Who's the best 4.5ish mid at the moment?
Gosling I think.
Many say Gosling, some say Surman, Eden Hazardous will say "King".
The way I see it is Gosling is the best solid pick with decent chance of attacking returns (on 3 yellows though). Surman is the cheapest, gives no bench point woes while nailed as can be. King is the OOP cheap explosion dream
Here's the list I wrote down the other day when I was looking at 5th mids:
Gosling - 4.4
Drinkwater - 4.5
King - 4.6
Abdi - 4.7
Morrison - 4.8
Albrighton - 4.9
Alli - 5.0
Lanzini - 5.4
Literally all of these are good options, obviously your choice mostly depends on how much you're willing or able to spend on a 5th mid, e.g. if I pick Kane over Aguero I can get Lanzini, whereas if I go for Aguero I can only get Gosling.
Looking ahead Vardy and Ighalo will need to be off loaded for the Christmas period. That is bad news because there value is low and hard to replace.

Mixed thoughts on that.
On the one hand, I'm a big proponent of offloading Vardy given his fixtures.
On the other, the likes of him and Ighalo aren't likely to get rotated much as they're so central to their team. Whereas on paper better strikers like Kun could easily be rested.
Thats a valid point, havent thought about roation. I am not jumping on the Kun bandwagon.
I have money for Kane next week so I think I will get rid of Vardy. I hate to do it seeing as

I'm doing that move this week.
Over the last five weeks Kane has outscored Vardy, even with Vardy's insane form. Now Leicester's fixtures are about to nosedive while Spurs' look pretty excellent.
Even if Vardy's form continues I can't see him outscoring Kane for the next while.

Wouldn't bother, just get Gosling or someone else. Lots of good 5th mid options who are nailed on.
There are other cheapy options that are more nailed. Look at Morrison from WBA, he has good fixtures over Xmas, when you may need him most.

Just trying to work out who my grand playoff is going to replace Pelle with. I may have a little advantage there. If you have Lukaku and Vardy already and only have 0.7 to play with I think it puts you short of Kane. Any ideas?

With Liverpool playing Swansea and Man City playing Southampton I have the old conflict of interest problem this weekend as I have Kolarov/Moreno and Mane/Ayew. My 5th midfielder is Gosling who has great stats and at home to Everton.
Thinking Mane > Firmino for a hit and benching Ayew for Gosling. Liverpool have much better upcoming fixtures than Southampton.
Wise move or should I just play Mane/Ayew?

well in my opinion even without Kompany City can still keep a cleanie against a Pelle less Southampton so that's covered and then for the other game I think Moreno should do well but with the Europa league still to play I think that it may be wise to if possible hold off until then to see if any thing happens to Moreno or Firmino

Yeah only have 0.1 in the bank so can't afford Coutinho. Plus I read an article that Klopp see's Firmino's position as striker, so after his Man City performance I feel that short term the position is for him to lose. Good short term fixtures = good short term captaincy option imo.
