    Hi,

    Im the bloke that used to pop on every day and was a very active part of the community for a few years. It was a blessing because at that time because I had health issues that had me laid up in bed more often than not. Then, I was able to get treatment that allowed me to work again, but the tradeoff was, I couldnt spend the same kind of time on the board here. What I don't understand is why 90% of my posts are not replied to by anyone these days. Is there a moratorium on engaging me here in the community or something? Surely, not every post I've left is irrelevant. In fact, the last post before today was on Friday, and I brought up Sadio Mane and wanted to discuss what the precedent was for a player who is absent from intl duty up until the day before matchday, and it got nothing. What happens? --- Mane doesn't start. So I guess it was relevant. Anyway, its clear whatever credibility or relevance I may have had a few years ago is clearly gone now. Its sad, Im not gonna lie. But I cannot continue to pop in and post a topic only to be summarily ignored time and again. It simply isn't healthy for one's ego. So I am retiring from the board. Up until the past two years, I really enjoyed my time here and engaging discussion in all things footy (and plenty of non-footy topics as well). Thanks for the memories. May your arrows be green.

Most people on here only listen to a few people and said they would love a block filter so maybe they should do a forum of Mark Granny and Doosra's tables.       Pages and pages of boring RMTs or worse "Who'll win, me or my rival?" type garbage. Any post of interest (like yours) quickly drifts into history. Then whenever someone tries to bring up a topic with an in depth analysis they get tl:dr responses or none at all.

      Separate threads for RMTs would help and possibly making more articles member only. Maybe a 'hide long posts' button for the ADD crowd so they have no excuse for the "tl:dr" whines.

      So sorry to hear that you may not post again. You've been a integral part of this community for a number of years, and continue to do so this season. You are the current leader in out Scout Picks competition, with no one yet to come close to your 12 pt lead over us. Also for years you've always been on hand to offer advice for the community and also on the site itself.

      And most of all your battle with serious illness provided us with one of our most memorable scout casts where we told the listeners about how your friend kept your team going during those tough times.

      I guess with your post on Friday lot of things were at play to conspire against people commenting. One was that Fridays are and always have been FFSCout's busiest days. Pages can move quickly, but that's always been the case. We have some tools to help with that. One is the flag button - its not just there for telling us about abuse posts - it is also there to ask us to hot topic things, or answer them even. We are getting more of those now thanks to a post by Andy85 on that a while back which is great. Please do use that in future. In addition tp posts by vote and hot topic can be found by the sort topics by function just underneath the article.

      Another factor is that Mane is not well owned by many now due to other cheaper options in midfield and form, except for his good game in gwk 4.

      But if it'd been flagged up to me I'd have definitely hot topiced it as the theme of international fatigue is a good one. I myself would have joined in with my own international issue of whether Hoolahan would have started given his international games.

      So I hope you stay and I hope some of the above will help you and others to ensure your posts do get noticed.

      It is still a friendly vibrant community. More so I'd say. The recent outpouring of sentiment when Doosra was ill and Absinthe passed away is testament to that. If your health problems were happening now the same would happen for you, as it did then. That comradarie around the game we love and this community that has grown dramatically over the years has not changed.

      For those that are new to the site this is FuzzyWarbles - he's the best community scout picker this season.

    Play Payet or Redmond this week?

    Obviously Payet is the better player and more central to his team, but he's away to the immovable object that is man city whereas redmond will be on the same wing as either Gomez or Moreno, either of which could be potentially torn apart by Redmond
