Last weekend saw a brace from Clint Dempsey grab the headlines in Fulham’s 2-0 win over Wigan as Mark Hughes’ side recovered from two straight league defeats to climb back into the top half of the table.

With a broken leg keeping Bobby Zamora sidelined for the next few months, Dempsey has been playing as an out-of-position forward for the Cottagers and the American has taken his chance to impress. In the six games Fulham have played since Zamora‘s Karl Henry-enforced injury, Dempsey has scored four goals and, taking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Bonus Points into the equation, has racked up a total of 41 points during this period, compared with just 6 points in the first four league games of the season. Averaging almost seven points per game up front, then, Dempsey is making a mockery of the fact his price has dropped £0.3m (from £7m to £6.7m) since the season began.

In this latest Members article, we check out Dempsey’s key Opta stats from Gameweek 10 and compare them with his Fulham strike-partner Moussa Dembele. The result is somewhat surprising…

Is a midfield of Malouda, Nasri and fabregas a ridiculous idea, or would Nasri to Cahill make more sense?

well fabs and nasri puts a lot of eggs in the Arsenal basket. Cahill or Arteta good have a good game at Blackpool so I'd swap Nasri for one of those 2

      Yes.

I'm planning on shipping Hart out soon. Probably get Fabianski as I think he'll be arsenal's permanent keeper now and pretty good odds for a cleanie once Arsenal back to reasonably full strength.

So struggling with this week. Currently thinking

    Nani & Foley> Coleman & Arteta (4 point hit)

Might struggle to get Nani back.

Other option is just Foley>90 min 4.5 or under but who for this week is not easy.

flip a coin and then do the opposite, I think if your not sure then do the one that causes the least amount of damage to your team, i.e. who do you want in 4 weeks time, like Nani but then you can't afford him. I really don't have a clue and should probably not of hit reply sorry

Odemthingy has good fixtures coming up. Hernandez is a short term fix for Man Urinal until Rooney comes back, although if that isn't for a while Hernandez will have a few good fixtures from GW14. So a tough one! I'd personally do Vidic. I expected Hernandez to score against Spurs and he didn't really look like he came close.

if u think vidic is going to score or oshea isnt going to play then go for it. Id probably wait for a free transfer at some point. However while every1 is taking hits to sort them problems out, taking a 4 point hit might not be so bad and obviously long-term ud want vidic in.

I love double match weeks!!!! Football all week long. That being said, I need advice on what to do tuesday. Tomorrow I will be taking my ulcer medication as vdv, nani, and jara sit on the bench, and i keep my fingers crossed that malouda, elmo, coleman, among others are starting.

Im too stubborn to cut any of my class players, injured or not, I will probably never be able to afford this group again. Plus it took a hit earlier in the week to get it. my team value sits at 105.4 mil with 0.0 in the bank.

So the question is, what should be my first priority:

Replace 2nd goalkeeper (stockdale) with Al-habsi; robinson is my other keeper and rovers will have back to back away games vs toons and spurs, while wigan have 2 at home in that stretch (LIV,WBA)

    OR

replace jara who will still be unavailable for two more matches after this GW (keep in mind 2 others currently on bench ,nani & vdv, unsure of their returns, risky subs), was wondering about simpson and how firm a hold he has on a starting spot for toons. only costs 3.9 so i could actually net .1

    thanks for reading my novel

You've got to cull a fantasy favorite.

      Nani, VdV, Tevez, Malouda.

One of them has to go. At least one.

I'd get rid of Nani. He's not going to play this weekend, and is doubtful for the derby. After that, he has an away game at Villa. It's not ideal, and his price will fall fast if he doesn't play since so many people have him.

Twiddling away transfers on defenders isn't going to score you points here. Injuries are injuries, and players simply don't score points if they aren't on the pitch.

This should be priority for you.

I totally disagree. The ones who get rid of Nani now are the ones who'll never amount to anything, not in FPL or in real life:) Of course, if you just got him and you won't lose much, you'd might swap him, but to desperately swap him now is just stupidity. He's the safest offensive card on the team that will probably get second this season, and he's cheap. Keep him, I'd keep all of your midfielders/strikers, and look for differentials in the back. In the end, you have a winning team! Don't be too stressed!

Since you bought Nani for £8.8m I'd just go Nani to Arteta as you won't really lose anything on the deal.

Keep Tevez as he's back in play now.

    His name is Malcom Glazer,
    he thinks he's rather flash,
he tried to buy a football team,
    but didn't have the cash,
    he borrowed lots of money,
    he made the fans distraught,
    but we're FC United,
and we won't be f*****g bought!

Nope, i reckon 2 transfers will be alot more valuable come tues night when we (possibly) no more about the extent of the injuries suffered this week plus the advantage of seeing the team sheets prior to the dead line.
Although still being in the FFS Cup it's really hard not to do one transfer!

          Mmm...

I probably would have held a transfer in your case, but I might struggle for 11 this week, so made the Nani > Arteta move.

Ah, i was gonna ask who you shipped out/in. I reckon i can scrape through this week as 5-2-3 'hopefully' It's more the cup i'm worried about but priority is obviously the league. Fabregas captain?

      VdV should be back midweek.

Nani is doubtful. I'll actually stick my head out here and say he won't play in the derby either.

      Yes.

But I get the feeling that both will be back within a fortnight.

Enough time for Bale to do serious damage in those lovely 2 home games and also just in time for Nani to come back to 2 back to back home games with Wigan and Blackburn, followed by a trip to Blackpool the week after.

    foster
    Coleman, Elmo, Williamson
    Albrighton,Fabs(c), Bale, Malouda
    Drogma, Carrol, Tevez
    Subs (Carson, Konchelsky, Nani, Jara)

Personally, I don't see the benefit of saving transfers if you think the player you can get in this week has a tasty matchup and will get you enough points to cover the hit.

You get a freebie next week anyway regardless of how many transfers you make this week.

After week 1 this season I declined getting Malouda or Drogba because I wanted to have 2 free transfers in GW3. Yay, I had me my 2 freebies in GW3 but I missed out on 22 points by not getting those players and taking a hit for them after GW1.

Look how much better off I would be now if I'd have done those moves instead of thinking I ws clever saving my free transfer.

Next try: Sorry guys for asking this again:

Have to play Vaughan this week, but can’t see him getting more than 2 points. Is someone worth taking a hit this week? Brunt, Adam, Song, Parker?

    Cheers

If anyone of those i'd say it's Adam that will be the best move for you.

      I think Brunt will be/was a 2 week wonder.

Parker in GW's 12 and 13 is definitely a good shout but not this GW. Song has a knock. You may want to upgrade Vaughan to Adam anyway so now may be a good time to do that.

to be honest, I see it the other way round. Adam relies on Pens and BPs whereas Brunt is the more consistent player of them.

should have done nani > arty for free and held back on your first one. Duno if its worth -4 to be honest. I'm in the same boat as you with Konch v Shawx and prob will play shawx since I have no sundy attack and konch will just get cancelled out by Drogs and Mal if he plays

Your doing far better then me, so you tell me. Im thinking its only matter of time before Arteta starts coining in the assists/goals to go with his bonus points so prob Arteta just but only just. Cahill being a forward and injury free is bugging me though!

think i may flip a coin. arteta's hamstring could cause him probs (altho fit) playing 3x90 minutes in quick succession. lets just go cahill and be done with it!

          nani out.
