It’s Jonty’s time to curry sympathy this week and he’s on the receiving end of a barrage of cyber-bullying from co-host Granville.

Determined to the belittle Jonty’s Wildcard performance following Callum Wilson’s hat-trick, Granville takes to Twitter before roasting him live on air on the ScoutCast. He seems to have totally missed the fact that I too sold on Wilson as part of my own Wildcard; I’m quite happy for Jonty to play Patsy on this one.

Jonty rolls with the virtual punches to join us as we look back on the Gameweek that saw all three of us refresh our squads. We score our Wildcards out of ten, before scanning the community for Gameweek tales in “Rough with the Smooth”.

We then take on your questions, as we assess Pedro’s pedigree, the lure of Aleks Kolarov and the merits of a well-rounded squad in the light of the FPL chips.

    Watford have entered the race to sign Fabio Borini from Liverpool, according to Sky in Italy.

    The 24-year-old Italian is considering a move after falling further down the Anfield pecking order following the arrival of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Divock Origi this summer.

    Sunderland and Inter Milan have also been linked with the player.

    Just logged in and read the previous comments,so let me add to the cpt debate about Kun.I know that stats and what happened in the past,a lot of times don’t mean a thing,but i find it interesting that during his EPL career,whenever MC scores 4 or more goals,Kun usually scores 1 or 2.Only once scored 3 and once 4.
    His percentage in 21 matches with MC scoring more than 4 is:
    11 with 1 (52.38%)
    8 with 2 (38.09%)
    1 with 3 (4.76 %)
    1 with 4 (4.76%

    Given Walcott's record against Newcastle, which is pretty great from memory, and the fact that he's not had a start yet - and nobody has scored less goals than Arsenal in the league so far - I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him start at the weekend.

    Am I absolutely insane to consider Ricky van Wolfswinkel?

    Pros:

    1) Might get gametime now Grabban's suspended.
    2) Jerome hasn't exactly been convincing so far.
    3) Norwich's record signing so may get another chance on that basis.
    4) Scored in the League Cup in midweek.
    5) Norwich keep failing to sign another striker.
    6) Only 5.0m so frees up funds for elsewhere.

        In the exact same position, can afford to do Depay out for Hazard but I think Pedro is offering more value for money right now and Hazard isn't getting returns of an 11.5 mil player yet, but could easily get burned against Palace tomorrow..tricky one

    Hmm so it turns out, after having a few too many drinks watching Saints' diabolical performance (and a few more after), I made my debated Payet -> Coutinho move, despite intending to wait for pressers. I hope I don't get burnt. There should be some kind of drunk test for logging onto FPL.

    I understand that a team playing poorly won't necessarily mean 0 fantasy returns buy anyone with Saints players should be planning exit routes.

    I own Targett and he has been appalling this season. Pelle isn't going to get the service this year. The only player worth having is Cedric and I think even he is over priced at 5.0.

    If Mane and Wanyama stay we will be ok but I fear a long season ahead for us. As gutting as last night was (scuppering my weekend European breaks) it may just ensure we are a premier league team for another season

          That's actually an interesting discussion in its own right especially if you look at the West Ham example too. PL 'strongest league in the world' but compare with what other teams do in the EL like Sevilla, Atletico in the past, etc.
