Gameweek 6 is rounded off with a pair of tea-time encounters. Liverpool host Norwich City in the wake of successive defeats, while Southampton duke it out with Manchester United at St Mary’s Stadium.

Only Newcastle (two) have tallied fewer goals than the Reds (three) this campaign, yet the Canaries’ visit could be the perfect antidote for their impotence, given that they’ve rattled 21 goals past the Norfolk outfit in their past five meetings – albeit largely due to the influence of the departed Luis Suarez. At the back, Liverpool have shipped six goals in their previous two outings so need to turn out a diligence performance at Anfield to renew our confidence in their defensive recruits.

Norwich rank in the top four with regards to goals (eight) and big chances (11) this season, illustrating the budget potential of their attacking assets. Alex Neil will be keen to tighten up at the back, however, considering that his charges place joint-third for goals conceded (nine) and joint-fourth for big chances conceded (nine). The fact that Norwich are yet to register a clean sheet will serve as motivation for Liverpool’s misfiring forward line.

Southampton go into the meeting with United desperate for three points having recorded just two wins in their last eleven league outings. Goals are the main issue for Ronald Koeman’s men having blanked in the last four: the Saints have converted just 6% of their on their attempts on goal. Defensively, however, Southampton are in the ascendency, having claimed three consecutive shut-outs – only Man City have allowed fewer shots in the box than Koeman’s defence thus far.

Manchester United will need to find a cutting edge to break the Saints’ resistance, having found three goals against Liverpool last weekend to double their league tally. Louis van Gaal’s side have dominated possession in matches, without carving out gilt-edged opportunities. Indeed, with just five big chances to their name, only West Brom and Newcastle have proved less potent in that respect.

Before today, Spurs had scored just 18 goals in the 17 games Eriksen had missed since signing for them. And he assists the winning goal when coming on today.

Anyone else tempted by Dier (5.0)?

Looks nailed on this season and is playing as a holding midfielder in front of the back 4. He has already scored a goal and last season showed he has excellent attacking potential. In the position he is playing, he has also picked up some BAPS. Spurs don't tend to score many goals, just the odd one or two per game, which suits him nicely bonus wise.

Spurs have looked solid at the back and have kept 3 consecutive clean sheets now. Always rated Lloris as a keeper but now with essentially 5 defenders in from of him their defence seems worthy of an investment.

Doubt he will given their defensive form.

Even so, he can slot back into the back 4 if needs be. That's why I liked Gomez (and Chambers last season) as punts, since they could play a few positions thus increasing potential game time.

These are some of the decisions I had to make for daily fantasy (Draftkings) today in which each shot, shot on goal, and crosses are credited with 1 pt each.

    A goal is 12 points (10 for goal + 1 shot + 1 SOG)

    Interested in some opinions.

Will Schneiderlin score or assist against his old club? Yes or No

Both from open play and set pieces, who will put in more crosses? Tadic or Memphis?

Will Sturridge be motivated or rusty?

Which of the following is more likely to score:

Mane or Pelle? Benteke or Sturridge? Martial or Rooney?

    Thanks in advance!

      Cue Darmian Red Card

    10. Jar Jar Dinks

I have 2 FTs and this team:

      Butland - McCarthy
      Kolarov - Darmian - Cresswell - Gomez - Richards
      Sanchez - Silva - Ayew - Mahrez - Westwood
      Kun - Gomis - Wilson

I was thinking of getting WBA defender and Payet/Chelsea mid and transfering out Darmian and Silva/Sanchez.

I will keep Darmian for the next fixture against Sunderland whilst WBA has Everton and then do the switch.

This leaves the midfield transfer for this week.
Getting rid of Silva seems tempting since they are playing against Tottenham.
The decision between Silva / Sanchez feels like a coin flip really.
I feel safer getting rid of Silva so that's probably what I'll do.

But who should replace Silva? Payet, Hazard, ...?
