Everton are set to be without Phil Jagielka for eight-to-nine weeks, according to Roberto Martinez. United’s Antonio Valencia is forced off with a foot problem, Bojan and Marc Muniesa are early doubts for Stoke’s cup encounter with Chelsea, whilst Harry Kane reveals he’s been playing with a knee knock in recent outings..

Arsenal
Per Mertesacker sat out Arsenal’s home tie against Everton due to illness. In his press conference earlier today, though, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the German international has now recovered and will be available for selection when the Gunners lock horns with Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup tomorrow.

Crystal Palace
Pape Souare was sidelined due to injury for the Eagles’ 1-0 defeat at Leicester City, according to the club’s official website. At present, no word has been given on the severity of his complaint.

Everton
Phil Jagielka faces around two months in the treatment room after damaging medial ligments in his knee during the second half of Everton’s trip to Arsenal. Earlier today, Roberto Martinez rolled out an update on the centre-back, who has been the only defender to start every league match for the Toffees so far this term:

“The medial ligament is affected and it’s an injury that is quite straightforward. It’s hard to tell [how long he will be sidelined for]. The medial ligament depends on what area there is damage to determine how quickly you can recover. At the moment we are going to make sure he gets the right course of treatment. I wouldn’t expect anything longer than eight to nine weeks. There is no other damage to the meniscus or the cartilage. The cruciates [ligaments] are very strong. After the game, we expected the worst especially the way the injury happened and rotating the knee – it could have been anything”

Manchester United
Louis van Gaal revealed that Antonio Valencia sustained a foot injury in the first half of the Manchester derby and was eventually forced to withdraw at the 81-minute mark, making him a doubt for the Red Devils’ home encounter against Middlesbrough in the League Cup:

“He had a kick on his foot in the first half and then I let Darmian warm up on the touchline. But then he played further. However, at the end, he could not continue.”

Newcastle United
Jack Colback is set to be assessed by the Magpies’ medical staff after leaving Wearside on crutches after he was forced off early in the second period due to a hefty challenge from Lee Cattermole. Regardless, Colback picked up his fifth caution of the season at the Stadium of Light, ruling him out of the Toon’s home fixture against Stoke City next weekend.

Norwich
Canaries frontman Dieumerci Mbokani – who has netted in two of the last three Gameweeks – is a minor doubt for the midweek cup trip to Everton due to illness, manager Alex Neil has revealed:

“I think Dieumerci Mbokani has picked up a little bug, flu-type thing, so he has to shake that off but other than that the rest of the squad is fine. Potentially that could rule him out but we’ll see how he recovers from it.”

Stoke City
Geoff Cameron had to be replaced nine minutes into Stoke’s head-to-head with Watford after damaging his thigh while challenging Troy Deeney for possession. Mark Hughes initially expected the US international to be missing for a couple of weeks but rolled out a more positive prognosis this afternoon:

“It looks like a grade one tear so hopefully he might have a chance for the weekend.

Hughes also confirmed that the Potters have a couple more concerns ahead of their midweek cup clash against Chelsea, with Marc Muniesa and Bojan looking doubtful:

“Marc Muniesa has got a slight (thigh) problem, but we are likely to give him another 24 hours. Bojan has an issue with his toe. He’s got a really bad blister on it and it’s hampering him, so we will have to see if it settles down.”

Sunderland
Sam Allardyce is counting the cost of yesterday’s derby win over Newcastle with the Black Cats nursing injury concerns over a trio of players. After the 3-0 triumph, the Sunderland boss conceded he’s sweating on the fitness of John O’Shea, Younes Kaboul and Ola Toivonen:

“John has got a hamstring. Ola did his groin and Younes Kaboul has a calf problem. The only disappointing thing for us was the three injuries. We will have to see how they are for next week. We may get one out of the three fit. I won’t be sure until two or three days into this week and these injuries have settled down.”

Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Kane had heavy strapping on his knee during Spurs’ win over Bournemouth and midweek Europa League meeting with Anderlecht, having suffered a minor knock against Liverpool in Gameweek 9. The Lilywhites’ premier frontman insisted that the strapping is just a precautionary measure and he’ll be at 100% when Villa pay a visit to White Hart Lane next Monday:

“I’m not far off. It was a little niggle I picked up against Liverpool and we didn’t want to risk it midweek. The manager makes his decisions about who plays. I was fully fit for the Bournemouth game and I was always going to be playing. That showed with the performance. The strapping on the knee is a precaution. We haven’t got a game until next Monday now so by then it should be 100 per cent.”

I really need help on this situation or at least some inspiration from someone,

So here it is, I've got no City coverage at all, nada. I honestly think they are an absolute must have for a Norwich (Home) fixture.
    Considering I have 2.9 ITB:

    A) Mahrez to Yaya
    FT
    Bench Vardy/Payet

    B) Azpi+Mahrez to KDB+Moreno
    -4
    Bench Vardy/Payet
**This would mean terrible fixture rotation GW13 as it breaks up the rotation… and also, Chelsea have NOR BOU SUN WAT GW 13,15,17,18 respectively**

    C) Azpi+Mahrez to Dawson+Silva
    -4
    Bench Vardy/Payet

    D) Play Vardy+Payet and just hope for a low scoring game
    Save FT
    Bench Mahrez

    I have no AOA chip.
    Thanks in advance everyone.

I like the sound of KDB and Moreno but if you really don't like you could take a punt on Yaya. He's getting lots of shots, eventually a few have to go in.

you are going to have to downgrade a midfielder and possibily clyne to moreno n future in order to fund the extra? try count the moves needed to buy aguero without a hit. its probably 3-4 transfers before he is back.

yeah, selling martial instead of ighalo probably saves one more transfer needed to get aguero. i am not convinced by martial on the wing personally.

