As always, we delve into the Gameweek 5 data in our first members article of the week. Arsenal’s midfield and Leicester’s form pair arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over Everton and West Ham’s playmakers after both guided their respective sides to victory.

Kolarov PulisDefender and Williams/Bellerin for the first 3 spots look the best options for me.. Nyom could be worth it as a benchable 4th defender though

I have Kolarov and Williams as my other 2. I was looking at WBA, but I can only see 2 clean sheets in the next 6 potentially AVL/SUN.

I'd bet on them and City getting the highest number of CS's over the next 6 games tbh

And anyway.. Watford get CS's at home and their next 4 home games are tough! Cant see more than a CS or two over the next 8 games for them

I'm getting a little put off Watford defenders now. Their decent fixtures seem to be away from home, where I can't see a huge amount of cleansheets. I'd certainly expect Newcastle, Bournemouth & Stoke to score against them

Guardian reporting he got a minor thigh injury either during training yesterday or at the weekend.. then some random websites which are now considered sources picked it up and said Pedro's out of tonights game with an injury.. Then the Chelsea fan forum picked that up and panicked and said "Pedro is injured! FML!! And we have Arsenal this weekend!" ... then the FFScout forum picked it up and said "Pedro is injured and out for the Arsenal game!!"

Looks good. Not sure if Chelsea will sort out their defense anytime soon so Begovic could be the weak link although he's good value at 5.0. Maybe switch to Butland for Stoke's good run of fixtures and save points?

Targett - will soon be out of starting line-up, try a Wartford defender
      Sterling - YYT safer

Didn't think of Dawson before, good option...
I had Shaw, switched him tot Darmian and then to Skrtel. Not too sure who I want more.
I think Silva is great, but I prefer Sterling at 8.9.
Vardy is a good option, but my frontline is solid IMO.
Payet just doesn't fit in, although I want him as well....!

How come when you go into the members area and look for some info on teams, the corresponding colour next to the team name doesn't match up with the team?

I.e. Liverpool have a white circle, City have an orange, Newcastle - blue, Spurs - red and white?

    etc.

2ft only 0,1 in the bank and no buring issues.

Hazard -> Sanchez and Coates -> Cathcard decent? (Will bench Cathcard this gw and play him the next.)

    Rest of team:
    Fabianski (Schmeichel)

I use bits and pieces of the members area but taking a look at the team stats for the first time this morning. Cracking set of info there!

Really surprised at the teams who have conceded the most chances

And United being down there amongst the least crosses conceded on both flanks - highlights how much of a loss, loosing Shaw is going to be.

        Yeah

Blind will I think still offer stability to the left back position - remember last year, he was very impressive as a LB.

He won't offer that attacking ability though, his legs can't move fast enough to get up and back. Teams with pace can now look exploit the left side.

That said, his reading of the game is superb.

My worry is the new CB pairing. Smalling and Blind quite simply has worked so far. Not sure what Rojo will bring - will it unsettle Smalling? Blind was the passer of the two, can Rojo do that?

            No chance
Darmian needs to stay at RB

Okay my team with 2 FT's this game week:

    Mignolet (Hennessey)
    Jagielka-Kolarov-Cedric-Gomez-Mariappa
    Hazard-Payet-Westwood-Milner-Mahrez
    Costa-Aguero-Wilson

I was thinking 1) Hazard out, Sanchez in & 2) Milner out, Barkley in

Which might set me up for Jagielka for Cresswell next week (since WHU not great matchup this week).

Would appreciate any help from you FFS experts!! Many thanks in advance!!!

ps. not sure if Randolph will hold his spot over Adrian but going forward from gw7, but could switch out Mignolet, gain some cash...

So you would do Coutinho, even though I would be planning him out after the 2 games?

My preseason RMT strikeforce that I was bigging up of Aguero, Wilson, Ighalo wouldn't be looking too bad now if I'd actually stuck with it.. Think Ighalo willcarry on getting quite a few goals this season. Always thought he was a better option than Deeney.

Evs among others. Maybe double City defense is the way to go..?

Who else you seen selling him? What were their reasons? He came so close to scoring v Palace and with Aguero not 100% fit, he will likely not finish games giving Yaya penalty duties all over again.

Kompany out probably not as great to double up now.

Is shaw price protected at all?

Varies. Used to be when flagged Target for Net transfer out increased, but last season players became protected when flagged. Assuming and hoping that continues

        Ok. Thanks for the response.

Can't decide whether i should dump Huth first to avoid a potential price drop or to shift Shaw as at least Huth is nailed.

Similar boat and Im getting rid of Morgan first. Looks closer to a drop than Shaw anyway

2xFT to sort out defence I think:

    Shaw - Gomez - Kolorov - Williams - Richards
    Payet - Mahrez - Pedro - Sanchez - Westwood
    Aguero - Gomis - Lukaku

    06. ITB

Shaw + Gomez out to Dawson + 5.6, or just Shaw out and save a FT?

Mad getting rid of Gomez for his next two fixtures..

Was possibly going to replace with a different LIV defence to ensure start in next 2.. Right probably to keep Gomez though.

Keep Gomez for now. If he keeps his place, the next two fixtures look good, if he's dropped, you kan always sell him next week.

Despite the two goals, I think I'm going to bench Payet this week!

    Butland,
    cedric, francis, Kompany
    De Bruyne, Chadli, Mahrez, Ayew,
    Aguero, Wilson, Gomis

    Ruddy, Payet, Huth, Azpilcueta,

Madness? City are simply not letting in goals, is he really more likely to score than Chadli against Crystal Palace?

Shaws injury obviously forcing a lot of owners to look elsewhere. Assuming everyone has a city defender and that they are on top of the pecking order, what would be the preference in the best of the rest? Mine in order would be

    Dawson (5)
    Creswell (5.5)
    Williams (5)
    Francis (4.5)
    Nyom (4.5)

Love to know what others think

Lookking to replace Mings rather than Shaw, but neverthelss. Find it really difficult to identify the best defensive replacement, but I'd think in this order:

Williams - good team, OK fixtures. but do they do clean sheets?
Dawson - best team defensively, but fixtures not that good.
Francis - attacking threat, plum fixtures, but leaky team.
Bellerin - good tion long term, but upcoming fixtures not the best
Cresswell - good player, ggood fixtures, but can West Ham be trusted for clean sheets?
Azpi - surely Chelsea will turn it around - and after Arsenal, their fixtures coulnd't be better right up until Christmas
