Some caution regarding transferring in Zouma.

He was immediately dropped to the bench for Hiddink's first game, then there were reports earlier in the week he is to be loaned out. He played against Man Utd due to the fact Cahill was injured (due back soon).

Is he fixed on starter for Chelsea?

Have any links to the loan reports?

I know he's young but I personally think he's far better than Cahill and Terry - he's very pacey and good in the air. Cahill and Terry vs. a pacey striker is suicide

There's a few reports on the net. I have been a Zouma owner in recent weeks, having watched him, I think Cahill and Terry are better defenders. Not surprised Guus benched him.

This. Apart from him, the only other CB Chelsea has is Djilobodji unless they planning to shift Ivanonic doesn't feel right

Not a chance he is going anywhere mid season, unless they bring 2 very good CBs which is not possible imo.
I also don't think Gus has much to say about any transfers/loans at this point considering he will be there till the end of the season only.
Zouma is the best CB at Chelsea atm!

Zouma is a much better defender but had poor positional sense and does not know how to pass the ball

As a Chelsea fan I hope that Terry plays with Zouma as they cover up for the other's weaknesses

It was a toss up between Monreal and Bellerin this week, I went Monreal, lost CS points as I swapped out Sagna.

Any suggestions for this squad for next few weeks:

    Butland | Hennessey
    Monreal | Toby | Shawcross | Moreno | Sagna
    Ozil | KDB | Mahrez | Coutinho | Ramsey
    Ighalo | Lukaku | Vardy

    £3.6m ITB.

I wouldn't mind shipping Coutinho, Ramsey, and Vardy. Would like Kane, Sanchez and Payet, but not sure I can afford all three.

Sagna also a concern if he starts getting rotated.

TV is £104.3. So would have to downgrade Monreal to a £4.7m defender.

GW22 fixtures turn horrible for Butland, ARS lei mun EVE. Also have Schmeichel, who would you get instead of Schmeichel to step in for Butland those games? Or would you let him in the lioncage?

Stoke are tight at home so ARS and EVE are decent games (especially the latter). Besides, he should pick up a lot of saves.

Leicester seem to be slowing down a little so that could also be a decent fixture. And we know the story about United and how they hardly score...

GW21 doesn't look good at all for my defence. Arsenal vs Liverpool playing (Bellerin and Moreno), Tottenham playing Leicester who are so good when they attack. Only left with Dann who has a decent fixture.

Would you transfer out Targett for Wollschied (double up on Stoke) or Evans (has Chelsea away in GW 21 though). There's also Nyom who has a decent run from GW21-23

I like Evans. 4.8 for a Pulis defender is still good. Then again, GW 21 looks hard for him. That's the only blockage.

Williams, not sure. Has Watford and Everton away after Sunderland.

3 excellent players there, and all capable of returns at both ends of the pitch.
I'd hold tough at least we have the mini break after this weekend to reasses.

So are we starting to see some Leicester regression as regards scoring and a tightening up at the back looking at the last few performances?
Or is it a case of horses for course as fixtures tightened up, what are managers expecting in the home game to Bournemouth, still confident to (c) Mahrez/Vardy?

Ozil or Lukaku for cappo I think.

I don't think I'd be capping either. But definitely holding. Leicester look so lethal while attacking, think they were unlucky not to score last night

Vardy scored 1 goal in the last 5 games. His time is up. Sell him after Bournemouth.

They looked better last night than against Liverpool. Mahrez, Vardy and Albrighton all coming close. I think they'll get a comfortable win against Bournemouth personally. I'd be pretty confident captaining Mahrez but on Ozil atm.

I've been looking at Leicester defence, only conceded 4 in last 5 which is great.

Looking at some stats though and they're top for goals attempts conceded in the same period. Fairly high up for big chances conceded too.

Not surprising given the way they played last night though, some very last ditch defending (albeit executed well).

Leicester looked really good. Mahrez was being closed down on the wings, didn't really have the freedom to move forward, but for the brilliant player he is, he did really well. Vardy should have scored one on the counter, he was almost through on goal and Hart came out of his goal, Vardy went for power and put it over, should have passed it into the net I felt.

Aguero should have had a penalty really. Apart from that, I don't remember him getting a lot of chances.

He really is. Saves 0.2 which can come in handy as well. Plus with a defence of Walker Bellerin Dawson Ward. Can't see myself needing to call upon Simpson too much. On my WC so did Francis > Simpson to save some cash.

Bournemouth also conceded 4 in last 5 and stats wise aren't far off Leicester anyway. They have much nicer fixtures though.

I'm looking at Daniels or Williams next week - perhaps both.

Currently. Him of Lukaku for me. Looking for nailed on and I just wonder whether the Tinkerman will rest some more players for an on paper easy game.

Spurs without Dembele will not be as fluid and Lukaku at home is a machine. Whatever happens this season I can look back at getting in and frequently captaining Lukaku as my best move.

Moreno remaining on my bench is offset nicely by a full house of clean sheets for me (Ivanovic, Dann, Bellerin) Nevertheless I wish I'd kept him back - never good to run out of players with one game still to go.
