at Man City.

I'm trying to get excited about Mata. Lot's of people bringing him in.
Is it purely because he's attacking and more nailed on than any one else bar Lamps? Or is there more to it than that? SWA of proved so far this season to be no walk over. I'm holding off until I see some proof damn u!

I'm personally struggling to nail the colours to the mast of any potential Tim Cahill (he's definitely leaving me this week) replacement.

They all do have big plus points... but I'm just not getting there yet.

Mata is great though, I'm just wholly hesitant on everything heading into next gameweek.

After a poor week of only 46 points I think i need to make a couple of changes.
i have finally lost patience with RVP & Holt. They are both going.
I just can't decide on which option to replace them with
    A- Adebayor & Agbonglahor
    b - Aguero & Kasnic

I think im leaning towards A as it will give me 2.6mill to upgrade later, but need a little vote to help me.
