        I can afford to bring him in for Wilson with one transfer, he looked sharp against Villa and he proved last year that he is a good FPL pick. Plus he has some nice fixtures!

      He is a good replacement. I considered him my self to pair with Payet, but in the end I just feel that Leicester are an all out attacking team and was more keen to double up on their attacking assets.

    There are quite a few people asking this evening how you know whether a fall in price for player will result in a reduction in the selling price for your FPL team.

    To work this out:
    1) click on the 'Data View' tab on the transfer page of your FPL account

    2) take away the 'Purchase Price' (PP) figure from the 'Current Price' (CP) figure, using the columns on the 'Data View' tab

    3) if the amount that remains is an *odd* number, then the next price fall *won't* affect your selling price

    4) if the amount that remains is an *even* number, then the next price fall for that player *will* affect your selling price

    Say for example you bought Wilson of Bournemouth at £5.4m. Deducting this purchase price (5.4) from the current price (£6.0m) gives you an even number (0.6), so the next fall *will* reduce your selling price (SP) from £5.7m to £5.6m.

    But if you had bought Wilson at £5.5m, deducting this purchase price from the current price (6.0) gives you an odd number (£0.5m), so the next fall *will not* reduce your selling price.

      HOWEVER, if the Current Price is less than or equal to your Purchase Price, then the next price fall will ALWAYS affect your Selling Price.

      And there is a similar set of rules governing whether a price RISE will affect your Selling Price.

        This a great post for people new to the game or just starting to take the game seriously, last year in my 3rd season but first playing properly season I completely messed up my wildcard having not had a clue about selling value, was confused when my team value dropped so much at end of the week. Good on for you for posting this, another handy article for new players that are just starting to take the game seriously would be how to manage a wildcard, this article goes some way towards that and I really think this will be a great help to quite a few people.
