Capping off the day’s play, Watford duel with Manchester City at Vicarage Road. Notwithstanding their gutsy performance, the Hornets’ five-match unbeaten streak ultimately came to an end at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, while the Sky Blues’ trip to Leicester ended in a goalless draw.

Only Spurs (eight) mustered more goals than Watford (seven) over the last four Gameweeks, while the latter also ranked joint-fourth for big chances (nine). The Hornets retained their diligence on the defensive end, conceding four goals and the joint-fewest big chances (two) across that stretch, offering prospective Sergio Aguero investors food for thought. It’s also worth noting that only three sides have conceded fewer home goals (eight) than Watford.

Man City charted joint-second for goals (seven), second for attempts (73), top for shots inside the box (45) and second for shots on target (25) over the last four Gameweeks, marking a significant upturn in attacking potency compared to their four match-ups prior to Gameweek 16. Nonetheless, Manuel Pellegrini’s charges are still struggling to exert their influence away from home, illustrated by the fact that only three teams have chalked up fewer road goals (eight).

Coutinho has to go due to rubbishness....but what about Moreno? Is it worth a stay of execution to see how his fortunes change when Sturridge returns ? (If actually)

He was quite good today attacking wise.

i always focus my transfers on forwards. Moreno is nailed and had a few decent crosses so will get some attacking returns. No rush to use a transfer on imo.

      • 10 Years
      10 years, 4 hours ago

Liverpool keep some clean sheets from time to time, mostly against mid-table opposition, so he is still a decent long-term pick considering to his attacking threat.

i think in this season, moreno can be a bench fodder, unless kun or sanchez are back, but gotta play him carefully, i'll consider starting him only at home, that too if other defenders have terrible fixtures
