After delving into the Gameweek 5-8 data for Defenders yesterday afternoon, we now set our sights on the midfielders. Arsenal’s in-form duo arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over City and West Ham’s summer signings and analyse the recent displays of Southampton’s wide men as the fixtures turn in their favour.

We don't even know the extent of Aguero's injury yet. Why can't we all just take a deep breath, wait a couple of days for news and then think about the transfer options if they're required. It gets a bit boring on here when every comment is pretty much a version of "Is Aguero for Pelle/Lukaku/Sturridge etc a good idea?"

No need to freak out just yet.

I dread to think just how many people already bought Aguero after those 5 goals, even more so how many took hits in an international week.

What's everyone's plans with Aguero? Anything less than a few weeks out and I think I'll keep. It's too difficult to get him back in unless you keep the money in the bank. I can't do that in real life, never mind with fantasy money!

Long term injury and I'm looking at maybe Pelle and sorting out my defence.

    1. Surezh06
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

benching next GW.. and if the injury is serious will ship him out and go with 3-5-2 with sanchez, hazard, mane,KDB,payet or mahrez combo with vardy and pelle at top

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I could actually do Aguero and Westwood to Pelle and Mané, have a decent front right and give myself the option of a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3. Selection headaches though.

    2. Pasqualinho
      • 16 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

He's only gone up 0.3. It's not like the old days where you'd have to wait a month before he's back at your selling price. He'll more than likely be back there in one GW.

      1. KOLASINA(C)
        • 10 Years
        10 years, 2 months ago

This, I'm not even benching him, if he won't be able to play it's okay, if he will, that's even better. Calm down people.

        1. Black Knights
          • 13 Years

Pasqualinho is saying his price will be back at selling price after one GW, not Aguero himself.

Not just talking about the profit though. If I sell Aguero for Pelle I'm not going to keep five million in the bank for any length of time. So, in a few weeks I'd be taking hits to bring him back in.

3-5-2 set up with Aguero on the bench if he's only out for 2/3weeks. So many good midfielders vying for our team, and need to make defence changes, why waste 2 transfers getting Aguero out then in again in a few weeks.

So log on to FFS to learn of the Aguero news. Strangely last night I was thinking Pelle, Martial & Lukaku front line would be quite 'tasty' in fantasy terms & £2m cheaper than my current attack of Aguero, Martial & Ighalo.

Might just get to find out now.

    Ideal front 3?

    Costa Martial Bony

    Covers United City and Chelsea.

Bit hard to day really. Defintely wouldn't have Bony. I'm condiering Costa, and I reckon Vardy should be in there. Pelle v Martial is tough

Good news there. I've been suffering a succession of gameweeks with double injuries so could do without another one. Especially with Saylor/Gomez still to deal with.

I love international break. As it stands i have three players showing yellow, two on amber and one red. Used my wc, lost value on Pedro and Toure. Only positive not made my transfers 😉

Aguero being out will separate the men from the boys!

Boys will panic and whine, Men will savour the challenge and prosper!

Will wait a day or two, until it is clearer, but plannning on Kun >Pelle. Other fw are Vardy and Ighalo.
    1. Better options out there?
    2. With money available thinking of Ayew > Walcott. Worth a - 4?

Ladies and gentlemen. I return from a trip to the future in my marvellous patented time machine. I spent this endeavour not researching the wonders of the creation of life on Earth, nor visiting Palestine to witness the crucifixion, nor even to get a sports almanac to make me untold gambling wealth. No, I went on more noble mission: to calm the panic in the souls of FFS readers. Thus I travelled into the future, and asked an ageing Sergio Aguero about the hamstring injury he suffered in 2015. He was a little bemused: surely if I had travelled so far and so long, I would want to know something of real import. Something that could save the lives of millions of innocents. I said: "Kun, if I may call you that, in my own small way I feel I am doing something important". He then said that he made a brief appearance against Bournemouth from the bench, picking up an assist, and then 90 mins in the next match (he couldn't remember the opposition), where he scored a brace.

Can we please stop talking about whether he'll be OK now?

We didn't talk about European football. Repeated failures led to Pellegrini slowly losing his mind, and ending up wandering the streets of Manchester smoking roll-ups and drinking cans of K cider whilst mumbling about pigeons. It was all too painful for Aguero to talk about.
