Tempted into dealing our Wildcards by yet another “mediocre” Gameweek, Granville and I go through almost the entire episode before Jonty reveals he’s weakened and gone “active”. It’s a revelation that almost has us both logging off and reaching for our own panic buttons.

Before that dramatic finale, we find salvation via another bout of “rough the smooth”, cheering ourselves with tales of Gameweek totals which dip below even our miserable tallies.

We also take a further round of community questions, forcing me to “fess up” on Theo Walcott, while Granville laments Wayne Rooney’s form and the three of us tackle the merits of Mahrez, Ozil and loading up on City assets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      My current setup is

      8.5
      25.5
      37.9
      27.5

Pretty big on defense since teo of my transfers are PVA -> Kolarov & Targett -> Gomez, but I will sort it when I downgrade Jenk or even Kos.

Mid is lightweight despite owning Haz since my 2nd mid is Mane, but then a City midfielder is always coming in.

Trying to decide between Diouf and Sakho as my third Forward. Opinions? Looking at stats (this year and second half of last year) and they really favor Diouf. And with Sakho's arrest, Sept court date and Zarate injured - Diouf is looking better all the time.

    Got bottomed..

Thoughts on Kone as a cheap forward option? Cheaper than the popular choice Deeney, playing in a side that will score a lot more than Watford. Even with Everton's fixture list, perhaps a cheeky choice and good value for 5.1 with a goal and 2 assists to his name already.

Think im overthinking / trying to be too clever

    WC plan was-

    Ruddy/Rudd
    Darmian/Williams/ Targett/Richards/ Gomez
    Hazard/Sanchez/Yaya/Maherez/Westwood
    Aguero/Sahko/Gomis

    around 0.2 ITB

Now thinkg Hazard to Deapay. Will save the cash so Depay can be Hazard later?
Thinking- Depay much easier fixture plus if scores well transfers in will be mental.

    A- Stick with haz
B- Punt on Depay with cash ITB

    Thanks

Targett has to go. I'd rather have Silva in for Hazard than Depay....get Depay in for Yaya in that case. I also don't like the Ruddy Rudd combo.

Silva isn't in enough teams for me. He's not like "new and sexy" but he is just going to end up as a top three midfielder as long as he stays fit. He looks great, and he's so much cheaper than Hazard. I love him.

    Which combination from:

    a) Clyne + Cresswell (total 11M)
    b) Lovren + Jenkinson/Reid (total 10M)
    c) Gomez + Jenkinson/Reid (total 9.5M)

    Captaincy thoughts:

Memphis - Not many in my ML will have him, and nobody will captain him. Janmaat and Sissoko out for Newcastle means an entirely patchwork right side of the pitch, which could see Memphis have a monster performance. Early kickoff curse comes into play, but this could be a season defining gamble to take.

Aguero - He'll get his chances, I fancy him to score a goal in this match. Capping him is minimizing risk, but also minimizes gains to be made. It's the safe option, but it's 3rd choice for me at the moment.

Sanchez - Liverpool could be without Henderson, stats suggest Alexis will score one of his shots on target, and Ozil is simmering. I could see a big performance for Arsenal in this game, with Sanchez the main culprit.

    Anybody care to discuss?

Aguero the safe choice. Liverpool defense has looked tidy, owning Alexis is enough at this point for me. Captaining Memphis is the mad punt that could pay off but I still think Aguero is the correct pick of the litter.

Aguero is my permacaptain. The only place I would think twice about it is Stamford Bridge.

I don't think that's the best way to play this game. He won't score double digit points week in and week out, whereas every week a crop of players do just that.

To me it seems inevitable that Memphis will run rampant against Newcastle, can't see anyone slowing him down.

go Kun and never look back!

That's the way I'm leaning. Love Stokes fixtures and Soton didn't look great last week. Just know Pelle will always be around the mark and involved.