This guy in my mini league is #22 in Canada and 2200 Overall with 583 points..

His team always under-performs compared to mine, but his captain saves him. He captained Aguero when he got 5, Sterling when he got 3, and now Kane this past week. If it wasnt for Kane he would have gotten 34 points..which is exactly what he got from captaining him. LOL

    I'm 97 points behind him..

any suggestions..? tips? Can i still catch up?

How are you gearing up for the GW 11 fixture change?

Are you keeping faith with the players like Vardy,Payet,Mahrez etc. that have delivered well so far?

Are you convinced that they would keep scoring like they have been now that they have tougher fixtures?

Or, are you weighing up your options and planning to make calculated moves to ditch some of the in form players for the ones who have very good fixtures coming up?

Are you playing it safe or are you willing to gamble?

Playing it safe first half of the season. Payet already had a couple of difficult fixtures but still delievered. Looks a potential season keeper.

I won't touch my LEI boys until they show some kind of regression in terms of both form and goal involvement. At the moment, odds are Vardy+Mahrez owners only need one LEI goal to get attacking returns from both.

But obviously I'm not gonna keep blind faith in any of them, and I always have alternative players lined up. I just need to see signs of regression first, and it just isn't there.

        Good points.

Random Mahrez benchings could be an issue. Moreover Leicester played poor defenses till now tbh. The real test begins now.

Tts why at this stage i choose not to wildcard. Maybe in a week or 2 it will be more apparent. Wildcarding now could mean selling form players like payet n mahrex which is silly.

1 thing for sure is that selling form player for player with good fixture is just a gamble and hope for the best rather than having some concrete stats to back up the decision.

Keep some of the form players and take one or two risks. Could be profitable.

I personally think they all have very similar attacking threat.
I also want none of that 59min going on in my team.
So for me it was VVD or Fonte.
Both similar attacking threat (Fonte almost assisted yesterday's goal) and everyone was going with VVD.

Therefore, I obviously went Pelle 😉

Yes, either Rojo or Jones. Everyone here says neither is nailed on. From last week http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/10/19/lineup-lessons-gameweek-9-part-one/ :

Van Gaal continues to rotate his centre midfield options, while Rojo may now have an extended run at left-back. Jones may also keep his starting berth ahead of Blind, with the physical challenge of Wilfried Bony a similar one to that of Romelu Lukaku.

I'd say short term Iglaho, however like myself if you plan on getting aguero straight back in you will probably need a budget striker. Vardys untouchable so people if you must

Stones if you must? Not sure if Coleman is still a goal threat and I remember Stones getting one against United last season so there's that.

Lukaku . Easier looking run and on penalties.

After intensive training on the Fantasy Football Scout Website I've managed to put some of my music on to my Iphone....well a bit anyway...

Oh and also Big Fish little, Fish Cardboard box as a practise download...

You don't need to download them, no. As long as you have an Internet connection you can listen.

You can download them if you want to listen offline, but that requires a subscription. I wouldn't consider that unless you try it out and decide you like it, and would use it offline.

It has both mainstream and obscure. Decided to search a couple of the artists you mentioned, Louis Armstrong and Ela Fitzgerald, and their music is on there. What's more, there's a lot of it too, dozens of albums. You can add the albums or songs you like to a playlist or playlists creating your own custom album if you like, with only yet favourite songs. No skipping tracks you don't like.

It's a tenner a month, or you can get it for a fiver if you can get your hands on a student card. There are family memberships avaliable too which give you a discount with each extra subscription, but the standard option is probably best.

Essentially, with the subscription service you get offline listening and no adverts (they are about 10 seconds and occur every 3-4 songs, nothing too obtrusive).

Well worth a tenner a month for pretty much any music you can imagine.

The best thing is, with the paid version, you can actually add in your own songs if they are so obscure that they aren't on the database. These are avaliable with all your other music, on your computer and your phone.

                  I have the membership.

Me and the missus use it on our phone and download on wifi to save albums we like for offline listening.

When offline you can listen to different music on same Spotify at one time.

I have it too, Wakey - virtually all music represented with a few notable exceptions (Beatles etc) who don't ever allow their music to be streamed.
The advantages are huge. I run it through a laptop, with a lead out of the phones socket into my hi-fi (old school), and the sound quality is not much off that of CD's, plus the choice of music is mindblowing for not much ££££
The downsides are mainly for the artists, who get paid peanuts

Agree - but this is a whole other conversation. You can usually get a Spotify free trial for a month or so before you choose to pay. I think you'll love it, and overall it's a big saving on buying music by album/tracks.

I think streaming services have actually benefitted artists, current ones at least.

In recent years, CDs have been a thing of the past. If it weren't for streaming services like Spotify there would be a hell of a lot more people downloading music illegally.

Well, there's truth in that - but still big changes needed in favour of the Artists. Hardly anybody can make a living wage out of streaming royallties on their music

Indeed, and now with Apple putting their hat into the ring with Apple Music, it looks like the days of paying for songs on iTunes will be over too.

On the other hand, making music widely available through services like Spotify etc. gets artists' names out there which can help entice people to gigs and festivals.

I forgot to mention, you can download Spotify on your computer too. This means you have any tracks you add on your phone on your computer, and vice versa. The PC version is a lot like iTunes and is easy to navigate.

No need to plug anything in and sync, just search for a song and you're good.
