After delving into the Gameweek 5-8 data for Defenders yesterday afternoon, we now set our sights on the midfielders. Arsenal’s in-form duo arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over City and West Ham’s summer signings and analyse the recent displays of Southampton’s wide men as the fixtures turn in their favour.

NFL referees are almost as bad as UEFA ones. How is that not roughing the passer on Walden on that last play?

I'll never forget the Fail Mary, one of the shoddiest calls I've ever seen in sports. The NFL is ridiculous at this point.

Did you see the play on Monday that basically cost the Lions the game? Embarrassing for the integrity of the league.

1467 transfers out for Aguero so far..

A lot of people may be forced in to a U Turn.
    Anybody here shift him yet..

Lukaku, Pelle, Costa, Bony likely replacements..

Can see some AoA chips being used effectively this week with a hit or two if Aguero is out.

Aguero to Pelle/Lukaku frees up some good change for a midfielder/3rd striker upgrade for a one week AoA punt I guess.

Possibly.. but the fixtures dont seem favourable for this kind of move.
Maybe a DGW would be better.

Waiting. Don't have a clue who I'll replace him with though. We'll certainly be seeing a few captain differentials next week

He helped me move up over a Million in Rank this last GW..
Maybe this injury could be a blessing in disguise tho to move further up the rankings faster with more differentials.

Saying that it could be a disaster! Haha
It opens things up a bit either way for good or bad.

      Payet, Silva, Sanchez, Mahrez, Westwood
      Aguero, Pelle, Ighalo.

      Aguero to Pelle
      Westwood to Wally -4

Worst part about this injury to Aguero is the inpact it will have on Silva.

    People with WC still left...
If Aguero is out for a bit would you use your WC to get him out and make a new team without him?
or swap him out for a hit/free and use the WC later to get him in when he is fit? 🙂

    1. Marknlard
      • 16 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

If I was on WC, I'd wait and see how he's doing. If it looks like three gameweeks out then I'd transfer him out and reinvest the money.

I'm waiting until next Friday to decide whether to play the WC or not.. not really bothered about price rises. Agreed though.. 3 weeks and he is out for me. The question is whether to play the WC to get rid and reinvest or take a hit to get rid and play my WC when he returns to get him back in without having to restructure my team.. gonna be tricky

How about upgrading your 5th mid and playing 3-5-2 if he's out for a while?

        2. Marknlard
          • 16 Years
          10 years, 2 months ago

Depending on how he is of course, but if I were you I'd take the hit now to get rid of him as Lukaku/Pelle (whoever you get) is going to earn that back. Slowly reinvest and play the WC when you want him again.

    2. Coldplay
      • 13 Years

Him to Igloo and 4.5 mid to De Bruyne sounds like a plan for a hit. Don't think I'd be using my WC.

      • 14 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

Currently playing my WC. If he's out for 2 weeks (will only miss 1 league game) then I'll swap him out with money in the bank to bring him in for free. If hes out for 3+ then I'll make a new team and hopefully be able to save 2FT to bring him in for free later.....

    Kolarov, Williams, Dawson
    Hazard, Ozil, Payet, Mahrez
    Aguero*, Pelle, Diouf*

    McCarthy, Ritchie, Richards, Targett

Pretty confident and comfortable about taking a hit. Thinking Aguero + Diouf -> Costa + Lukaku. Anything better there? Maybe a Ritchie upgrade?

Any Kun owners with a used FT or a hit?

It's always risky to make transfers before internationals. Never a fan of it, sod price rises.

Believe me man as far this season has started, I have everything but luck on my side! So bad start that my goal has been reduced to top 10k finish rather than 1k i had aimed at the start

I know its an international break and all but the worst thing you can do is knee-jerk Aguero out now. Wait for news, for all we know he might only be out for 1 game.

      Goes without saying, eh? 😉

Saving those FT's in the IB is so crucial.

A FT and money in the bank is no good to you if Aguero is out short term as you won't replace him.

Of course. We love Wales in NZ. They beat England and Gatland is a kiwi

              Yeah, they are looking sharp.

Good scrum, excellent backs.... but at least Hooper is banned.

And we have Gareth Anscombe playing at full back due to injuries.

Ex Waikato Chief of course 🙂

Of course, great player. His dad used to coach Northland, the provincial team I support back home.

              Ahh, I see.

I would have preferred Liam Williams at full back if I am homer but, we have only 2 fit wingers and less centres so Geroge has been pushed inside form the wing, and Liam switched With Halpenny injured also.

I'll be interested to see how he goes, NZ rugby was sad to see him go. I would have liked him to stay as a fly half or full back at the blues but nevermind.

He highly rated over with you guys isn't he?

He hasn't really taken off yet in Cardiff, it the team is struggling and he's been hit by a few injuries in fairness.

He was a natural talent when he left. Its up to him to fulfil it.
