Having assessed the stand-out Defenders over the last four Gameweeks yesterday evening, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park. Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth’s playmakers feature in our analysis, whilst we also take a look at some in-form protagonists from Everton, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle as the search for a Dimitri Payet replacement intensifies.
Bosnia equalizer.
Dzeko no...
Edin Dzekoooooh
Messi injured.....
McClean dire, asleep.
🙁
RIP Carrick
Coleman CS gone 😛
🙁
Dzeko (C) though 😀
I wish Dzeko was still at City
Roma legend now
Great acquisition, always thought he was a very talented player.
If that's a long term injury, that might be the end of Carick's career...
Missed it - what happened?
I'm not entirely sure. Played a terrific pass, then ended up on the ground.
and at least in the PL I think we're better with him and Morgan starting, though I only have 1 game to base that on
Just when you thought this England team couldn't be any more pony. Shelvey comes on
Wont get that late goal from Keane then, bonkers not to put him on..
Carrot injured
These friendlies are SO stupid.
Qualifiers I get, but these friendlies are just cash grabs under the guise of giving the managers an opportunity to experiment.
Waste of time and needless risk to players' club careers. This times a million
I don't get why internationals are risks to careers anymore than club games.
you're playing for something in the club games, what are you playing for in the international games? just maybe chemistry or some managerial tinkering..
Haha f**k off Russia
What have we learnt from this England friendly. I've learnt England are still shite
Yup, that's about it
Ali has played 8 prem games and gets an England cap. Says it all really.
They have Caz mata and Koke on the bench
and we have Alli, Dier and Shelvey
All of them should be playing ahead of Fab though...
I thought Cesc was excellent tonight
When you have kyle Walker at rb for your int team you know the team is in trouble
England are pone
As an Irishman I know I shouldn't be happy about that Dzeko goal but I'm going to the second leg at the Aviva so it should make for an even better game now. Silver lining
Dzeko acting the maggot here 😕
Got to finish that Kane if you want to be a world class striker
Or pass it to sterling
Casillas making it really hard for de Gea to get in...
Anyone else see Dzeko stick his hand out so the ref can pull him up? Good on the ref for not helping him 😉
Just need Schweinsteiger injured now so that LvG will have to play Schneiderlin and Herrera together.
He'll probably just start Fellaini
True, stubborn b*stard.
*drools*
Although that's probably a tad harsh. Schweini's been good. Not that I wish injury on anyone but this ^
Carrick is class.
1-1 would still be a great result..4 minutes left
http://replygif.net/i/1209.gifThis is a very young England side. It's nice to see them get experience like this so young.
Hart, gash. Sterling, turd. Barkley, useless. Kane, wasteful.
Sigh.Karlihno, pessimistic.
Not in the slightest. Just realistic and objective, unlike you Mr Barkley 😉
So much has been made of barkey, I don't see it
Whole team was a mess
Delph sitting in cm shows the lack of depth or talentFar too much of the game passes Barkley by and he losses possession too often in the wrong areas.
Which Diarra is playing for France today?
Lasanna Diarra.
Thanks
No Arsenal players no win for England. 😉
This.
Arsenal have English players?
Theo is the one we needed 🙂
INJURY UPDATE:
"Joel Veltman replaces Virgil van Dijk, who appeared to pick up a knock towards the latter stages of the first half"
VVD sub wasn't tactical.Lukakau was.
Dial up?
No, but people were unsure whether he was injured or not...
Said on bbc? Are they just guessing then?
Well, has it been posted on here then?
Some were asking why VVD got subbed off...Sorry Puyol
Whatever. (also the replies to this also suggest that most didn't know)
whatever
That is such an out of date comment - not clever. There could be 100 reasons why Puyol had only just heard.
thanks for your input
Bloody hell
So glad no more int breaks for a few months
Oh snap.
I'll be fine.
FFS.
Knock picked up at around the 30 min mark, played on for 15 more. Surely one would think he would be fit in 10 days?
Yes but any doubt causes panic
Did payet not play on as well?
Who shall I transfer out to make way for Kun -
A - Lukaku
B - Vardy
C - Ighalo
ThanksC next week
Nobody yet
If you want to do it next week: Vardy
If you want to wait a bit longer: Ighalo
Unpopular opinion maybe: I don't think Barkley will ever be world class. I know he's only 22 and there's plenty of time but..
Can't agree with this just yet, I personally think he's one of the best players England have.
He'd be in my team in a 4-3-3 anyway. He needs to be more disciplined, doesn't have his head on straight yet. That being said, he's young and that's usually not one of the first things to come along anyways.
22 or not, if he is / was going to be world class, he would be influencing matches much more than he does.
Some players just aren't football-smart and it's not something that can be trained (and if so, not easily). It's often the limiting factor IMO
I think it's probably a little early tbh, as you said he's only 22.
The thing is, England aren't exactly a top drawer side. You don't have to be 'absolutely amazing' to be one of England's best players.haha fair enough on the qualifier
He's a good player - maybe too early to tell what level he'll reach. Can you think of a genuinely world class player playing in a mediocre side?
I think you are right. Alot of time to change but he has only put in random good performances. Nothing consistent
Hugely overrated
