Our delve into the Gameweek 9 data comes around tonight, as we cast an eye over City’s weekend goal heroes in our first members article of the week. Arsenal’s midfield differentials and Newcastle’s four-goal Dutchman are on our radar, whilst we also asses a couple of overlooked recruits for our five-man backlines ahead of the weekend deadline.

    Morning gents, anything better than this plan?

    GW10: Mane -> Wally/Ozil
    GW11: Wildcard

    With my squad (i.e. Awful keepers and bench and no EVE/MUN/MCY etc) I feel like I need to WC in GW11, which means I have a transfer to use this week. I'm also going to the ARS vs EVE game so would quite like triple ARS for that.

    Ruddy
    Bellerin, Azpil, Huth
    Sanchez, Haz, Mane, Mahrez
    Costa, Pelle, Vardy

    Rudd, Sinclair, Coates, Targett
    Bank 0.8m, 1FT

      What about Mane to Wijnaldum and then reassess after the GW10? Otherwise you're putting all eggs in one basket.

        Cheers. You think he's a better option of all mids this week?

        Since it's a 1 week gamble only I was think probably Mane or Pelle should go (as they are away at Anfield), but I would lose a bit of value in Pelle.

            That's a good idea - Spurs are unpredictable but he does look in decent form. Will take a closer look!

              Many others yesterday liked him as a punt. It's Bournemouth he plays after all 😉

            Considering Eriksen myself..

            Though I don't rate Spurs' next six much highly and having Eriksen is patience test but his open play stats are shouting out loud and its Bournemouth next.

              With Son and Chadli out there's also less chance of him losing minutes as well.

              I expect the onus will be on Eriksen to be tucked up right behind Kane so yeah he is very tempting.

      Postpone WC a week or two perhaps if possible, till the next internationals maybe.

        Not sure my squad can wait that long!

        Mane likely comes back in on the WC so I'd only be losing him for liv away.

              Thing is, that'd mean more hits are needed or is have no MCY players for NOR, no EVE players for SUN, and no bench cover in case any of my 3 defenders don't start (oh and Huth looks a poor pick anyway).

              I did look at a GW14 WC, but I'm not sure there is much value in waiting - I'd want most of the same players anyway.

                  Yeah, I'm thinking triple MCY and 1-2 EVE.

                  If KDB had a better fixture then he'd be a shoe in, I just think LVG will set MUN up to be fairly compact (wont want to get hammered at home by their rivals) so I'm not sure there will be many goals in this one (despite history saying otherwise).

                  If Haz sounds like he's getting dropped again this week then KDB is certainly an option.

        Yeah, Haz out is also tempting but surely he comes back in this week? It's not as if they were convincing without him. And WHU are pretty loose defensively at home.

        I agree that Mane is a good pick and he'd likely come back in my WC next week. Ozil looks in great form and is nailed on for 90 mins, whereas Walcott has that potential to score huge and also get pulled at 60 mins. I think Ozil is the better play right now.

          With Haz after the recent talk by mou you will always be worried and furthermore he hasn't even performed well. I'd sell. Mane guaranteed starts and more attacking than Haz right now anyway

            Yeah, Haz is definitely out on my WC. Bringing him in for a hit and giving him the armband last week was a dreadful move!

            If he starts this week though (which I think he will) then I think he has a higher ceiling than Mane away at a new look LIV team. Klopp's first game at Anfield - I expect them to be at it.

    a) Gomis -> Bony/Lukaku
    b) Westwood -> Özil (play 3-5-2/benching dilemma)
    c) Save

    Was originally going to switch Kola, so my defence is now good. Play Kola or Richards?

    Butland
    Bellerin, Kolarov, Evans

            Takes way too many shots outside the box comapred to inside the box.

            1 SiB out of 10 shots is poor, imo.

            Mane, Ozil or Wijnaldum could be good.

            I have faith in Wiji, very nice fixtures to maintain his form. They have the confidence as a team now, and he's at the heart of it. He's always been a goalscorer, it isn't a fluke.

    So now Kolarov is fit, should I still get rid of him with Clichy looming around?

    Want to get rid of one of Kola, Francis or Huth.
    Possible transfers:

    Kola -> Bellerin
    Francis/Huth -> Moreno

    Which one should I do?

    Arsene Wenger confirmed Ramsey will miss Everton match on Saturday

    Arsenal boss hinted 'exhausted' Alexis Sanchez may also be rested

    'He [Aaron Ramsey] is alright but very down because he told me that his hamstring is quite a tough one. He’s out.' Wenger said on Tuesday.

    'Alexis? You could see he was jaded physically. He still pushes himself to much and finished exhausted. Two games with Chile, plus travelling plus Watford and tonight. It’s too much.'

          You'd also need to consider his output might be on the wane after all those games. It happened to him in the second half of last season where he just hit the wall and wasn't as free scoring as he was earlier in the season.

    Hazard looked like he was back to his best last night(played better than he has all season atleast). Went off the post, had a good shot blocked by a defender and was the only Chelsea player to trouble the keeper with a save. Tracked back throughout and still managed to get involved in every attacking move Chelsea made.. Gave me a lot of hope for the weekend atleast 🙂

        Well its obvs bad logic but it depends on how ruthless you want to be in the game and how much you care about getting points!IF the game is your first priority bench martiall likely to play on the wing and kompany will be back.If supporting man u means more to you thats fine nothing wrong with that, then id prob bench pelle personally.

    Mane, Payet, Mahrez, KDB (Fletcher)
    Pelle Vardy Ighalo

    Initial thoughts were Fletcher -> Sanchez and bench Ighalo this week. Then use AOA next week. But with the news about Sanchez should I hold off and save? Or maybe do Francis -> Bellerin?
