Having assessed the stand-out Defenders over the last four Gameweeks yesterday evening, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park. Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth’s playmakers feature in our analysis, whilst we also take a look at some in-form protagonists from Everton, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle as the search for a Dimitri Payet replacement intensifies.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    These friendlies are SO stupid.

Qualifiers I get, but these friendlies are just cash grabs under the guise of giving the managers an opportunity to experiment.

Waste of time and needless risk to players' club careers.

Unpopular opinion maybe: I don't think Barkley will ever be world class. I know he's only 22 and there's plenty of time but..

Can't agree with this just yet, I personally think he's one of the best players England have.

He'd be in my team in a 4-3-3 anyway.

He needs to be more disciplined, doesn't have his head on straight yet. That being said, he's young and that's usually not one of the first things to come along anyways.

22 or not, if he is / was going to be world class, he would be influencing matches much more than he does.

Some players just aren't football-smart and it's not something that can be trained (and if so, not easily). It's often the limiting factor IMO

I think it's probably a little early tbh, as you said he's only 22.

The thing is, England aren't exactly a top drawer side. You don't have to be 'absolutely amazing' to be one of England's best players.
