Forget two fat ladies, in ScoutCast Bingo it’s all about three men with paunches chatting Fantasy Football fortunes, rattling out a few familiar clichés along the way.

Thanks to Numb’s witty community contribution, this week’s episode finds us gripping our dabbers in preparation for mispronunciations, dropped connections and a regular helping of “blimeys”.

Around those fun and games, we tackle the serious matters – assessing the merits of Sergio Aguero, Callum Wilson’s replacements and my range of Christmas jumpers.

All those hard-hitting issues are addressed via another round of community questions, following on from our review of Gameweek 7 as Granville fights the urge to gloat having opened up a 40 point lead over yours truly.

This episode of the ScoutCast was broadcast live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening. You can view the full Google Hangout on the larger player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Time to offload Gomis?
If yes, then whom to buy for this week?

    Thanks in advance! 🙂

I'm keeping for one more game at least, but don't know. Have a look at the watchlist. You'll find plenty of options there 😉

      Yes.

Vardy or Sakho probably. There are a number of good options in the 6.5M price bracket.

If you have a bit of cash in the bank, maybe Pelle

Not for me. 6 good attacking games in a row with 4 at home = keep unless injured/dropped.

So I'm between these 3 moves this week:

    A) Stick
    B) Pedro -> Wally (-4)
    C) Pedro -> Silva (-4)

    Ruddy
    Kolarov, Bellerin, Huth
    Sanchez, Mane, Pedro, Mahrez, Sinclair
    Aguero, Vardy

    Rudd, Pelle, Coates, Targett
    Bank 0.6m, 0FT

If I don't do B) then I will likely do Pedro/Silva -> Wally in GW10. So it kind of comes down to this:

    A) Pedro (SOT, AVL) + 4 points
    B) Silva (NEW, BOU)
    C) Walcott (MUN, wat) + 1.0m + an extra free transfer

Cheers. Yeah, pretty sure I'll be getting Walcott for GW10 at the latest - massive goal threat plus I'm going to the EVE game 🙂

You think Pedro starts this week? Concerned that he could get the chop after a few average performances.

If Yaya is out, take him out for a hit and who is the best replacement?

    A) Mata (horrible fixtures, but now on penos?)
    B) KDB (if Silva is back won't be able to hog the ball as in previous games)
    C) Hazard (worth it to keep the faith?)
    D) Walcott (have Sanchez, Walcott is obviously great if he plays, but will he again be just a string of cameos)
    E) Mane (is gametime guaranteed now?)
    F) Silva (is he fit?)

Already have Sanchez, Payet, Mahrez, Redmond. And had Walcott, Mane and Hazard at the start of the season.

    Sanchez, KDB, Mahrez, Payet, Hoolahan
    Aguero, Martial, Ighalo

Worth playing AOA this week or alternatively who to drop? My defence is Kolarov, Richards, Dawson...and then Muniesa who has been dropped and Ward who is injured.

@Jafalad Cant get walcott mane or mata in the team as a 5th mid unless i get rid of aguero which can't happen this week with newcaslte @home

@A defender's nightmare - He hasn't performed with good fixtures, is a risk and yaya also a risk so surely can't keep ?

@Al Bundy - It s gw 8 so maybe soton is the way to go haha

Time to play the AOA chip? With Reid's injury, Gomez dropped and not wanting to play Darmian, I don't have a great defence but I do have Hoolahan as my fifth mid, and he has a good fixture.

What are people's thoughts on the AOA chip? Play it on a week like this or save it for a post- or pre-WC week?

Depends how many double gameweeks you think we're going to have, given it's the least effective of the chips...

    2. CC22
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 14 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

I'm considering playing it myself this week. I think having Hoolahan as a fifth kid makes it very tempting. Got a front 8 of:

      Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mahrez, Hoolahan
      Aguero, Martial, Ighalo.

Whereas my defence is weak with Muniesa dropped and Ward injured.

      1. Hect.OR 98th
        • 16 Years
        10 years, 2 months ago

I think I'll play it. There is a risk of Hoolahan being rested and the chip going to waste, but I'm not convinced of its value anyway.

Yeah, Hoolahan getting rested is the worry but I'm thinking the same. I don't think I'd ever play the AOA chip for a DGW any way because the other chips are better and quite often defenders score heavily in DGW's.

    3. Link
      • 15 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

I think that chip is best for times like this. Bad defence and good fixture for attackign sub...why not?

In the double weeks you're going to want to play the other chips anyway.

WC team here gents - any pointers?

    Begovic - Henessey
    Kolarov - Bellerin - Williams - Evans - Nyom
    Sanchez - Mata - Payet - Mahrez - Westwood
    Aguero - Lukaku - Sakho

Happy with double hammers for Sunderland - will then likely switch Sakho to one of the various budget strikers.

Williams still worth hanging on to? Was looking at Janmaat too....

Roberto Martinez is speaking to the media ahead of the Liverpool derby.

Asked about the fitness of John Stones and Seamus Coleman: "It's too early to tell, they're progressing well but in their next two sessions we'll get an idea. Clearly we'll make a decision as late as we can"

    a) Bench Wilson and play Richards (STK)

    or

    b) Transfer Wilson ➡ one of: Gestede / Murray / Bojan / Deeney / Ighalo / Gayle

    If b) which striker?

Just had a look at KDB's stats about 15 minutes ago. He looks terrible value to me...shots in the box....

He never has shots in the box, even for Wolfsburg 😛

Well, his technique is not in Yaya's class, so ...

Only with the naked eye. I won't be buying Sterling for this season at least.

I don't need to. I've seen him play. And anyway are you sure his shots in the box are actually shots, or is he merely passing to the opposing keeper in a rather feeble way?

I have now, first time I've used the comparison tool too. Any particular section that you're looking at?

Any and all, EXCEPT ICT, which is just bollocks, imo.

Ooh, good to know, thanks! (I did think the ICT seemed to be saying something different to the rest of the stats)

    Who would you captain?

    Butland
    Kolarov - Zouma - Hangalaand
    Sanchez - Hazard - Mahrez - Payet
    Aguero - Diouf - Martial
