After scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists in his maiden campaign in the Premier League, hopes were high for Alexis Sanchez coming into the new season, despite concerns over the Chilean’s fitness levels after his exploits for his country in this summer’s Copa America.

With just a single assist to show from the first four Gameweeks, though, many of Sanchez’ 12% ownership in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) will soon start questioning whether the Arsenal attacker is worth his considerable 11.0 price tag. In this ‘Monitor’ article for members, we compare the former Barcelona man’s underlying statistics from last season to this in order to ascertain just why he is failing to live up to his 2014/15 exploits.

Let me follow this question up with another question... who will keep more cleanies this season, Soton or Spurs?

      Another close one.

Southampton I think, van Dijk and Bertrand back will only improve their defence

Southampton. Spurs defence is on the 'never again' list, right up there with Lukaku.

I'd say that this is more similar since the tactics are very similar between the two teams. I'd say spurs at the end of the day because they have more experience playing together. Soton changed 2 of the back 4 and their goalkeeper is also out. Spurs have only changed one of the back four and still have their same keeper from last year. Also with mason and the extra protection from dier in front of them, it would be hard to see how they can concede many goals. They just won't score as much.

Exactly how urgent is it to have a City defender atm?

    I`ve got Clyne - Cedric - Azpi - Huth - O`shea

Worth doing Azpi -> Kolarov? Or just save?

i didn't say it would happen or that Reus would want to go to them. Just that Utd stalled on Pedro even though he is atm a much better player than Martial is and much cheaper

The news that reported this report the amount in euros because, you know, £ is used in the UK only, and plus it wouldn't be £60m since they've only paid £36m for now.

Debating a Spurs or Swans defender...

Swans have Naughton and Williams. Both seem quite boring to me.

Spurs have Alderweireld who appears to be a bonus point magnet, the inconsistent Kyle Walker, and the rotation risk Danny Rose.

I'm leaning toward Toby, what what you do?

    Defense is:

    Kompany - Shaw - Gomez - Oxford - Delaney

Why set on Spurs defender in particular? Spurs defence isn't exactly going to get you many points.

i'd say Williams or Naughton both good picks, I particularly like Williams for consistency of points (nice amount of bonus too)

Even though Spurs will keep more clean sheets this season than swansea in my opinion, I think you should go for Williams for now because of their upcoming fixtures for the swans and the high morale within the team.

Players I want to swap out over the next few weeks. Lecott, Sagna, Payet, Mane, Wilson.

Some of these are down to form and some are down to the end of favourable fixtures &injuries. I wonder how long I can avoid a hit for?

A lot of talk about Alexis vs Aguero (C), my opinion is that it's more risky to go with Sanchez as most will probably be going for Aguero. At the same time Aguero is a forward and Sanchez a midfielder, so if both score one, Sanchez is probably going to get more points.
